Here is my P3D V4.5 settings guide. I do hope this can help as many as possible imrpove their Flight Sim experience. Of course, this will not suit everyone, but I do believe a strong majority of people will benefit from using these settings or settings inspired from what I have shown.

Hello Cpt Vince, well I followed the instructions yesterday while fully up and running, ASCA, REX,Endir plus a plethora of addons, parked myself at G10 in Swedens Arlanda airport, ran a test from in the cockpit and outside before the changes, before 26-32 fps cockpit 30-38 outside, after changes went to 38-45 cockpit and 47-58 outside, and no real noticeable changes in looks. Great job!

Thanks for those informative settings. However, I doubt that those shadows in the captures at the beginning are with default prepar3d.cfg settings. Pretty sure you modded the opaque shadow and translucent shadow entries, could you shed some light on how you modified this? Did you do anything else in prepar3d.cfg? This is somehow missing in the vid...
If you want more dense scenery and you are using a pmdg plane or another complex aircraft alike, you can bring down the draw distance for autogen, and make everything extremely dense without a huge impact on fps.
Bon jour,I took your advice and I bought Asca,and toga products including sound I also got PTA and is awesome a must have with Adams Presets in PTA gives a good Shader it runs snooth 35-40 fps in FSX I always had a frame rate lag but in P3d runs smooth thanks for the video.
Finally
I can see lot of stuttering. If you adjust your FPS to the monitor refresh rates (make them compatible) or use G sync enabled if you have a G sync compatible monitor, then the experience would be smooth.
Captain great tutorial. however I'm new to P3D and believe me I been having so much issues with this. I can not figured out why I only getting 20 FPS I have a I9 9900k running in turbo mode and a rtx2080ti. as far as addons Active sky, sky force, global vector, Global BASE Pack, Global openLC North America, Global Trees HD and all the ORBX regions. what can I do ?

Hey Stewart! Thank you for the kind words. I usually get around 55-60 Celsius while heavy usage for the CPU.
Bro,you video helped me find my problem,I couldn't figure out why my GPU stayed at base clock and that is what you mentioned the 2 sliders on the graphic setting I set it to ultra and high,the shadows cast and receive I set it like you showed now my gpu runs at max clock in heavy airports like Fly Tampa Klas I get 25-30 fps with the milviz king air is a very system demanding aircraft.thanks

The shots at CYYZ and CYUL were around 40 - 50 fps.

Yes, I do recommend you use 4K textures if your PC can handle it. Also, with a 4K screen I recommend you lock your FPS to 30 with the procedure described in one of my previous videos.
So far I have never had any Contrails in my version V3.4. Which function do I have to activate in P3D, to get IVAO traffic contrails? ( Activate Special effects?)

Have all the settings exactly the same, but I'm running GTX 1080 and 7700k, with the same performance, I'm sure you could go even higher

YUK! This happens when you use chaseplane and have the HDR settings ON. My sim looked exactly like yours but i could not stand all the FAKE YELLOW in the scenery. You have far too much yellow there. To resolve this turn off HDR in chaseplane.

Wanted to add P3d looks more like World of warcraft cartoonie Graphics and xplane 11 looks more like google Sattellite but Xplane 11 is more for nvidia users once vulkan gets turned up and all addons working I'll be definitely something to go back to.

My friend, at your video and screenshots ı think you don't use msaa, I doubt that you use at least 4x ssaa anti alisiang. ;)

Why you no longer locked your fps on 30?
Because I am no longer on a 4K screen and don’t feel the need for now. I might do it again to avoid topping my GPU power usage.

64gb is overkill. probably a waste of money unless you will be doing heavy workload tasks like video editing and processing, photo editing etc. But hey, if youve got the cash, go for it man. Also, you should be able to run pretty much any combination in p3d at high fps with a rig like that.
Hate the music. Reminds me too much of those hipster Casey Neistat-style hippy travel vlogs. But obviously you can't keep everyone happy. Great video for the rest.
