Thanks for the positive words guys, I really appreciate it. Even though I knew in theory about how to armwrestle safely, I still did this because I am unexperienced in a competitive atmosphere. I think its a good idea for new pullers to not only watch this video, but also practice safe shoulder commitment in a ready-go scenario a lot before they try it in a match.
Richard I broke my left arm. It was a compound fracture and my bone literally popped out of my skin. The thing is though my left arm is stronger now than my right arm I feel like. So when Devon did say “you will come back stronger“ he was not lying. Just take it easy on recovery. Don’t do anything dumb. Let it heal up. I took longer than expected because I kept doing stupid stuff.
Devon was so calm and professional about it and told the kid everything is going to be alright and he come back better. That's why hes one of the best.
You could see him switch on his mentor mode just seconds after being in shock. I'm sure everyone was panicked at that moment and they needed someone mature and calm to step in. I also respect the team for not SHOWING the break just for cheap views. This was an excellent and informative video.
yeah if he's never broken his arm he's prob gonna be scared and the pain is disgusting, but devon's attitude makes it seem like it's no big deal and there's nothing to worry about. Prob helped him relax and not turn it into something it's not. A broken arm heals stronger than it was before :D
Thanks for the heads up! I watched a few Arm break videos and they're always looking where they want to be, but not where they should be. Away and towards the pad.
@@lorcan8484 The hypocrisy here is actually hilarious. Cameraman not showing the arm snapping is snowflake and pussy behaviour, meanwhile you claim to be a "man" and you don't need censoring. Then, in the same fucking statement, you censor the word pussy.

You could have played this for views, but instead, you're doing the right thing. Congrats. Hope the guy recovers stronger than ever.
That was really good of him. It's scary to have something like that happen, but to have someone looking you in the eye and helping your mind through it can mean a lot.

As a noob armwrestler with 1 Year experience. I always heard people say "look at your hand" but never really understood what they mean until now. thanks for the clear cut information guys-
Yeah also the simple rule of keeping your hand touching the peg. It’s for safety since it helps keep your body squared so less risk of letting your arm go outside your shoulder!
Damn hope he heals up soon! Just broke mine a couple months ago luckily got thru it so far without surgery and I'm just starting physical therapy. My advice to him is make sure to just rest and keep that arm as safe as possible so it can heal and not break the callus that will form and set yourself back. But you will be back stronger than ever Richard, goin thru it with ya brother stay safe heal up. 🙏💪
I think there is a lot to be said about bone conditioning, especially for new pullers who’s bones have never experience the forces of arm wrestling. Your body will actually strengthen bones that are worked more, and bones not used become weaker.
Exactly, arm wrestling puts stresses and force on parts of your arm that are rarely used in that manner, especially with the force of wrestling someone strong. I always go light with my friends because I don't want to hurt them and want them to get a good safe pump in. Just gotta be careful
@@michaelkent6304 Its both good and bad though. When you are a kid you can fall and not break your back and neck and head often. But you will smash that when older. Also due to reflections are reduced. But your bones are more versatile. Its why you should not train to rigid weightlifting when below 16 or 18. It can both be an advantage and detriment at once. Its grows better when younger and slower when older. Ive had my share of injuries and sitting out of place bones in both hands. I want my son to first train weights when fully grown and just do small increments until then. Its not always good the bones get more rigid. In very old people they get slightly too rigid and hence frail. Ahh love cats. I have a black one at home also hehe

Thought I'd watch the video to learn and try not to watch the inevitable, slow mo, close up,arm break footage. Turns out you guys are all class. Thanks
As a jiu-jitsu guy this makes a lot of sense. What doesn't make sense to me is how someone can do a King's Move and not have their arm break at the elbow.
The King's Move is actually an advanced move. It seems easy enough, but to do it properly without tearing your own ligaments takes a lot of practice. You usually see guys with years and years of experience, and sometimes tendon injuries, resort to that move. Mike Todd and Crazy George are the pioneers of the technique. It absolutely can shred your tendons or ligaments at the elbow if you don't know how to apply the proper leverage. The trick is to use the pad as a fulcrum against your tricep, not the elbow. Although you do see guys using their elbow as the fulcrum, but then the pressure is directly on the joint.
It’s a dangerous move yes. We call it the arm break position and try to avoid it in practise. Takes a lot of knowing what you’re doing and years of conditioning to pull off
@@maxxxmodelz4061I remember hearing that guys with connective tissue damage in the elbow are better at it, maybe I’m misremembering Something about the tightness of the joint after healing, maybe it’s bs
