I’m involved with a local race track, and for the entirety of the season, the Late Tim MacNeil made Rescue 2 his personal vehicle, even at Shubenacadie Fire & Emergency Services. His Chevy crew cab didn’t just have spreaders, he had chemical as well. He would have picked up a few ideas from this.
My dad was the first person in Perth Western Australia to have the jaws of life used to extricate him from our car wreck. A drunk ran into our volkswagon combi van & dad was trapped.
I always thought the spreaders were called the ‘Big Daddies’ for the longest time Every since I went to that school fieldtrip to the Firehall In 3rd grade 🥲

It's so much easier to carry them around now, I had to drive my pickup before when they had the Honda hydraulic power pack and hoses! Now it just fits behind the seat. You can also jump start anything with that battery! 80 volts really makes the engine spin!
@@ianthompson2802 oh, 80 volts refills the magic smoke in the starter and engine computer, it's just the excess that overflows out, flushing the system so to speak.
Can we petition these people become directors for a comedy/action movie that takes place in and around a fire house? I’d love to see what they could do with an actual budget, time, and equipment
Unfortunately the "fun" factor seems to drop off a bit when you have to use them on scene. Its a toss-up which is worse.... the ones screaming and hollering or the ones who'll never scream and holler again. 🤔
@@007tallguyyea in action things aren't as fun cause there are things attached to it. I shoot somewhat frequently (mostly bow), its fun. If I was forced to use those skills it would be horrifying.

When we do training on extractions junk yards donate cars to us to do the training
Cars due for scrap can often still run, make great cars to test stuff on, since they'll be stripped for metal anyways
