    Thank you sir for getting the job done without removing the bumper cover. I dreaded removing my bumper cover because I have a push bar and I braced it with extra reinforcement and didnt want to undo all of that. Now if I can find that Promax A.C machine online I'd be a happy man!! Great video! Thank you!

    Thanks for posting this video. From start to finish, how much time did it take to replace the condenser and recharge the system?

    I wish one of you guys doing these escape condenser replacements would state more info on the orings, size etc.

      Buy the selection of green Orings in a plastic box and match to what you have. Specified measurements are not made often and even then production is not precise. So you have to match by eye and feel. www.amazon.com/POVAST-Conditioning-Compressor-Seals-Ring/dp/B089XWSWWP/ref=asc_df_B089XWSWWP/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=516555722597&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4115576599008037290&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008123&hvtargid=pla-1278257476533&th=1@@doccowin8236

    Did you have to evacuate the system or was it already empty?

    • @bowhitegardener3121
      @bowhitegardener3121  Před rokem

      The system fails and empties itself usually. You should seal the system after replacing all parts then pull a vacuum then refill. The old method of purging with refrigerant is illegal now.

      Good observation. Talk to the car companies about how they design and build in these weak points that dump the refrigerant.

    When removing the seals from new condenser, is there supposed to be air coming out from it? Was that not supposed to happen?

    • @DustynRougier
      @DustynRougier Před 2 lety

      That is normal. The manufacturers typically fill the new coils with nitrogen before capping them off.

    • @bowhitegardener3121
      @bowhitegardener3121  Před rokem

      When the condenser is sealed at the factory, the barometric pressure there will usually be different, so when you open there could be some air escaping.

    When you removed the condenser, did transmission fluid leak out?

    • @clayhenderson7578
      @clayhenderson7578 Před 3 lety +1

      You will get some minor dripping, but it should not be spilling out. Not enough fluid to worry about.

  • @tlegg8745
    @tlegg8745 Před 4 lety +1

    What was the problem with the condenser?

      Mine I just discovered is disintegrating.

    • @bowhitegardener3121
      @bowhitegardener3121  Před 10 měsíci

      In the video, I showed the location of the leakage. It is caused by an attachment point bracket which was slightly too lightweight and causes the coil to crack after enough vibration. Sad, Ford execs need to spend less time with executive "conferences" in Hawaii and more time in design meetings.

      I attach the link for one for $46 which I found today. And BTW the one I put on is still working fine and I bet will outlast the service time of the OEM original part. www.ebay.com/itm/186118116213?fits=Year%3A2010%7CModel%3AEscape%7CMake%3AFord&hash=item2b55811375:g:SfIAAOSwFolkpMb8&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8J4zIAuyykBspSHOMqbY7i28VLN7bVxIQM2hc8Vq6v%2BLh8ftJzMzjq1mVAIq0QbqgCxcKJ6V3h%2Fgg%2BaLjCBZfi4B41tmuBp7xUjPwAE3Np9horJ1Nz2sFWFHoaGbuN67kkO%2F15hVLfPSxQiOu0tJuDrxu1Ut%2BPgKTUwl5BGOxpkVK30EUUrSncJHyyfraxdtMCYJgKwsBz%2BWOSSGZhe%2BeAmG8hjzlg6TtLKB1Cg0kwDhwlgBu4HkW4SKF6eQ5dsL%2FZM2iAwFv7qsGZ1r3j0prFmf8StyAEK4zgB47F7vwbvaK0IBwH09S7heh0lKQq%2F3Wg%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR6rtn_LlYg

    • @bowhitegardener3121

      Usually not but it is possible to look up the spec on each part and how much replacement oil it should take. The condenser might take 1/2 ounce to 1 ounce.
