From here 1975 to Eternity -> 2024
June🎉🎉🎉
The music is so awesome I bet my great..great..great... grandchildren will be rocking in 3000AD.
I could listen to this everyday
This is the sound of the future!!!
The Synthesizer will always be the instrument and sound of the future.
"And then have a sound of the future
And I said, "Wait a second, I know the synthesizer
Why don't I use the synthesizer which is the sound of the future?"
...
But I knew I needed a click, so we put a click on the 24-track
Which then was synced to the Moog Modular
I knew that could be a sound of the future
But I didn't realize how much the impact would be
My name is Giovanni Giorgio
But everybody calls me Giorgio"

And it was. 49 years later!
imagine this in the 70s.
Wild. Way ahead of his time. Light years! 😎
My mom’s cousin - my distant uncle owned this LP back in 1977-78 ! I borrowed it so much from him to play it on my new record player that he finally gave it to me 😊
In 2016 I used to play this on my iPhone while commuting between NJ & NY - memories spanning so many decades - I am writing this in 2024 😱
That's a good short story, thanks for sharing!
Good story. Big hit aroundy my city. Fortaleza, Brazil.
I was a 6 year old from down South India when I listened to this song in a Dolphinor Vinyl LP player with two BIG Stereo Speaker boxes way back in 1978 and after that I should have listened to this a million times. Way ahead of the time and kudos to that unforgotten obscure person who had purchased this Vinyl and allowed me into the world of Giorgio Moroder.
I only know this song because of GTA: liberty city stories
That game was so awesome
Absolutely insane that this came out in 1977
It sounds more like 1997. It was waaaaay ahead of time.

My name is Giovanni Giorgio, but everybody calls me...The Sound Of Future.
Another classic from the master. Way ahead of it's time.
Indeed !!! Just with the first 50 seconds, you have all the discography of Daft Punk and a lot of Underworld stuff too !! :)
He only had one crappy synth and look what he did oh well !
The song that began the end of Disco, the decline of Rock and the total change of Classic Pop & Funk.

Genius is an understatement. He produced Donna Summer’s mega hit I Feel Love and so many others. I danced to this at my prom in 1979 🎉
The importance of this track and Giorgio himself cannot be overstated.

This song gave me chills when the first time I was heard it.
I was blown away...good for mixes n dance ...
As beloved as he is, Moroder must still be one of the most underappreciated artists when you consider his impact on music. So many huge hits I never knew were him, like Berlin - Take My Breath Away, Flashdance - What A Feeling. And his solo work doesn't seem to get that much attention despite being so far ahead of its time.
Agree
3 Oscars for Best Original Song is hardly underappreciated! Credited as the Grandmaster of electronic dance music (no, not EDM). Synthpop, Techno - absolute genius.
@@pSynrg303 I see what you mean, but that's kind of that I meant. Despite all the accolades, the pioneering, the catalogue of incredible hits, I don't really hear him talked about a whole lot. He's far from a household name at present, even though the genres he birthed are thriving.

I've heard mixes and extensions to this track and none of them ever even come close to the original, Giovanni Giorgio is a master of synth music and I hope future generations will love his music just like I grew to love it despite not even being around when this work of absolute art was released. Leaves me needing nothing, nothing left to need

Feels good now she makes me love me once again
Baby, baby, loving her is easy
Easy how she loves me, love me once again
