I'm a copic girl trying to learn how to use my skills with pencils.....ahhhh Not as easy as you guys make it look lol. Your videos have helped my coloured pages look sooooo much better. Love the tips, the look throughs, well all the content that you share with us, Really really appreciate all your work. I brought the spider set of black widows to try and I loved them. I treated myself to a 36 set of prisma premier and 36 set polychromos......they are all amazing, but I'm leaning towards the polys maybe because of using copics for so long. Inever used them in colouring books....wsy too expensive, hence the switch to pencils, so tysmfs
I bought the Monarchs, tried them , and now am waiting for the other 3 sets to arrive in 4 days. They are just lovely, second only to my Prismas!. I am thououghly impressed.

I just bought the Monarch pencils....and I LOVE them!! I now have all the Black Widow pencils including the skin pencils...i love them ALL!!

I have all the black widow sets except for the skin tones, I absolutely love them! they are my go to pencils aside from my Prismacolor pencils!! I have just found your channel and absolutely loving it! I just got my pencils yesterday and I love them. I have been playing with the blending and trying them in different books!! Thanks for using these in this video.
I am so glad you love them. You'll have to let me know which books you've used them in so far. How are they blending on the different papers? I tried them out in my unboxing video where I did a blending test on paper that could be used for PDF coloring books and they blended beautifully. I have not tried them in all coloring books yet though. I need to try them out in a Kerby Rosanes book. I know they would go down wonderfully on that paper.

I have all the black widow pencils and I love them so much! I love watching other people using them. It helps me get ideas for color combinations! I would love it if when you color with prismas, if you could give us an idea of comparable BW pencils! That would be amazing! Thank you so so much!
I am so glad you're enjoying my videos. I love coloring just to give others ideas of combinations. I need to try some very "off colors" and blending with the Black Widow pencils, but haven't gotten that daring with them yet. Maybe in my next video after I try them out off camera. I could compare some of the BW pencil colors to some of the Black Widows. Maybe I can do a video where I show a color combination and then give you the matching pencils in Prismas. Great idea! I always make a running list of suggested videos so just keep watching my channel.

I have the Caran d'ache luminance and my first pencils I bought as a coloriste where Lyra Rembrandt polycolor pencils, they are awesome and I love the Luminance 👌👌👌👍👍👍😍😍😍

I’m so glad you’re enjoying these videos. In previous videos I’ve done tutorials and color alongs with Prismacolor so you can go back on my channel to find those. I’ve also done one with Pablo pencils. I can do Polychromos as well. I use a lot of different pencils. Thank you for watching.

I have my monarch set plus the skin pencils light and dark. Plus I have three more black willow sets.
I did buy these right away as my first Black Widow set & love them! I was attracted to all the pastel shades. Now I need the rest of the sets lol! I like my Prismas but not sure they are worthy of all the hype given to them. A video mixing the 2 sets would be great.

I love 50% of the Monarch set. I don’t care much for the pinks, reds and oranges, but the greens, blues and purples are to die for. Honestly, the only reason I bought Black Widow sets is because of the purples, greens and blues. I have 72 set of Prismacolors + like 35 that I got that were sold separately. Although I love the blues from Prismacolors, the selection of greens and purples is severely lacking. The only dark purple I can name from Prismacolors is Dioxazine Purple Hue and it comes from 150 set or it cost two dollars separately plus $7-$15 shipping.

Have you tried the Derwent Lightfast.? I bought a set of 24 but I am quite impressed and am going to add to them from singles at the art shop, I think there are 100: so it might take a while. They are similar to the Luminance I think, some say one are wax and the other oil. I just finished completing the Derwent Artist, I had the 72 and made up the 100 from singles. They are a harder pencil but I got used to them and quite love them now. I love what you are doing with the Black Widows such pretty colours for flowers. I think they are really the best flower and animals, I got all sets then got a second set of most of them.

Hi I collected the Irogiten dictionary sets along with Tombow recycled wooden pencils . I have complete collection syndrome and would love to add the new 10 TomBow Irogiten colors they have out now . Before that I like to learn some tips and tricks for the hard leads and of course love to see what you would mix and match . They are a beautiful looking set and feel real weighted in hand . Sturdy .I know quite a few folks have them but I don’t seem to come across them in videos much . Do you have them already ? Pastels are gorgeous and the dictionary sets are beautiful together but I like unique colors you come up with

Do you mean which set of the Black Widow pencils have the most reds in them? If you are just starting out and have none, I would probably start with the very first set that was released. amzn.to/3dRPgiY

@@PamelasPassionforPencils I have the three sets, but had to stop before the skin colors. Now the postage and customs to us cost more than the pencils themselves, so it is double what you would pay. Just no longer worth it sadly. I'm in South Africa. I can order form Amazon, just can't afford to pay the prices with postage and import.
@@LizatHome Aww! I'm so sorry to hear that. There are some pencil sets that I want that are difficult for me to get in the US. I don't want to spend the shipping that it costs...same with coloring books, especially Hanna Karlzons new one. I can't seem to get it even though it was supposed to be available to us last week. It still says it would be 1 - 2 months to ship to me.
@@PamelasPassionforPencils I think this whole Covid thing, besides all the obvious sadness, death and suffering that it has brought, has changed things that we took for granted quite a bit as well. I am sorry that you're struggling with the Hanna Karlzon book. I was surprised to see it in our shop the other day, and not too expensive. Very unusual.

Why do you use a white pencil for blending than a prisma colour blender pencil? I love your videos as they are so helpful.
How long did the monarch pencils came out?
Someone said that they are coming out with new 124 pencil set sometime this year or so. Is that true?
I’ve not heard there is a new 124 set at all. I can ask Albert though. I’m not sure how true that is. Adding in the Monarch pencils with the other sets available gives you 144 pencils. That’s a lot of pencils. They just recently came out in the US.

Are the cores in these centered?
I'm putting some of these pencils on my wishlist to try. I'm disgusted with my Prismacolors. The cores in too many of them are not centered making them frustrating to sharpen. I always have to whittle the woody side down with a utility knife.
The cites on my sets are centered and they sharpen nicely. I know a lot of people have issues with Prismacolor quality control, but I still love mine and they’ll always be my favorite. These Black Widows have always been a close second in a wax based pencil.
Is there any particular sharpener that works well with these pencils?

I assume you mean lightfast? I don't believe they are.
