Even though I was the lead the popular kid did that and everyone applauded and cheered his name during the performance. It wasn’t vibrato. He was actually just changing the notes like you said. “OoOoOOOoooOoOoooOOOOoo” I guess that’s middle school for ya.

I don’t know the full superstition but I do know that if you say the name of the Scottish play in the theatre or wherever your performing supposedly you’ll be cursed and have bad luck a lot of performers believe it including me because someone said the word opening night and our lead actress got a broken arm after the show when a set piece accidentally fell on her
It's bad to stay it in a theatre during production because it was common back in the day for theatres, that were doing bad financially, to do the Scottish Play during the fall season (because witches) as a last ditch effort to make enough money to keep the theatre open. Most of the time it didn't work and the theatre would close down. Because of this it became know that if a theatre was going to do that play they weren't doing well financially and it became that if you said the name of the play in a theatre they'll be cursed and won't do well financially.
