  • Avoidance of additional CO2 emissions and utilization of CO2 already produced are an integral part of our project portfolio. Here is an overview:

Biodiesel is already being blended with diesel gasoline and heating oil. The use of microstructured reactors opens up new avenues here. Replacing fossil fuels, for example, can cut CO2 emissions by up to 70 percent.

Hydrogen is seen as a beacon of hope when it comes to cutting CO2 emissions. Generating the hydrogen on demand from ammonia is a valid way in certain cases, despite the toxicity of ammonia.

Learning from nature: we are engaged in the development of an engineered system that mimics the natural ability of plants to use CO2 to build carbon compounds.

Energy from renewable sources in many cases needs a means of intermediate storage. We are looking at converting CO2 from biogas plants, for example, into methane.
