- Italiaanse muziek van Girolamo Frescobaldi ( 1583-1643) klinkt geweldig op het orgel hier in Oosthuizen. De stijl zit tussen Renaissance en vroeg barok in. Behalve op orgel klinkt deze muziek ook heel goed op klavecimbel. Deze Capriccio past precies op de kleine klavieromvang van Oosthuizen: De muziek gaat niet lager dan F en niet hoger dan a2. De registers gaan op dit instrument anders dan gebruikelijk: Een register moet worden ingeduwd om ingeschakeld te worden. Op dit orgel te gast mogen zijn en dan deze muziek te spelen geeft mij een grote voldoening! Italian music from Girolamo Frescobaldi (1583-1643) sounds wonderful on the Oosthuizen organ. The musicstyle is just in between Renaicance and early barock. Apart from the organ, this music sounds also great on the harpsichord. This Capriccio fits exact on the limited compass of the Oosthuizen organ. From F to a2. The stops on this instrument works opposit: Push a stop in order to open it. It gives me always pleasure to be gast on this beatiful instrument and to play such wonderful music. Such a short compass keyboard.
None of the no-classical organs I service have a compelling tone as the old organs. They are either shrill or bland. Yes, a few have non equal temperaments, but nothing sings. Of course most of their musicians rarely play on anything but large registrations.
