    Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. czcams.com/users/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

    Love it my HS928 now over 17 years old, it is still a beast, in high snow love they way it just goes through it while I watch my neighbors machines stale and struggle to get into the snow

    I live in New Hampshire and I have a 30 year old HS828 Honda. It has never failed to start (never more than 2 pulls) and it has never, ever broken down. I do regular service on it but I don't baby it. As old as it is, It can still throw snow across the road into my neighbors driveway. Never once has it clogged even with the heaviest wet snow. It is starting to make a little rumble from the auger assembly so this spring I will tear it down and rebuild it. If I ever need to buy another, it will be a Honda.

    Funny thing about Honda blowers is everyone knows they are the best by far, no need to make videos to show it!

      The Simplicity PRO series is actually what we here at the dealer consider to be the next step down because of it's PowerBoost technology. It'll never stop. It'll eat nails. It's a beast.

    I've owned one of these for 12 years now. Never had a problem with it. The only thing that out works it is a bigger Honda blower. Hands down the best snowblower money can buy.

    Look at the rhythm of the snow coming out of the shoot. Can be seen good at 3:27 on. Its just like the exhaust from the Aurora aircraft with the pulse detonation when flying at mach 10.
    No longer is a large caliber gun the gauge for the size of a guy's manhood, its the size of his blower. Instead of a gun, you can just bury a deer and wait for him to suffocate. Matter of fact, I bet you can bring geese down with this beast.
    You should put the orange balls that are on power lines in your trees to warn aircraft to fly around your property before one is brought down from the rooster tail this monster produces. You da man, man.

  • @honestycounts9352

    When the snow gets that deep, you are supposed to use the tracks to FLOAT over the snow and take 9" 'CUTS' into the snow bank, one cut at a time. That way you can cut through snow drifts that are 6 feet or even deeper. That's why the tracks are so important because you cannot do that with a wheeled blower.

    Is this the same machine Honda started selling in the US this year? I bought one and am very disappointed it clogged so bad that I ended up putting it away and shoveling. This never happened with my old HS 929. Granted I only used it 3 times last year but again my old machine never cogged! I have heard that the US machines have a design flaw which causes them to clog.

    • @izodfrog
      @izodfrog Před 8 lety +2

      Maybe you should check the chute to see if it has an arm cut off stuck inside it.

    • @Addicted2fractals
      @Addicted2fractals Před 7 lety +2

      Notice on your new one there is a 5" lip at the bottom of the chute opening. Cut it out so that it's like the previous gen HS928 and it will never clog again.

      it's cheaper in the long run, other brands are cheaper up front but you'd wear out 5 of those before 1 Honda. I've had a 928 for 5 years and all I've done is change the oil before every season, starts first pull even after sitting all summer. We had a craftsman 13hp where I work it didn't throw snow even close to as far as my 9hp honda and after 3 years the belts were done, all the bearings were falling apart and the gearbox for the augers was cracked.....it ended up going in the junk pile.

  • @skiprope536

    Why is your video so shaky? Naked, Coffee, DT's????
    I have this machine with wheels HS928AW I have a Ariens Deluxe 824, Ariens 826HO and an MTD year 1995.
    The MTD in powder snow kicks all their asses as it is fast and light to move, Sucks at the end of the drive with salted melted snow and shoot gets clogged,
    The Ariens both of them kick ass all the time. Never clog never give me any problems other than normal repairs. Scrapes great an leaves the drives clean.
    The Honda is not worth the money compared to the Ariens. The Honda is full of power and blows incredible...BUT BUT the shoes are on the back suck. The scraper Sucks, and it is a Bear to move around. I am a big guy and strong and the HONDA is really a pain in my opinion. I have run them all the Ariens for over 20 Plus Seasons the MTD the same and the Honda for at least 10. So I know what I am talking about. And the ARIENS DO NOT RUST. The Honda's do. The Augers hit the ground if not adjusted properly. It is really to bad because the motor is a beast but pound for pound my Ariens with the OLD TECHUMSA's stays right with the HONDA in the power DEPT!
