  • One of our customers brought in his SS Camaro to tune it with the new bolt ons he added. See the horsepower and torque gains he picked up with just a cold air intake and long tube headers. He just purchased a Hawg A.S.S. Camshaft kit while he was ere too so you will get to see what just the camshaft adds when he comes back!

I had a 2014 with kooks headers and intake, by far the best sounding. I had a brand new 2018 Camaro ss (six speed) that couldn’t keep up with me when we did a couple pills; awesome !!

@@sugerhitman1295 Nahhh I believe him he’s got an LS3 or a L99 if he’s auto but it’s still considered an LS it’s just fit for an automatic transmission. The 2018 comes with the new LT1 they definitely pull on the new 2020s but something about the 2018s that were off same with mustang they still look amazing though

@@greygodice3865 Headers and intake on a 5th Gen is not enough to beat a 6th gen Camaro SS....you will need a cam.

@@sugerhitman1295your right a LS3 will need more than a cold air intake and headers to equal a LT1 but a LS3 495 horsepower crate engine with a fairly mild camshaft it comes with will equal and from 3500rpm to 6000rpm it surpasses the LT1 below 3000rpm the LT1 is better look at both engine dynos they are close from 3000rpm up the 495 LS3 is better starting at 3500rpm up than the LT1 the LS3 495 crate has a mild 219 duration intake 228 exhaust both have 525 lift it's not a large cam but healthier than a stock LS3 camshaft

High reading dyno most ls3s run about 405 to 420rwhp headers intake tune... but good gains

Definitely a number for a (cammed) car for sure

My old LS3 5th gen ran 410whp headers only, no tune
Meanwhile my big turbo Cobalt ran 450whp, which was a dead on accurate number on the same dyno.
LS3 make a lot of power, now 440? Nah, but I could see this car being 420whp realistically.

is tuning with the hood up a good idea ? you dont drive with the hood up. wont it change the air flow and intake temps ?

Did that say 413hp for a stock 2012 ? That seems very high .
