This flower came out so pretty. I didn't realize Stickles came in the squeeze bottle. I brought the small round ones a week ago, but I just bought some of the squeeze bottles. Great art tutorial🤗

I don't have any of the ones in the small jars. I want to get some of those too to see the difference between them. I love my Stickles!

I have a new obsession with Orange hues this summer so I really like the flower you colored with those tones.
    Thanks for todays "Orange Inspiration"...lol..
Love the Orange Sorbet color of Stickles...going off to see if I have that color.

You are so welcome! I am loving the oranges and reds too. It's a change from what I have been doing on flowers recently. I have been going with pinks, blues, and purples. It was a nice change for me to not add yellow in with a red combination.

I am learning so much here! I used to colour flowers and leaves with one colour, not thinking about blending or layering different shades and colours. My older coloured pages look so boring😒. Thanks to your tutorials (and so many others on CZcams) my colouring has vastly improved🙂

I’ve never thought of not colouring in the lines ( I have autism and ocd ) so will definitely be trying that
I would love to see how you colour in the flower to the right of the blue one

So pretty! Would love to see how to use more pencils in colour combos!! Love stickles, they are pretty good, I've had some for ....4 or 5 years, havent dried up yet! Thank you for all you do

Luckily, none of mine are dried up either other than some of them that were gifted to me and shipped after already having been used. That may contribute to why they were dried up a bit. All of the ones I have purchased are sill working wonderfully. I will definitely do more of these videos in the future. Happy Coloring!

  • @heathers_colorpalooza8789

Great video Pamela. I’d really LOVE and appreciate seeing a video that showed some ideas for coloring the many many many leaves that are in the early Johanna Basford books. There is so much foliage in her books and all my leaves come out looking basically just alike because I only know the most basic two color dark at the base to lighter at the tip faded blend. Please any ideas or suggestions for how I can change them up and add a bit of differentiation and interest would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Thank you so much for this video. This is super helpful. Im probably the one and only colorist or person who doesn't enjoy coloring Johanna Basford and milli marottas books. I absolutely love their work and think it's gorgeous but its just not my jam and this video kind of made me realize that maybe it's because I was so worried about all of the little lines and pieces so I was getting frustrated with my work not looking the way I wanted. I was able to get better results with other books just not these. For myself and I'm sure as pretty much everyone else that johanna and Millies was one of the first or almost the first book that we purchased. I haven't touched those books since I orginally began coloring ( maybe 3 years ago( i just began coloring agian the past month or so)) I actually still have the plastic wrap on Enchanted forest! So thank you again for putting the time into these videos. Have a wonderful night!

Hi Danielle! I completely understand. You definitely don't need to let those lines of the artwork make you feel like you should stay inside of them. That's the whole reason I made this video. You're not the only one that feels that way and thinks that's what they're there for. That is Johanna's beautiful art style, but we all have our own coloring style and our job is to bring color to her beautiful artwork without feeling limited. Just add color and act like the lines aren't there. I am sure you will come to love her artwork so much more. Her books are my favorites, especially World of Flowers. Happy Coloring!

Johanna in one of her books I bought recently said absolutely do not worry about going over the lines. Do what look good to you. I was stuck on highlights. I’ve decided to forget about highlights just now and work on shading

Oh I have so many of those. This was very different for me. I usually use more colors. I made this video to show everyone that you can create something beautiful with just three colors. You can search my channel for videos on leaves or flowers and find many with more than just three colors. I would be glad to do another flower with more colors. Happy Coloring!

No they don't. They are wonderful. I have used them in books printed by Amazon and some I've printed onto PDFs using the Springhill paper, as well as Johanna Basford books. I have never had an issue.

I was wondering how you got that glitter effect on the blue flowers, now I know. I have another brand called Glitter glue. Would that work? Haha, just heard you say not to close your colouring book when you have used the Stickles😄
