Dave Bassett and Kevin Keegan always struck me as the most direct talking and honest managers when interviewed.

Not a forest fan but enjoying these programmes as the team had some unforgettable players and managers during the 90s. Always like dave basset, was he hard done by the owners, nowt knew there at forest. That van Hooijdonk seems like newcastle jack colback

I love these interviews. It's a great window to the hard working glory days of these athletes, and I'm allways eager to listen to more Clough stories.
The only down part is the eerie, sad music... I get the nostalgia thing, but after a couple of videos, it's like a funeral song going on and on.
Besides that, these are amazing, thanks for sharing. Godbless.

      You having a laugh?
It's more bad then ever and so sad to see.
The real Nottingham was full of fun with a passion.....now you got 13k students full of a level thick as fk almost getting killed everyday because they can't cross a road.....having a simple thing like a cig in the centre with a crowd round coming to a fight because you won't give them one, druggies on every shop corner scratching the streets like rats watching your every move.....and out of all of it they have ruined the nightlife to make the policing more easy when they do next to fk all.
      RIP Nottingham

Irving Scholar was most at fault, but Van Hooijdonk should never have gone on strike from Forest! He was totally selfish, full of himself, and didn't give a shit about the consequences of his actions. His behaviour was like that of a school boy, and he wasn't man enough to simply admit to Dave Bassett that he wanted to leave / move to another club and then agree to a transfer fee and sign the necessary documents. Truly pathetic!

I blame Scholar and the rest of the board. Undermining Bassett while he was on holiday. The fact the board told Bassett he would have eight million to spend and then a short while later informing him they needed to raise two and a half! And Bassett blames Pierre!? Pah.

This is EXACTLY why I am a late convert to this excellent series behind-the-scenes.
Scholar promises 8 Million then switches to having to raise 2.5 Million AFTER promotion? Then this most Profesional and efficient Guy suddenly can't get Campbell's papers ready each day? Unthinkable. So Kevin goes. Pierre sees no ambition and it's downhill from there and Harry who got them up gets sacked because obviously with no strikers they are going to sink in THe Premiership...

Kinda bonkers how he hammers PVH but sidesteps laying into Scholar. PVH was obviously an unprofessional tool, but his was a poor (but understandable) response to what was imposed on him.
Scholar was in charge, deceived the players and manager, and was ultimately responsible for the whole sorry mess.
