Just a comment on likes and dislikes. I like most people today when we would like to learn about something today turn to youtube. I learned to change my truck brakes, replace the axels and many more things. No matter how good the video and the fact people are taking their time in most cases to freely help other people, still there are always about 5 to 10 total idiots clicking dislike. Probably no big thing but still WHY? I am about to purchase 4 inner tube for my wife and my bikes that have been sitting in storage 20 years. we decided to get them out fix them up and get back to riding. I am not a knowledgable bike person like many and when purchasing the tubes on Amazon the options came up for Schrader valve and Presta Valve. Never knew there was anything other than what I now know of as a Schrader valve. still I wanted to know. I went on Google. Saw this site. The video was pleasant. concise and to the point. Thank you for your time and help. And you 7 idiots disliking this video. WTF? Why what could possibly have been better? Music or something? People like you have really gotten under my skin and I wish you would go way and leave kind people like this alone! Thats all I have to say. Sorry if I bother anyone else posting this and at yor request will remove it, But I just had it!!
i just got my first road bike and its my first time using presta valve. its different but i like it. i just wish the guys at the bike shop explained how to use them before i left. Needless to say i figured it out. i really like them now. i just wish it can be summer already. cheers
Glad to help! You can either buy a presta to schrader adapter for about $1...they work in a pinch, but are kind of a pain to use all the time. But fear not, just about every bicycle specific pump in your local shop will be compatible with both valves without any adapters.
Did you see all of the maneuvers that Presta valve requires? I watched Chrissy Wellington "World Class Triathlon Women's Competitor" have a lead in a race nearly destroyed due to a pump and that presta valve (so pros will sometimes struggle with these pumps and valves). My pump has the Presta valve, Basketball adapter plus the normal Schrader valve...I have cut the valve with the pump on the inner tube from applying the wrong technique on the Schrader valve...and the thing is it is quite difficult to figure out the proper use of the pump without being instructed...and I can be pretty technical minded (I mean I just assembled a bike, built other difficult stuff). That is why people like her create these videos to help people.
The "hold higher air pressure" line is absolutely incorrect. Schraders can hold hundreds of pounds of pressure. Planes land on them. Rigs drive on them. The only reason for a Presta is the thinness and length of the stem. It's now been proven that thin wheels are actually slower than wider ones, so the only real reason for a Presta is if you're running deep dish wheels. Outside of that, it's an inferior design in every respect.
:D I can't think of a single thing that was done right in this video - the uneasy, cringy host, the ridiculously out-of-focus camera and the editing (why show the host at all if it obviously doesn't work). But I must say I love all of it and if you make an all-night movie I'd love to watch it. Haven't had so much fun in a while!
What a strange comment. Decent video, a bit amateur, but unlike a lot of pro stuff you got right to the point and your explanations were clear. A touch of history and origins would add, but not needed

Amen! Thank you for taking the time that you didn't have to, to teach me things I am ignorant in. It's awesome.
+Mark Schuster I think that it's out of focus. It's hard to see what she's talking about.

That is a beautiful wood grain on the table behind the valve. Just wish I could see the valve as well as I see the bench.
I used an old pair of 3D glasses to view the video and it became crystal clear. You've got to improvise.
🤣

was it too hard to redo the video so its in focus?
May God bless this woman.
I have owned one of these pumps for maybe 7 years...didn't come with instructions on how to use the 2 valves.

Interesting stuff. Can it be true? Don’t see why not

Thanks for this information
Dont you have the normal bike valves in the US??
Thank you so much
thank you very much!
Thank you!
You didn't unscrew the valve all the way before putting the adaptor on. No air could get in.
thanks!
thank you!

I got a bike specific pump for both types, that can do up to 70 psi and it only cost 3$
+The Religion Killer link please
+Daniel Sultana i didn't buy it online...that's the price equivalent in my country and i imagine it would cost differently elsewhere.
+Kelly SoCal this guy? www.ebay.com/itm/181256692808
+Kelly SoCal btw you can post links
+Kelly SoCal May the all powerful lord Google be blessful and liberate your account from such a harsh fate. Else thanks for the recommendation!!!
The triumphant uplifting music makes this video seem much more important than it really is.
NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS HELP TO PULL VALVE OUT
so basically the presta valves hold the higher air pressure
they break easy as well, I don't like em.
yehh not good for mtb cos u run low pressure sounds like the only benefits to them go for road bikes...
video is not clear, and I was looking for information on how these valves works
I think I need eyeglasses
Schrader
Very nice, pretty lady. I sure would like to go bike riding with you one day.
Mmm, vocal fry!
blurry video is blurry :L
downvote for not knowing how to focus camera
Uhhhm, how bout telling us something that will actually help, like the pros and cons between the two?
This video looks like it was taken on a potato.
this is one hot chick!
