1949 Chevy 3600 Truck for a General Contractor

- Is this a good idea? We don't know for sure, but we're rolling the dice on it! Introducing our new work truck for our business Berlin Homes. We're using it for advertising as well as going to meet with clients and do measures. I've wondered for a long time if using a classic truck for marketing would bring in more business than a newer white truck with our branding on it. Now we're set to find out!
This is a 1949 Chevrolet 3600 (which is the long bed 3/4 ton). It's been a dream of mine to have one of these since I was a little kid. My wife had one similar back in her high school days and we both are pretty excited about it (she's also a lot better at driving it than I am).
I don't remember ever being told that the starter was ever a button on the floor, but now I know. My stick shift driving has been a little sketchy as I've been getting into this. I need a whole lot more practice!
The hope is that this truck will stand out and get attention which will in turn get us more clients. The classic and standard thing to do in construction seems to be to drive a newer white truck with company logos on it. The problem I've noticed with that is they all just sort of blend in on the road and I wonder if anyone really pays attention to the marketing being done. However, whenever I've seen a classic truck driving down the street I've always wanted to take a look at it. If I ever found one in a parking lot I would go out of my way to either park near it or walk up to it to get a better look. So, why not drive one with all of my marketing to garner more natural attention for it?
The thought too was that this has a sort of ambiance about it (not sure if that is the best word choice, but roll with me on this). I want people to know that the finishing I do is high end and that we are not a fly by night kind of contractor. When people see something like this truck I think it screams quality to them and that we are a different kind of builder/general contractor, but in a good way.

Also, just in case you are looking for a good book series I thought I'd recommend my favorite! The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson is an incredible fantasy series spanning 15 books. It's a hum dinger of a read, but it was so much fun to discover! I feel like this book makes you have to go and tell other people about it, so, here's an innocent little link to the first three books of the series in case you want to read them!

Ah thank you! It's been a lot of fun! I haven't been driving it as much with the snow (I still need to put the windshield wipers on it!) so it's always fun when it's a clear day and I can take it out.
