    I said I’d share my experience with the 365 Legion I just bought in an earlier comment. Love it. Only had time to put 300 and some change through it. No malfunctions, no change in the FCU to frame fit or slide movement as seen in this video. With the Romeo X compact, no problem hitting a 3x3 pastie square from 25 with shorter splits than my G19 with an RMR or my G34 with an SRO. It’s been a while since a pistol shot enough to my liking that it made me laugh like a kid laughing at his own farts in a bathtub after I finished each magazine. I agree on the trigger, wall was discernible with a rolling break that was predictable and I didn’t have to try as much as usual to prevent pushing the muzzle low and left than I usually do as I get closer to the end of the range session. I also picked up a 320 AXG Legion, shot that dude on the same day, had just as much fun. After I got home and cleaned both heaters, my glock 19 and 34 went into a pelican and will probably remain there until TBD. No buyer’s remorse whatsoever. I’d argue to make sure something isn’t broken in the review pistol and don’t pull a pistol trial where the glock broke mid firing schedule and was found to be broken afterwards, and they threw the baby out with the bath water and didn’t take into consideration that even though there was a broken part, it continued to run. Just my two cents, I’ll go back to being a nobody now.

    @nYdGeo Před 29 dny +7

    I agree, the spectre comp is a feel good measure. I've been shooting open-class pistols for over 30-years and I understand what proper chambered comps are and how they work. The spectre comp is a best a vertical vent that some gas will take via the path of least resistance. There is no chambering at all to build or control gas volume or pressure. There is almost no baffle area for the gas to push forward. My wife has a p365 XL Rose with the integral slide comp and in my opinion, it does nothing. Borrowed a standard p365XL barrel and put it in the weapon, negating the comp area completely, and the felt recoil is exactly the same.
    On pistols like this, I don't know if comps or ports are needed or even a good idea, but proper barrel porting will prove to be more effective and the better option. This is especially true on striker fired pistols as proper barrel porting will have zero effect on reliability.

Each one loosened up during the first few hundred rounds of being fired, mostly 115 and 147 ball and a few mags of HST 124+P. When I spoke with SIG CS they stated that they were still in spec and there was nothing to worry about. I eventually sold them and moved on to other platforms.

    An interesting review, and watching the P365 "grow up" from a sub compact to a compact size gun. I will note that mine has not exhibited the change in fitment that yours has. However, you did not note how "tight" the mags are with 17 rounds and the difficulty to seat them with the slide closed. But this tension definitely reduces any looseness in the slide to frame movement. I would also note that if quicker return to target in an EDC does not matter, then porting has no benefit except for competition guns.

    That slide to frame thing is even more of an issue on the plastic frames. You can really bend it apart and its even more pronounced when you got a wml at the end. The rail on the frame for the slide is located in the rear. This wasn't an issue with the 3.1 365s because it wasn't long enough to cause issues. As 365s evolved to pretty much compact sizes you notice these things now.

    Does the axg grip have a steel insert for the fcu to lock into? I had a sharps bros aluminum macro grip (since returned, terrible experience/interaction with the CEO). But that grip had that system and it the insert wasn't properly loctited into the frame with the screw. About 300 rounds in that screw backed out causing the exact issue you demonstrate. It was fine after retorqued but there were other issues causing me to part ways with it.

    I built out a custom P365 XL with an Icarus Grip module. After approx. 1k rounds it also developed that wiggle from the FCU to the grip module. In the past I have fixed slop in AR upper and lowers receivers by placing an o-ring between the receivers at the front take down pin. So, I took a page out of that book and placed an o-ring between the grip module and the FCU and voila, no more wiggle and that is with another 1k rounds through it. Would I recommend this when spending north of $2k on a P365, no, but then again, I still love my P365s and thinking to build another.

None have that much vertical or lateral slop between FCU and slide. They're all polymer grip modules, but that shouldn't matter. I'm thinking of getting a 365AXG grip module if the ever become available- but now I'm doubting that idea.

    @1911Syndicate I bought a CustomWorks 365 and it was tight upon purchase. Within 500 rounds it opened up in the front by about 3mm and tapers to a tighter fit in the rear. I called Sig about it and they said it is designed to do that over time but it will still be reliable. It is still reliable. I’m at 1,200 rounds in and no malfunctions. But accuracy on shots over 7 yds has diminished. It still can defend for EDC situations but now my tight spread at 10 - 15 yds has opened up by 3-4 in. Compound that in a defensive situation with adrenaline pumping and moving targets and I doubt I would place all lead on target. I’m looking to sell my build for $600 OBO.

The new striker has a slightly improved sear geometry and quite honestly blew me away with how much slop it took away from the break. My honey concern is the break is lighter than an old series 70 1911 from Wilson combat. Wanna fix the trigger? I hate being a schill, especially when I ain’t makin anything, but it’s worth it to me to inform y’all that you can definetly fix you 365 trigger if you feel that there’s room for improvement. I like that SIG has made the AXG legion, mostly because they FINALLY caught up to companies like Mischief Machine and Icarus Precision by offering an aluminum frame option for people who like a little more weight.
    Personally I have no use for the comp slides that everyone is so enamored with right now, I'd rather have a longer barrel for better velocity and ammo performance, and it's also impossible to suppress a comp'd gun. Shalotek has me more interested than anyone else with their "XXL" length slides withe either a 4.1" flush-fit barrel or a 4.7" threaded barrel.
    Full size gun characteristics in a gun that's still slimmer than a compact, I'm highly intrigued, swap slides and my EDC that I carry IWB can go in a retention holster on my belt for use with my carrier in training.
    Same gun, same handling, just more barrel and velocity (and potentially suppressed) I dig it
