Big Z cared about the fans and caref about winning. He called guys out and even apologized to fans for their bad play. There is a toxic culture in the Flames dressing room.

Ship em out. we can’t do a “rebuild” but we can absolutely do a retool. I get that Huberdeau sucks but taking 2-3 years off in total to get some draft picks, clear up cap space and bring in some top talents would help this team.
Pelletier, Coronato, Zary, Pospisil, Wolf are the biggest reasons we need to do it. We also got Poirier as well.
Just do it now. We’d be way better off in the long term

Note that hubie us a great tole model but I think Kadri and him could really help our young guys....trade off mangi, hanging, Lindi, etc and retool for 2 to 3 years down the road...to be fair to the players too, they all might need new teams to raise their levels....

I’m all for being loyal to players who are your heart and soul, but in all honesty there has been too much loyalty shown to too many players who don’t deserve, for far too long. I wish Rhett had some say in what happens to this team.

I mean, when you think about how many top players have wanted out of Calgary you have to start to wonder just how high up the issues go. The problem was supposed to be Sutter but it clearly wasn't. The culture needs a full reset. What I know as a Panther fan is that it took new owners who specifically wanted to change the culture for things to change.

The Peg City Hockey CZcams man has made claims about the locker-room culture of the Winnipeg Jets. Just hours after the loss of game 5 of the April Jets-Golden Knights' series Jets' head coach Rick Bowness claimed the Jets had "had no pushback." The Jets certainly had limited pushback, with 3 of 4 losses in that series having been by 2 or more goals (the only loss that hadn't been having been a double-OT loss of game 3 of said series). TBD will be whether the Jets will continue remaining in 3rd in the Central with no divisional rival, bar the Wild, having played more games.

Ya and they fired the person that brought that. You play for the crest and the fans. This is the Sutter Curse, It just shows how great Sutter was he got 93pts and a Chicago loss that PLAYERS botched, they knew if they made the playoffs under Sutter that would secure his job. What upsets me is that Sutter was brought in to stop the insane to run the asylum but 2 half years later gets fired. Sutter had two things he stood by, the crest that the players put on and the fans and that's what you play for and that's Flames hockey. The Sutter Curse!

The organization needs to just pull the trigger on a rebuild. Huberdeau is supposed to be our star player and he's just awful, you can blame the system all you want, but when you watch him on the ice he's just bad. The Flames have lost too much to try and "find the right piece", to make them contenders. For me losing Toffoli was the final nail in the coffin. I was hoping old man Sutter was the issue, but clearly he wasn't.

Analytics have taken the game out of the game, to much system of if x than y, there is no play, no flow, no creativity and no fun on the ice, it's all preprogrammed robotics which is slow, behind the play and too much thinking. Doesn't matter who is behind the bench, the issues exist further up the chain and until the analytics are used to support the play and not dictate the play nothing is going to change.
