Fab results! Congrats on achieving the library of your dreams despite the IKEA trauma. Having room on your shelves is great. I think I would leave the top shelves more empty for now and also add lots of plants and spread out the TBR according to genre. Add some memorabilia would be a nice touch to make it more "your space". I love the idea of a string of lights to make it cozy.
I love having a TBR section for books I want to read next and books from the library and that I have borrowed. I do try to read those first, to varying degrees of success depending on my moods. TBH, I feel like any books one hates should go on to new readers, to make room for other books.

I would leave the small middle shelf open as more of a center for things like pictures or a few books on display. It would separate the 2 sides and make it pop. ❤

You can fill the shelves that are empty between the books with decor until you fill them with all your future books ♥️ I love how you organised it and will absolutely do it the same way now!
I would get some pretty sconces to go on the open wall and then you could do some smaller lights within or around the shelves! Also, if you add trim pieces to the edges of the shelves, it’ll make it look more custom/built-in and not just ikea ☺️

My dream library 📚 make sure you leave space between the back of the book shelves and the pages so the pages and the books wont create mold. I saw a video on tik tok and I didn’t know that could happen.
Love the shelves! I would have all kinds of cute little things on the shelves too. Mine are stuffed with cute little things that make me smile, and makes my heart sing! Can't wait to see the chair and rug and stuff when you add it!

If you like small town romances I really recommend Stephanie Archer’s series about Queen’s Cove which is a small town series, they HIT. I read the Queen’s Cove series (4 books) in one week because they were so good 😭

Steph you should def read bridgerton! it's SO good and worth it. I personally read it out of order (if you don't mind minor spoilers mentioned in the previous books) but I don't really think you need to read in order! I started with Colin's and ended with eloise!
