    You can see the transmission fluid coming from the front seal area behind the throw out bearing at 10:13. Go to the highest point of the leak. Transmission fluid will clean any dirt off do to the detergent.

      Thanks. The dyno video of our Chevelle's did really well at least.

    Interested to see what Macleod says about those markings. Not a bad time to get tearing into your project . Haha it’s like winter wonderland here in Calgary . Hopefully you can get a better clutch feel . Looking forward to the content. Also that engine hint 😁

    nice set up, i put a t56 in my 66. i used a rxt 6923-07 , whats the difference 6921-07 ? . i used tilton 60-6105 and malwood pedal set up. i have a soft pedal. under 2000rpm my clutch rattles around , does your set up make noise ? nice looking chevelle .

      The 6923-07 is the Street Twin and rated for 1000 hp and is what I want. My clutch rattles the same as yours. It's because there are no dampening springs in the clutch discs.

    hi, awesome videos. Any updates from Mcleod about those markings?

      They sent me a replacement, and it had the same markings. So they talked to their managers and apparently the markings are correct for the street twin (1000 hp) pressure plate. Even though they told me otherwise. As it turns out, ive had a street twin the entire time, though when I bought it I asked for the 1200 hp version. All in all, a giant waste of money to send it down for a rebuild.

    Does the RXT chutter? I’ve been hearing these solid hub twin disc clutches have noisy floater plate issues under 2000 rpm which isn’t ideal for the street. Thanks

      @SS454LS6  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Yeah they do. Around 1800-2000 rpm at certain loads you can hear the harmonics in the clutches. However steady cruising at those RPM's on the highway I do not hear anything.

      @@SS454LS6Thanks for the reply. Would you still recommend these solid hub clutches for the street? Wish I knew of a sprung hub twin disc to combat the chatter noise.

      @@onsturn Yea I would still recommend. My friend put a Tilton clutch in and apparently it doesn't make the noise. I do believe Mantec clutches have springs but are big bucks.
