a friendly tip: when you wash dishes let them soak in hot soapy water for a while so when you go and clean them any food that is sticking on will be easier to clean off i always do this specially if a dish has been sitting for a while that i forget about.

Putting your couch at the foot of your bed would allow you to place a TV against the wall, either mounted to the wall or on a cabinet or dresser which could additionally provide storage and allow you to watch TV comfortably from both your bed and couch. Much nicer to watch a movie on a full size TV than on a laptop.
