    Thanks for the video. I watched it so many times before attempting a stereo replacement I had all the steps memorised and everything came apart easily. I guess a few people had been in there before, as half the screws were missing and several tabs snapped off. I found a useful image on one of the Jaguar Forums with the speaker and other stereo wire colours identified, which was a huge help as mine were connected pretty much all incorrectly.

    Thanks for the instructions on how to get it out and replace! I will say though that it looks like a lot to do on your phone while you’re trying to drive- unless you’re controlling everything from your phone on the dashboard radio. I may not know what I’m talking about.

      Thanks for your comment, in fact the app on phone is good to change tracks by tapping or the screen,I only use for that by driving. To manage the music and other settings I did use the apps also as it’s very intuitive, but honestly when it’s done and set, it’s all good, and I can say I didn’t touch since ! Cheers

    Hi when you took out the stereo panel was there enough room to fit a small amplifire in the cavity ?

    There’s a white wire that was plugged in next to your black CD player wire that was gone in your car but I have in my car, no sound from speakers with aftermarket radio, when I plug white wire back in the stick radio it’s fine? Any idea?

    Do you actually need the plastic braket that you bought? Or can you just put in radio without it

    • @psv1600
      @psv1600  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes you need it as the original radio is already surrounded by a bracket.

    Hi, a very informative video, many thanks. One question, maybe a dumb one, but does the electrical aerial still function as it should ? In other words go down when you turn the radio off and up when you switch it on ?? As I want to upgrade my 1995 X300 too.
