- Mont-Saint-Michel's Secrets: • The Ancient Fortress: ...
Nestled in the Jordanian desert, Petra is regarded as the 8th wonder of the world. Forgotten for centuries, this city was erected 2000 years ago by Nabataeans, a people of Arab merchants. It was rediscovered during the 20th century by a Swiss explorer. Even today, scientists are still fascinated by its monumental facades carved into the rock and its unique hydraulic system. Using the latest technology, experts can go beyond what the eye can see, and are on a mission to unravel Petra’s mysteries.

of course💘thanks for watching
The man who took all the pics & put it so we could see how the buildings looked & the water pipes, is very awesome!! I wish we could go back in time just for a day to see how everything was.🌻
Very fascinating, its amazing how it has stood the test of time..
Nice documentary. I enjoy watching 💯👏 but nabataeans didn't build it. It was much older probably in the old world before the great flood. They just found it's ruins and develop it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦♀️
@@rachelkristine4669 For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Small minds will laugh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤦
You must be an earlier archaeologist who found that ruin or do you have records that prove what you have said??
it's part of the rock it's not on the rock. It is the rock there's no real weight to it. everything is supported by itself
It's Melted and Petrified .

if you take a rock and you drill a hole through it it's not going to collapse the hole.. No matter where you put the hole in the rock
👌👌👌👌
2000 years from now, I wonder if that waste of space CN Tower will hold up the test of time and what will the future generations say about it? 😂
Subhana Allah
Wood is easy to carve before it petrifies

Petra, the true Mecca.
Why would nomads do such things? It makes no sense at all. They probably stumbled upon the ruins and then occupied them.
Some say the nabataeans were arameans not arab
"rediscovered by a Swiss explorer".... Funny there were people of the desert living there. Then later the government kicked them out because of tourism and didn't build all the new homes they promised. 🤔😠
It's funny how some westerners "re discovers" ancient lands and structures when locals have been living in the midst for centuries
none of today's architectural "masterpieces" will live even 150 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nabataeans didn't build it nor they have the knowledge to do so. Petra is an ancient structure build in the old world before the great flood and later civilizations like the nabataeans just found its ruins and develop it.

@@carteunu467 I already know that. I did alot of research about this. I do believe some part of it's geopolymer but not all. The stone cutting alone plus other complications too many to write here and the age of Petra shows it much older than nabataeans. There's an advanced civilizations of hybrids giants from bible and other evidence. They built those megalithic stone structures around the world.
..a strong late Greek influence, probably not built by nomads
Are nabateans arabs
fake history and disinfo right here. Nomads?
It is amazing to me, how ALL the "archeologists" sing the same "song" which has been drilled into their minds .... that "it is ALL 'carved' by man's hands".
I have been in Petra and all I can see is Melted city with a "fervent heat" everywhere.
Most of the city has been "melted" beyond recognition, yet the marvels of the 'architecture' still standing are the "pockets of survival" of what it once went through incredible "fervent heat" cataclysm.
The city of Petra was "melted" like a candle wax.
No-one "carved" anything - with hands in the city of Petra. It is extremely crazy to even entertain this Phony narrative.
This is what "they" don't want us to see. A worldwide Cataclysm of "fervent heat" . Arizona's "Grand canyon" - Utah - Saudi Arabia - Egypt... and I can go on and on. Same thing. Only in Petra in Jordan we still see more of "pockets of survival" of once previous civilization, which was completely obliterated by this horrific cataclysm.
What`s amazing to me is someone thinking they know better than Scientists having spent a lifetime to study the place.
This sounds incredibly "bonkers"... Sorry
You are short minded Diana
Dana you are right.

I love get.factual however, the AI voice used for commentary is really bad. I understand it costs money to pay people to read scripts but the AI voice is pretty bad with horrible pronunciation of basic words and vowels.
Its really AI?
Narrator is Lemmy Constantine, born in 1957 in France.
Not AI... narrated by someone whose first language is not English. Simply a charming accent. 🙄 Let me guess... commenter is a fellow American 🙄
The curse of modern TV presentations of historical subjects... 15 minutes of material packed in 50 minutes show. Constant movement of camera, over dramatic music and annoying voice over.
You got it.. lots of smoke and mirrors
Built by men, not women.
