Honda engineers are smiling at this beautiful display of their work. That impeller is the key to this. Love that Cessna sound of the impeller.
Man that thing works good! After running my little 11.5HP Craftsman for a few years I can really tell from your video how good that Honda works.
That's a great video you've done there and I agree with everything you've said here about the Honda snow blower. I've enjoyed seeing this. Great machine! Thanks for posting it.
Ah, the perfect fountain of snow. Nice arc! Thank you for sharing this.
I live in sc and we got 4 " once this year, so I'm not sure how I ended up watching this snowblower video but I couldn't bring myself to stop! Hondas are amazing, I've never seen a snowblower in action but had no idea it would projectile vomit snow at such a height or speed. When you was down beyond the telephone pole it hit me how close it looked to an old steam engine locomotive rolling down the tracks with the mountains in the background. Very cool machine and location..
The huge arc of snow is incredibly beautiful!!
That's called the rooster tail effect. Honda, Toro and Ariens are well known for it.
This is awesome! I have a Honda lawnmower and I'm convinced that Honda is a way to go for outdoor power equipment!
Is it a riding lawnmower or push type? I agree and wish I had a Honda lawnmower.
Push type model HRR216VKA, more like walk behind type and on fastest speed - run behind type. Its rear wheel driven so its pretty easy to maneuver.
I love this! The snow is mesmerizing to watch....Nice throw!
Just bought a HSS970ETS...it`s called 928 in the states I believe. ...with all the bells and whistles.. Tried it out a bit on the old hard 14 inches of snow...it`s amazing how it chews through with ease..throwing it over to the next county :) Unbelievable machines. Can`t wait for more snow this winter
Fantastic powerful blower!!! Great video
Good Grief!!!.....that is one massive monster of a machine!...it blowed snow almost as high as the trees!..this video shows what a great snowblower can do to prevent a possible "heart attack"...mine is a 7 1/2 hp Ariens that I've had for over
52 years and is still going strong!..as a young man, I recalled shoveling and shoveling that appeared "forever", but now, thats all changed for many folks!.
I have a sno-tek 24 as well, and from last years 5 inch snows it did pretty well, I can't wait to get more snow this year and see how it performs, it does do quite well.
So badass you just tarp it and than come out of nowhere with it. I respect ✊
Tanks for nice Video Honda m8 :) I have had Honda 760 + Honda 1380 and this year i just both Honda 1590GXi A Fantastic machines Regards from Norway
Awesome...that snow blower is amazing. I can't wait for winter.
Looks like it sends the snow right back to where it came from! Wow that's high!
Assmuncher you are the man! Got me into honda snowblowers
Been checking out similar videos for a future purchase for my snow removal business. You may have narrowed it down. Impressive...
I would love to see it working in deep snow. Hondas are great!
More please, great video hopefully one day I'll be able to get my hands on one.
Nice weapon... I have a HSS1332... the more snow the better it works
As a teenager I used a Honda snowblower to clear sidewalks for a public building. They are the best machines. Also like the belt traction instead of tires.
Awesome machine!!!! I enjoy running my snowblower.
Looks like dry, fluffy snow. The stuff we get here is usually wet and heavy. The Hondas do a great job with that too. I don't know about starting at full throttle though, even though that is what the manual says.
I love my 1132! Best snowblower IMO
This video made me go out and purchase a used Honda hs1132 track unit. Thing is awesome. I did a comparison video between ariens vs Honda track unit to see which snowblower threw further.
🌵 this is the best Snow Fountain I have seen. More more. I wish you would have done more showed more oh I was mesmerised thank you 02-15-19. 6:31 pm pst
The current Honda Snowblowers are made in North Carolina..and the current Ariens Snowblowers are made in Wisconsin...both are great machine..and here in New Hampshire I've used track models from both..
Starts on the first pull 😍😍😍
That thang can throw snow!!! Looks like Old Faithful blowing off!
I went thru 13 inches of snow here in Chicago with my dads Crafstman 179cc 4 stroke OHV w/ electric start snowblower and it went flawless thru it. All this winter Im using it and it runs perfect. Had it for 6 years and keep it in the basement. Its not as big as yours but it does get the job done. For a snowblower like yours, I can see if i was living way up north somewhere and getting 3 to 6 feet of snow regularly. Would love to have a big snowblower like yours but it would be overkill here in Chicago.
We are only up to 91 inches so far this season, but you never know when we might have a real winter again
this is so much fun to watch....soothing
Nice machine , when u first start lower the idle down to it warm up
that's a helluva snowblower!!!! I would like something like that, if I was to relocate out to the boonies in Minnesota or ND !
I'd call that snowblower old faithful. Impressive throwing distance!
Appropriate name. When I hit old snow that has refrozen it throws it half again as far!
I want one of these!
Great work powerful engine
Yeah it is an amazing machine and even more so now, since I have modified it. Not that it needed it.
@9SecondStreetMustang Hahahaha....so would I. Actually the tags are ski tickets and they are on the pants not the jacket. I keep them on all winter just to see how many times I have skied. :)
I got myself 3 of them Honda snow blowers you can run circles around any other big box store brand like a joke. Very smart!
Man.that thing can throw snow.great vid.
Thanks Bryan! Yeah, on a windy day, I can send the snow to the next town over! ;-)
Thanks Ian.
Watch out when you're walking out that door. The first step is a doozy.
And where are your safety glasses?
Cool blower!
My significant other is an assistant underwriter for an insurance company. She reviews site reports that reveal non-coverable things like curled shingles, 4-step staircases with no rail, etc. I can't let her see that door; she'd go bonkers!
That thing is sweet!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks! When I was using it yesterday for a super light snowstorm, it was windy and most of the snow was rising up into a plume and drifting away in a cloud. :-)
that is some floofy snow. probably wouldnt be able to go any faster, but that is damn impressive.
definately powerful
Which is why it has SAE 5W oil in it...30 seconds of warmup time.
I own the same Snowblower,......... Best investment!........... Built a shed for it,...... 😎👍 Enjoy!!
Thanks. This video has been featured on our FB group HONDA SNOWBLOWER ENTHUSIASTS.
Thanks Anthony. I love your Facebook group! Very informative. Lots of people who love Honda's as much as I do.
Thanks good video. The Honda or Ariens are the best.
I am finding that snow blowing manufacturers are getting better. Ariens, Honda, Toro and Club Cadet are very competitive now. I like my tracked Honda which is great with traction and riding over drifts or streets to get to the driveway. The Toro is a good deal with clog free shutes and dependable motors. My Honda 13/32 has shear pins that break. I go through about 4-5 a year which is a nuisance but my new Toro 14/32 has a safety shut off and no shear pins. That is such a time saver. Serious snow removal requires a snow blower back up. In my case if one of my blowers goes down I am pretty screwed. The back up is a life saver. Using an atv with a blade will beat up your bike in no time. Small enclosed cab tractors like Kubota are really expensive. In Canada, one with a cab, shovel and a blower on the back will run north of $30k. I looked at the Mahindra with the same features and it costs $27k. But the quality does not meet that of the Kubota.
If you have a smart phone, try the app Alpine Replay. It keeps up with your speed, vertical feet, trails you ran everything.. Sweet snow machine!
I have total snowblower envy. My troy built seems so weak now. Great video!
+krobak47 Have you tried the impeller modification? A lot of people have posted videos of them using rubber cut from a truck mudflap which they screw onto the impeller blades, on any kind of snowblower, creating zero space between the impeller and the chute. The difference is pretty dramatic. I have NOT done that to this snowblower, but the tolerances are already pretty tight on a Honda. I will try it someday.
He probably has an impeller kit on his. I have a 36" with tecu 14hp and just put one on this year..... I have had complaints 3 houses over now.. lol well no, but its a very impressive difference. Its tolerances were pretty lousy so it was quite a huge change for mine. Secret is to use the break bars and do half swipes, let it have a good source of air into the impeller and it will become wonder winterland for a hundred feet.
@@wishusknight3009 heck yeah! I appreciate the tips. I’ll definitely have to try it out soon. Thanks!
thats one nice snowblower
most impressive
holy shit! that machine is throwig snow like crazy!
Yes indeed, it kicks some serious ass! This video was before I modified it, so it kicks even more ass now!
My neighbor has one of those Honda snow blowers...when we're both at the end of our driveways he hammers me when the wind helps just a little from about 100' away...BASSTID!!! :)
New Hampshire...we just had 6 inches of new snow on May 26th
wat a beast!
Yeah, it kicks ass...I am about to take it out and clean up Nemo.
Holy snow cannon
Cool, and now you are just dying for a big snowstorm! :-)
I have a yardman on tracks with a 9hp briggs. Its 20 years old and still runs like I just bought it. Only problem I have had with it was breaking sheer pins(grade 8 bolt has been holding for 18 years) and on year 17 I lost 1st and 2nd gear. Tho others worked just fine. 14.95 for a new friction disk fixed that problem. Def got my moneys worth out of it! That new stuff is junk!
Wow. That thing is throwing the snow insanely far.
DAM that thing is a BEAST...almost throwing snow over to that next house!!!! DAYUM!!!!!
VTEC just kicked in yo !
4:44 So you paid like $3000 for your snowblower, but you didn't get a staircase for your door?
Honda makes a nice machine for sure, I just could never justified the extreme cost. My Adrien's snow blower cost about a third the cost and I have had it for 17 years, still runs great and throws snow just like your Honda. Nice video, take care.
Wow.....what a machine
Yes, it is, and it is 100% stock. Someday though, I want to try the impeller modification, where you bolt a chunk of rubber mudflap on the blades that completely closes the gap between blower and chute, which makes it throw even farther. That way I can get more snow into the next county... :-)
That throw distance is insaaaaaaane. Wish I could afford (or rather, wanted to afford) a $3K snowblower!
🌵4:49 what a Fountain of snow that thing puts out. I can watch this video over and over just for the snowfall from the snow fountain.
02-15-19. 6:26 pm pst. 200,984/204
So peaceful , you should so some slow.mo shots
@ragingLIAM It's funny, I have a friend who does that with one of her friends. Every few years, they swap countries for a year. She has always liked the snow, but she lived down under for a while and got spoiled. She finally got used to snow again and right now she is back tapping maple trees and boiling sap down to maple syrup for fun this time of year.
Oh man....that first step out the side door is a doosie!
You're right Travis...if I had that machine, it would be stored in my garage, definitely NOT outside.
+Rob Tro Look a bit more closely, I don't have a garage. I suppose I could put in my neighbor's garage, but then he'd be blowing snow into my yard.
+soaringtractor Yeah, I'll get right on that. When are you having the materials delivered?
Nice!
Way to go friend... I own the same and you don’t know what is snow blowing until you tried a Honda...
Yeah, it's awesome! It is fully stock in this video, but I am doing the impeller modification on it this week. Hopefully it will throw it even farther then! :-)
And tell me what modifications you will do... I’ll do it on mine...
@@joemartinsimonmaurice6164 Well, on lesser snowblowers the tolerances between the impeller and the housing are much more sloppy, so snow and slush can get missed or not fully propelled out of the chute. The modification is putting heavy duty rubber on the impeller blades to seal up the gap. By doing so, you are also extending the diameter of the impeller so it also propels the snow at a higher speed, but sealing the gap is the big thing.. Crappy snowblowers see a 2 or 3 times difference in how far they throw it and it prevents clogging, which never happens on a Honda anyway. I expect it to throw it farther, but it probably won't be as radical a difference as a crappy snowblower gets. I have ordered high impact and high tensile strength smooth 3/8 thick rubber and am now waiting for the stainless steel flatbar, for the pieces that clamp it on. I am using two stainless steel nuts and rounded headed bolts to hold it on. I bought a 1 foot long drill bit to drill the 1/4 holes in the impellers. You need to pop off the 3 bolts that hold on the chute, so you can reach down inside, but that takes just a few seconds to do. You don't have to use stainless, but hey, this is my Honda we are talking about! ;-) I don't want it to rust up and hold snow, I'd rather it stay shiny and slippery.
@@assmunch1 thank you my friend... gonna try it for sure... take care and have a nice winter
You must have been Skywarn trained, you measure snow like you were a seasoned pro!
What do you mean by really annoying? You mean you have to use your arm to aim the chute one way or the other? Use it or lose it. If you buy one from Canada, they have a battery electric start, electric steering, electric chute control, electric angle (downpressure, level or floating). Don't ask me why, but they didn't offer these versions of the snowblowers when I got mine in the US, but that might have changed, since I saw the 13 inch Honda Hybrid one last weekend.
Gorgeous heaven on earth
Which city-state?
Nothing throws like a Honda hs1132.
Most snow blowers can handle the light powdery snow but the real deal breaker is the heavy wet snow. My Honda 13/32 has always worked well with both types of snow and I also appreciate the quiet motor with the Honda. Last year I bought my Toro 14/32 which is a big bad boy and it has been very good with all types of snow. It cost about $800 less than the Honda as well. I live in a part of Canada that sees huge amounts of snow and with global warming most of the snow storms are now followed by rain. It makes snow blowing miserable and difficult. The Honda track version I have is great for getting the blower over deep snow where I don't need to blow. That is a fabulous perk. My new Toro is so large and heavy that getting from point A to B requires that I cut a path. I just ordered from Toro the Electric snow shovel 60 v rechargeable. This should work well in conditions where either of my snow blowers are overkill. Hand shovelling is a danger now that I am getting older. So the electric shovel will be a wise investment. Worth looking into if the snow fall is a few inches and the the area to clear is not too big, ie. sidewalks, stairs or decks.
Have you done the impeller mod to any of your blowers? Mine is stock in this video, but I have since done it and it throws ever farther, especially wet snow. Just curious what age you are that you consider shoveling dangerous.
@@assmunch1 No mods to my Honda. I'm a slightly overweight 59 year old with a family history of heart disease who works in an office all day long. Slinging wet heavy snow in the winter by shovel in cold air is an invitation to meet the grim reaper.
Yeah, I'm about 11 years older than you, but I'm a runner and fitness nut, but I never need to shovel any snow, because I have no obstacles in the way that prevent me from doing it all with my Honda.
@@assmunch1 Good to hear you have taken control of your physical health. Men still need to be careful. The cold air and exertion is not a good combination even with good health. The other activity that is a dangerous past time for men in middle age is pick up hockey. I have seen more weekend warriors who try to relive their younger years of glory get the stabbing chest pain and attack. Again, it is the dangers of the cold air. I still have to shovel steps and patios. Oh yes, also a walk way for the dog to do her business in the back yard. It is these shoveling activities that are menacing.
@@abouttime5000 Yeah, I hear ya. I regularly see the bad news in the paper of people who are much younger than me. I just put in a new Hybrid water heater that weighs 300 lbs and got it into my cellar without a scratch on it and did it alone. Painted my entire house with staging and ladders and did logging around my property, taking down about 100 trees of all sizes. I can still beat some of the high school kids in running races, so I'm doing ok. :-) Haven't missed a day of working out in more than 52 years!
are those yeti foot prints at 1:05 ?
Its a good thing each county doesn't require a permit for this machine because you would need two.
One for the county it resides in and another for the county it dumps the snow in. You say it looks nice out but the rest of us who don't own
a beast like you have would disagree. Ps, when the snow sparkles you can eat it and get a buzz. Of course your high enough knowing you have the upper hand on nature.
Its simple...Its a HONDA they don't make much crap! Nice video!
+soaringtractor I see it doesn't have a joy control for the shoot. I bought a Cub 524SWE mainly for the price and I don't live in those heavy zones. If I did I would probably have a nicer one!
Be a lot different in windy conditions.
Is it self propelling and does it go up a steep hill.
Cool....People that know me, have heard me wish for more snow to snowblow more than once! :-) Have fun!
Dude built a shelter for the blower.
@@assmunch1 but it’s a very nice blower. It deserves better. Lol. Great thrower though.
4X4 Pickup + V-Plow
WOW!
Honda put some r&d into their snowblowers.... They are expensive, but they are no joke.... commercial grade... My HS624 won't top the trees, but it will get 1/2 way there and for my small residential driveway, that is more than enough.
My brother has the HS928, also an amazing machine. Have you ever considered doing the impeller modification? Even though Hondas throw very far and never clog, I may do it just for the heck of it to see how much further it will go. I'm talking about where you mount rubber pads to the impeller to completely close the gaps between the impeller and the housing, so that no snow gets left behind and it throws it much further and never clogs on any snowblower. There are a ton of videos about it on CZcams, and it makes a hell of a difference on regular snowblowers!
Nice machine! You can tell it’s been modified! You can hear the Impeller whizzing!
Thanks, but it is 100% stock. Someday I'd like to put the rubber paddles on the impeller to see if it is even better, but Honda tolerances are much closer than most snowblowers, so it is already awesome and never clogs!
assmunch1 WOW, The Impeller wizzing is identical to Machines that I installed a paddles on! Could have fooled me!
assmunch1
Here the wiz on this craftsman 522

Here is a Hemi Powered Lawnboy restored. Can hear the wizzing as well!
@@pattayperformance Have you, or do you know anyone who has installed them on a Honda? Just curious if it made a difference. I'm sure the difference wouldn't be as noticeable as it is on one that doesn't throw far to begin with, but I just wonder if it is worthwhile.
I got a brand new hss928. Its amazing!!
Cool! Does yours have the powered chute rotation etc, and the steering triggers, battery electric start, auto height adjustment? Mine is 2008, so I don't have any of that. All manual, but it is great anyway!
@@assmunch1 i dont have electric start cause i keep it in garage. Starts first pull. Chute is electric and i have triggers to steer
@@assmunch1 no i didn't take battery start since kept in garage. Starts on 1st pull. My 5 year can start it. And the chute is electric with a nice little joystick. Also have triggers to turn
Man that thing blows like Monica Lewinsky!
Honda blows away
Strangely, his neighboring town received 12 more inches of total snow fall.
😂
