Take the gaskets out then that car is as easy as they come. Folding in tint (2 staging) is time consuming and has major chance to crease or be dirty.

you done that back glass like a champ! not bad once you get the bottom of the film edge over the head rest, but I'm amazed you maneuver the film into the back seat, period! I would have to do the reverse roll! I would be doing good to get me into the back lol

I thought it was just me!! I tinted a Chevy Cruze and it went smooth, when I went to tint my jetta it was a pain, itâs a 07 but still has those tight felt edges

Greatly appreciate all the videos, I am currently learning and practicing on a 2020 wrx, I get the windows perfect but keep runing into an issue with the top corner of the window when I roll it up, the tint slides and folds in the small pocket, I am unable to repair it once that happens, any tricks to help with this issue?
I tried one of these once. Sides turned out great somehow. The back window went about how youâd expect lol

So im still trying to learn a little bit before doing my first tint job, one of the videos you've shown was you rolled the front windshield tint before and unrolled it inside the car. Could you do that for the rear if it is a tight space like this jetta?
When you fold the tint and slide it into the seal, does the film protector not get in the way? Iâm aware I need to fold from under the line but the film protector, hanging off, makes it difficult to tuck into the seal. Is it something I just gotta deal with? Please advise.. love the videos

Hello, i have question about tinting the back window.. what will happen for the defrost line after removing the tint??
I messed up my truck lol. So much dust, but I go off roading often and I did it mainly to protect the interior, and me. $20 dollar role peals of clean, but fades within a year. Call it a seasonal tint haha. đ The glass is scratched so I don't feel like adding uber expensive tint.
A lot easier starting on smaller edge on left to tuck slide and bring large edge back to the right and push lightly on glass outwards will make tucking much easier! I also wrap paper towel around hard card to prevent scratches and absorb excess water on back glass! Just my two cents and 30+years

I was wondering if you still sold precut tint kits I'm wanting to try my hand at tinting my uncles truck it's a 1994 chevy silvarado half cab so only would need the two front door windows and back glass maybe a sunstrip for the windshield. I got new 20% ceramic 2mil flim all around and it isn't adhering on the rear dot matrix in a small spot. The installer told me to squeegee it out but it hasn't gone away. It's going to be very sunny and hot this week so I'm going to see if it goes away.
They probably over heated it with a heat gun in that one spot , causing it to not stick
Did you have to heat shrink the side windows? I know the rear will have to be shrunk

How would you go about a removal on back glass like that? I have a 2017 Elantra and the 3rd brake light is almost touching the glass. Im hoping i dont have to pull the whole rear deck, im gonna go slow and steady with the steamer and cross my fingers when i get to the bottomđ
Remove the deck. Removal would be a huge pain. I had an older Jetta that came from Texas. Super old baked on tint. We replaced the glass

Do you ever come across Superman Tint? Sometimes my film wonât move even if I put more baby soap. The glass looks like it is dry after spraying. Cars I have issues are 2023 Lexus UX and GX, both front windows.
Add dish soap, and/or remove the factory coating they come with. Lexus and Land rovers are notorious for having it.

I just tried tinting my car myself after watching your videos. I cut it in shape well, used soapy water, but I can't get it to move around enough to adjust it/put it in the seals. It just keeps sticking to the window and it just won't move. How do you keep it from sticking like this??
Edit: I tried 4 more times. Same issue. Please, anyone?
More soap in your mixture
Using soap (hand soap) and water to clean tinted windows is safe correct? Iâm sure itâs totally fine but I would like to double check before I start doing anything lol

VW... smh! How about those Golf Gti's that you have to remove the A-pillar panels and the sides of the dash to tint the triangle glass? You couldn't ever clean that triangle window even if you wanted too! German Engineering at it's finest...
