As someone who lives abroad, the Italians are never belittled ,most of us other Europeans have huge respect for our neighbour's history, culture ,productivity and style and have only respectful things to think.
This song was literally the sound of the future. Mind blowing at the time, and still holds its own.
Even despite the appegiator getting a lot of use since, I Feel Love still sounds pretty unique.

All this becomes even more incredible if we think of Moroder's country of origin. It was born in Ortisei, a small village in Val Gardena, in the Italian Dolomites. In the 50s it made around 2500 inhabitants. There was still no mass tourism that would invade these places in the years to come. There was no television, no internet, no cell phones and certainly the towns were more isolated than now. To have the vision that Giorgio Moroder had and the strength to put it into practice starting from Ortisei you have to be an extremely badass. No offense to Ortisei but it is not New York or Milan, Berlin or London and doing what Moroder did would have been difficult even if he was born in this city.
Coming from such small places often means that you have nothing to lose and you are hungry for success and ready to work hard for it.

I was 19 and danced to this and other amazing tracks at the Embassy Club in London where the extended video promo for “Mighty Real” (Sylvester) was filmed. The year of Saturday Night Fever. Yet this was so much more advanced. Let’s not forget that this music was created to be played in dance clubs with that incredible sound technology to create a feeling of being on top of the world. By the way Giorgio dressed in the “right” interpretation of 70s style - there was a right and wrong way to do it.
Go back ten years, and the typical disco wouldn't have the quality of sound reproduction, especially in the bass, for this to even work. Definitely some chicken and egg going on.

Don't care what people say about Disco at least people danced and it was good exercise. I think movies about it killed it As for Donna Sumer she was Queen of the charts. It started with Kraftwerk and then Giorgio took that electronic music and started everything we here today in modern dance music. I feel love was the very beginning of everything we here today. It was like the "Big Bang" of disco and trance and everything else. Its very rare that you can trace an evolution in music to one song but "I Feel Love" was the very beginning of modern dance music.
