    Thanks for the positive words guys, I really appreciate it.
    Even though I knew in theory about how to armwrestle safely, I still did this because I am unexperienced in a competitive atmosphere. I think its a good idea for new pullers to not only watch this video, but also practice safe shoulder commitment in a ready-go scenario a lot before they try it in a match.

      Richard I broke my left arm. It was a compound fracture and my bone literally popped out of my skin. The thing is though my left arm is stronger now than my right arm I feel like. So when Devon did say “you will come back stronger“ he was not lying. Just take it easy on recovery. Don’t do anything dumb. Let it heal up. I took longer than expected because I kept doing stupid stuff.

      @@michaelkent6304 Its both good and bad though. When you are a kid you can fall and not break your back and neck and head often. But you will smash that when older. Also due to reflections are reduced. But your bones are more versatile. Its why you should not train to rigid weightlifting when below 16 or 18. It can both be an advantage and detriment at once. Its grows better when younger and slower when older. Ive had my share of injuries and sitting out of place bones in both hands. I want my son to first train weights when fully grown and just do small increments until then. Its not always good the bones get more rigid. In very old people they get slightly too rigid and hence frail. Ahh love cats. I have a black one at home also hehe

    As a jiu-jitsu guy this makes a lot of sense. What doesn't make sense to me is how someone can do a King's Move and not have their arm break at the elbow.

    • @maxxxmodelz4061
      @maxxxmodelz4061 Před 2 lety +11

      The King's Move is actually an advanced move. It seems easy enough, but to do it properly without tearing your own ligaments takes a lot of practice. You usually see guys with years and years of experience, and sometimes tendon injuries, resort to that move. Mike Todd and Crazy George are the pioneers of the technique. It absolutely can shred your tendons or ligaments at the elbow if you don't know how to apply the proper leverage. The trick is to use the pad as a fulcrum against your tricep, not the elbow. Although you do see guys using their elbow as the fulcrum, but then the pressure is directly on the joint.

    • @AlrightThere
      @AlrightThere Před 2 lety

Imo you can’t live your life scared like that, bad stuff can always happen but if you follow precautions and when you spot someone else new making this mistake and warn them there really isn’t much to worry about. Hey broke the bone near his Elbow where the Ligament attaches to the bone. It was when he was 14yrs old.

    Wow that happened so fast. It looked as if his wrist bone was stressed to the max as soon as the match started. There wasn't enough time to stop the match or give him a warning about it. The Table Monkeys have always been great about helping people not break their arms !!

    I think it needs to be highlighted that it is the fault of the person who’s a breaks not the other person.
    Smart pulling is much
    More safe. It’s physics folks. Keep your arm as close to your course as possible.
    This is a great video and a must watch for new pullers

    compromised wrist, elbow extended forward, high hook vs shoulder commitment... You can see this happen before it happens, even the look on the crowd and Devon's face, you could feel it about to happen.

    I love Devon. He is the reason arm wrestling is getting so big. He may trash talk and sell the matches better than anyone but he really is a great dude and the best ambassador ever. I think he is starting to take over the GOAT status and will stand firmly next to John as the goat

    That sounded cringe, shew. Devon stepped up like a boss and calmed him down with a easy tone. How much does everyone love him for his leadership
