    Help!! How can I switch out my white cartridges to cleaning cartridges on EPSON SURE COLOR F2100 ?! I put the cleaning ones in and I get a chip error. I want to clean out my white ink since it’s not coming out !!

      Hi Miguel, That might be overkill. The rubber of the head cap might degrade overtime with too much cleaning.

    I have been turning the printer off everyday and I waisted so much of my white ink that it ran out quick. Called epson and had a long discussion. I was told to leave it on . I have been leaving it on for now 5 months and seen a huge difference in white ink saving. Compared to the amount it spits in everyday turning cycle.

      Thank you for the info and savings tips. Turning off the printer engages the pump cap cleaning, that cleaning is critical to keeping your printer healthy. I'd suggest turning it off at least once a week.

      I had a very similar experience and conversation with Epson. Super unhappy with the installation/delivery direction I was given at time of purchase. I was told to turn the printer off also and that seems to now have resulted in a clogged W1/W2 channel that I cannot recover. I'm going through all the possible solutions because I am NOT interested in a $2500 printhead replacement after less than two years.

      Unfortunately you were misinformed. Always turn the F2100 off when you are done so you initiate the head cap cleaning. That is a critical step in ensuring the suction cap stays clean.

    I'm totally newbie of F2100 so if any of you guys would answer that question I'll be so grateful ! My issue is auto cleaning not working on my printer anymore, so I just see the orange layout of calculator and I do not see any counting down. Is there any solution to fix it back ?

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  Před rokem

      Are you turning your printer off at the end of every shift? Always turn your printer off when you are done printing that initiates a cleaning cycle but should reset the counter. The counter is there to countdown an auto medium head cleaning every 6 hours.

      I replaced the suction cap and filter and roller to try and fix the problem but I still have it. I did several cleaning and it still won’t print white ink when I do the print test. What else can I do. It was working fine when I turned it off before the problem started. Please help.

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  Před 4 měsíci

      It's using the cleaning cartridge that's already in there. You don't need to remove or replace any cartridges unless they are empty.

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  Před 2 lety

      If your heads are clogged and you try and run cleanings, the printer will think it's using ink but the clogged heads will not let ink flow through so the carts will read empty but there is still ink in the carts. If you are experiencing this, you will need to work on clearing those clogged print heads or replacing the print head or pump cap assembly.

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  Před 2 lety +1

      Likely 3 & 4 are clogged, hard to say why. Best bet is to soak the print head and see if you can free the clogged nozzles. I haven't made a vid but there are a few on CZcams.

    My cyan is almost totally blank when I do a nozzle check and I've run a head cleaning on it a bunch of times and sometimes it looks like the cyan is mixing with the magenta. Can you please help me?

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  Před 2 lety +1

      Of all the colors, Cyan is most likely to clog. I suggest doing a nice thorough head cap cleaning, then soaking the print head in a bath of solution for a few hours then doing a heavy cleaning on the Cyan Magenta channel. To soak the head, go to maintenance > Clean around print head. Clean the print head then soak in a bath of solution for a few hours.

    Hello sir. I have an issue with my print. I dont know how to say it but to me it is something about registration with the white and color print. I can see small outline of whites in some edges of the print. How do I solve this issue? Thank you

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  Před 2 lety

      You can email me direct if my answer is not detailed enough. Jledrew@melco.com Ensure the shirt is holding fast on the platen. Generally white showing under color ink is an indicator the shirt has shifted from when white ink went down to when color goes over top. Imagine putting water on a paper towel, the towel moves and shifts, a similar thing happens when you put wet white ink on a shirt. Epson provides a platen hoop to help hold the shirt or you can use the provided non-slip pad. Other trick would be to reduce white area in GC to 3 or 4. This just chokes back the white underbase more.

      That could be your setting in Garment Creator, "Black Color T-Shirt Use Garment Black" That setting will not print black. If you want black use "Dark Color T-Shirt Standard"

    You said to always turn the printer off at the end of every night and turn it on the next day for the F 2100 what if you have AF 2000 that doesn't have a cleaning cartridge as with it cleaning cartridge s to do this maintenence automatically. There would be no use in turning the machine off because there is no maintenance um maintenance to be performed if there are no cleaning cartridges

    • @MelcoEmbroidery
      @MelcoEmbroidery  Před rokem

      That is correct, there is no reason to turn the printer off though it does not need to stay on. Just be sure you do your tube wash regularly, you cannot over do the tube washing on the F2000.
