      @@captaintoet1983 Yeah I understand but idk. It just feels so rushed to me like, I actually hate it. This movie should've been a spectacle.
      I love the first DS movie and I wish they kept the original director cuz Sam Raimi's take and approach just doesn't do it for me. And Elfman too smh, he seems to be stuck in the 90s and 2000s or something. The soundtrack should've been something to elevate this movie but God do I hate it.
      And the Illuminati? How they were used and discarded is disrespectful to say the least. I can't begin to list the problems I have with this movie lol. In the past couple of years Marvel have really dropped the ball, Phase 4 has been below par and these movies are just money grabs, fan service with characters we love who just show up to drop lines to get the fans to cheer and then meh.
      It's the same problem I have with NWH, that was all just nostalgia and pulling in fans from different corners which is a smart business move in Hollywood especially with a shared Universe but I miss the days were they actually told really good stories with tight, amazing scripts and fight scenes, beautiful CGI work that feels real and fresh rather than rushed and wonky.
      MoM of NWH are definitely bad movies in my book. The story moves too fast and it feels like they're setting up for something big that's about to go down and then nope, but here's the next big thing. Im not surprised NWH made that huge amount of money though cuz yeah obviously. But MoM should've hit a billion easy.

    Elisabeth Olsen was on fire in this movie, I was a bit surprised though that they went full villain with her instead of having something else turn out to be the big bad. Im still wondering then what Agatha was referring too when she said Wanda didn't know what she had done.

    • @carterpitbull7366

    • @TheLAGopher
      @TheLAGopher Před 2 lety +12

      Another line of dialog could have helped explain Wanda's heel turn. I was thinking that since the multiverse was now a thing, perhaps Wanda
      regarded killing people as really being of no consequence since there were infinite varients of everyone across the multiverse.
      It kind of reminds me of the DC animated universe Justice League Crisis on Two Earths where Owl Man seeks to destroy the multiverse since
      he believes nothing else is of any consequence since any decision in one universe that effects a persons life path,has a different decision
      that results in a different fate in another universe. He therefore believed that no decision aside from ending all existence mattered.
      Wanda could have looked at things in a similar manner. I can kill as many people as I need to get what I want and it doesn't matter because
      an infinite amount of alternate versions of her victims exist elsewhere in the multiverse.

    • @tlahmed
      @tlahmed Před 2 lety +23

      Agreed, that is my only true criticism of the movie. I’m so used to Marvel movies being over 2 hours, and I think it’s for good reason. Otherwise I loved it.

    I really love how Sam Raimi was ultimately the one who ended up directing this film. Not to mention how he incorporated his horror creativity with Wanda to only make her more terrifying and not just an all-powerful being. Wasn't the perfect film but it surely is a fun memorable one that really felt like a breath of fresh air for the MCU. I hope the MCU incorporates more darker tones and horrific scenes like this film... as long as they don't undermine them with the typical MCU jokes and comedy. I think him fixing the watch face was meant to symbolize him finally setting that part of his life (Christine) aside. Like she's married now and happy with someone else, and he sort of got his closure with other universe Christine so that chapter in his life is over. It's similar to like when you finally throw out that box of all of your ex's things leftover at your place. I think that neatly wraps it up in order for Clea to come in as the real love interest.
    Also, I didn't think about this until this video, but I would love to see them do to Doctor Strange what they did for Iron Man in the first saga of movies. Now we have almost a blank slate version of Doctor Strange who isn't the Sorcerer Supreme, who doesn't have a love interest, and still might have a little growing to do as a person. Would be neat if they could make him the next Iron Man, so to speak.

      And yet I know people who revel in their fetish-like dislike of Tony Stark, and claim everything in the MCU is the fault of Tony Stark and Dr. Strange, while Wanda is blame-less. It's even more disturbing because a) in the comics, Hank Pym was responsible for Ultron, 2) MCU Tony Stark never intended to create evil Ultron, he wanted to create "a shield against Thanos", a guardian, which he in fact managed on the 2nd attempt when he created Vision;
      3) Ultron only came to be because of Hydra's computer virus that Hydra had hidden inside the code in the Mind Stone in the Chitauri sceptre, and
      4) if Sokovian Wanda had not messed with Tony Stark's mind by planting horrifying visions of Thanos murdering everyone into his mind, Tony would not have been so hasty in his decision "We must create this A.I. NOW NOW NOW, no time to wait!", he would have listened to Bruce Banner and taken it slowly and would've noticed the virus code.

      Remember Vision was only created because Tony was the one building Ultron because he feared what might happened coz of the aliens. But the people in this univers was more technologically adept and not driven by fear. Either they were better at coding ultron or Tony didn't made ultron but instead it was the scientist in the Illumi that made the robots. Thus having no reason for Vision to exist in this universe.

Same with the tired old plot device now nicknamed "The Worf Effect": new character is introduced by singlehandedly beating an established badass character (i.e. Worf) to show how cool New Guy is... but if you keep doing that all you've accomplished is destroying the established character's reputation forever.

And when he returns the only one who was remorseful was Professor X (hence him being the 'good' one in the film). That's also why the rest are assholes. They don't do anything to help Black Bolt - Reed Richards actually outs his abilities to Wanda, so she just nullifies his abilities. And then they just watch him die. Reed panics and it gets him killed, whilst Carter and CM just watch him die. Then CM and Carter don't even work together, they just attack at the same time. No team work.

    The Darkhold was destroyed in every universe(multi) which causes an incursion in of itself. They used the vashanti in 838 to defeat thanos but time travel physically could affect the vashanti being created as its the darkholds antithesis. Its interesting to think that dreamwalking isnt a small form of an incursion in of itself. But even tnough it looks good when wanda destroys the darkholds spellbook for it to be never opened or read on every universe it created an imbalance with the book of vashanti.
    To think of it, the book of vashanti was only destroyed in 838? Or is the waypoint defender strange created between all multiverse? Because if there's a dark hold in every "numbered universe" there's a vashanti. Its just weird to think that the vashanti was so little of use in of its concept. But. In 616 during the secret wars if my thinking is overlooked about the waypoint being between time and space of universes, then the vashanti in of itself would be incursion of imbalance on Wandas part, destroying the book in every reality. Rather right or wrong its just a theory. A thought so to say, 'possibility.'

    I think they missed out on a few key adventures. E.g the second time scarlet witch took over her body they could have given us a 2min fight scene with both fighting in her mind. Also iron man. They should have had an iron man in the movie. Not RDJ but someone else, either Jeremy Renner (mcu Hawk eye guy) because he makes his own Arrow tech so in some other universe he's a lot more in high tech or Andrew Garfield because (in his spiderman universe) he and his dad wasn't just scientist, they were more than just scientist good with creating high tech etc and his dad could have taken over Oscorp So they missed that out. Also I think instead of Bolt they should have had Wolverine as one of the members as he is so old with wisdom or knowledge and doesn't age or add Wolverine there accompanying professor X like scott summer use too. To show the regeneration of mutants to scarlet witch when she tried to kill Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) he constantly regenerate and scarlet would turn her head and say "interesting". Given her idea to use her power to create mutants in the mcu. Or something along those lines. So I think they missed out on a few good points here.

    Like for example, why on Earth is 838 so beautiful?
    At first I thought maybe it was bc they had never succeeded in bringing all of the ppl Thanos snapped back, so maybe nature was doing much better and everyone left was embracing taking care of the Earth? But then they talked about defeating Thanos, so it doesn’t seem like that’s why I looked so gorgeous (I mean, unless they defeated him after he snapped away half of everyone, and bc of the different hero’s on the team, the snap just took place on Titan and not Earth?).
    Anyway, my point was just that I am super curious about all of the info that exists on each of those universes lol and if you happen to I know any more about them and why they are the way they are (and more about America’s pocket home dimension), I would LOVE to see a video about it! Unfortunately, Ironman had to die in the 616 universe. I think Kang planned it that way. Tony Stark created the original, "crude" way to travel through time. They had to use Pym particles to make this work properly. If Tony Stark had survived then Kang knew that Tony Stark would continue to work to perfect this, which is what Kang's variant eventually did. Had Tony Stark continued to work at traveling through time, Kang wouldn't had had the opportunity to do what he eventually did and end up controlling the timeline. So with Tony Stark dead, the tech would stall long enough for Kang's variant to master it.

      Yeah the movie was great to watch Ive
      seen it 2 times now and enjoyed it both times but its very hard to overlook the obvious issues it had.
      Id say the crucial issues it had was trying to use a focal point relevant to the main mcu universe (616 now?) That focal point being Thanos. In a movie thats centered on an infinite multiverse not every universe has to have a Thanos moment. Because of that and the fast paced flow of the film, it leads to the viewer having lots of speculation as to what else happened off screen in that universe and creating logic related plot holes.
      You see the Thanos in that universe was very similar to MCU Thanos, full armor, blade, infinity guantlet with 4 infinity stones. Up until Titan Thanos had collected:
      Power-Space-Reality-Soul stones. If this "illuminati" defeated Thanos, where were the 4 Infinity stones + Dr. Stranges time stone? We see Reed Richards Telepor0t in using the cosmic cube(space stone) that alone could of teleported Wanda into a blackhole or sun and killed her instantly yet somehow worlds smartest man=dumb ass fool.
      As far as we know the Illuminati has no issues killing as they killed their Dr. Strange so why did they not use any of the 6 Infinity Stones to stop Wanda.
      The Time stone could of trapped Wanda in a time loop as the Wanda of that Universe is not immune to universal effects from the infinity stones and the Scarlet Witch cannot daywalk control that Wanda if that Wanda is turned into a chair with the use of reality stone. Xavier with the mind or power stone could amplify his psychic powers to temporarily severe the daywalking connection or take full control of Wanda from the Scarlet Witch yet we dont see them use the Infinity stones even though we do know that Thanos was defeated on Titan with 4 Infinity Stones in the guantlet therefore we can safely assume Dr Strange never gave up the time stone, so where in the heck were these stones?
      Including the Thanos moment really leads to a lot of these plot holes regarding where are the Infinity Stones, and its pretty obvious having the Infinity Stones in this movie would really dwarf the magnitude of power of the Scarlet Witch so it was good to not include the stones but the Thanos moment brings in the Infinity Saga moment, and in a vast multiverse they could have done galactus, ultron-vision or literally anything else that does not relate to Thanos or the Infinity Stones.

    I know the movie wanted to create this "did Strange make the right call" discussion, but it seems kind of pointless. He didn't say in Infinity War that the path he chose was the best. He looked at an insane number of possible futures and this was the only one where they won. It was that or losing. There's no dilemma for him to ponder over. A magical book sounds good, but since Strange didn't know about it, that was never going to be something they'd use to stop Thanos in the main universe. I don't get the idea that Strange needs to go on the same Iron Man arc and "fall on the sword." He didn't make Tony fall on the sword instead of himself. Tony doing it was the only way they didn't all die or at least half of them permanently die.

    I have a couple different theories for a few characters .. my first one is with Wanda We obviously know she not dead just more then Likely burried I think at some point in time white vision goes and saves her they go off screen for awhile and some how billy and Tommy pop up in our 616 universe . It only makes sense especially with how Wanda vision and the movies ended and the other Wanda saying “just know they’re loved” so we’ll deff get a billy and Tommy at some point.
    My 2nd theory with strange is that He finally let’s go of that love he had for Christine and starts to really try and find himself I think marvel goes full on with doctor strange to make him like the leader of the newest avengers team that’s why I think there’re gonna keep him off screen and do the same thing with Thor when that comes out and all summer we’re getting alot of Disney plus marvel series so alot will tie into that also .
    3 I think the avengers tower is the Reid richards lab but he doesn’t have his powers yet in our universe . And I also think he has a small program under him in his building line oscorp cause I don’t think marvel wants to push another Goblin movie but I do think Ned Turns into hobgoblin at some point.
    4 now that the multi verse is open I don’t think we get alot of big movies for X-men characters I honestly believe marvel will just take some guys from a universe that had a incursion make a storyline with that and run with it .. they’re so good at those things .. maybe multie verse travel been here for years ? Because the snap never happened in other universes so technically strange and America was traveling back in time ? We could see that tie into certain things and maybe seven had mutants in the mcu all along ?
    So much I think about when it comes to marvel it gives me headaches lol but none the less I’m excited as hell for the future we’re 100% going to get a secret wars the word “incursion “ was getting tossed around like they basically did with the infinity stones and thanos post credit scenes.

    Despite Feige claiming that viewers don't need to watch the D+ shows to see a movie, turns out if you don't, you won't understand what's going on with Wanda at all.

    For the people that are here for the 1st time on this channel, I just wanted to say that I watch several CZcams channels that are devoted to comics and comicbook movies and a lot of them are really really good. I've been watching Charlie Channel for a long long time. This happens to be 1 channel where you can come in blind(not having a good understanding) and Leave with a much better understanding because of the way it is being explained. Just My opinion 🤷

    Am I the only one that noticed marvel never included the “ things just got out of hand “ evil strange scene .. like we never really seen evil strange

      Misdirection - Marvel is famous for that. Plenty of examples of them having scenes in trailers that either don't show up or have been altered in the movie. (Spiderman NWH - missing Spiderman punching Lizard, empty chairs in the Living Tribunal, plenty of Endgame scenes, etc)

    Charlie, can you explain how the multiple Doctor Strange are the same actor in different timelines where a decision whereas the multiple Spider-Man are different actors and generations? Would there be another "Tom Holland spidey" out there? Would there be an older or younger Strange somewhere?
    On a side note, I'm so curious how Feige plans to introduce Magneto, especially given the fact he was in WW2 and he'd be in his 90s now... they can't make that a floating timeline like Frank Castle fighting in the Cold War and now in Afghanistan instead to make it fit...

      Apparently vision wasn't needed because age of ultron didn't happen in 838.
