I had an extra modern/tabard/calm Kraven, turned him into Ka-Zar. Gave his lion vest to Hercules v1. That vest really added to that figure.
I really do wish that Kraven was a regular release because being a Walmart exclusive can tricky or difficult to find because I could use a Kraven The Hunter figure for Spider-Man to fight against in my Spider-Man shelf, If I do see him, I will get him, Great review Dan.
Even though I grew up with this cartoon, I definitely feel like the comic versions/looks should always be considered THE definitive version of the characters. It just feels more pure you know?

Kraven has been shipped by uk & Ireland stores since Monday / Tuesday. Looks like we got them in early.
Figure looks good. Like you, I wish it had a neutral expression sculpt as well. Gritting face looks cool and I like it a lot, but an extra head of neutral expression would've been nice.
I've got mine ordered. He's not Perfect, but I need a new Kraven. Mine is an OLD Toy Biz version!
How does Black Tom Cassidy's head look on Kraven? Might just need some slight modding to the facial hair.
They can be opened so that you can put all you took out the blister?.right back up the Blister..like.No one cld tell it was opened! Hangs right back on the wall! On a Happy note!??? I too? Saw the Old Spider -Man Saturday morning cartoon version! 😊 Love him 😊
They forgot his funny thong, lol. I guess I gonna wait to see the look of Kraven at live action, also Kraven looks better on gameverse.
I do tend to associate the vibrant yellow with Kraven, due to the animated series. However, I also really like the one that has skulls on his knees, that was very well done and it is a more realistic look for Kraven. Having said that, I did pre-order this new one and recieved my invoice for it this week. Royal Mail are supposed to be delivering it tomorrow. It's good that we don't have to do deal with these ones being exclusives. It's also good that we get them early. It is not usually the case with most toylines. There are things that Hasbro could do better and I do think that they overcharge these days, but at least they don't take very long to release their stuff. We get their stuff quite quickly, we're not having to wait for ages after the figures are announced. They tend to arrive earlier than expected.
Prowler, civie Peter Parker, Vulture, Morbius, Robbie Robertson, Chameleon, Harry Osborn, Punisher, Blade, Smythe, Madame Webb and if they need versions of Spidey they could use those alias identies he used like Richette.
I need an animated series vulture !
This has allowed me to collect Spidey's rogues and in the form that I am most familiar with them. That said... WHY did they not update his face or give us an alternative face and these colors are WOW they are tacky lol
Awesome review. I would have loved it if it came with at least an alternate head sculpt and some extra hands would have been nice. I can deal with the pins in the arm and legs if it came with those things.
The best version for me is the first release with retro head.
A nessecary achievement by hascrap not an absolute must have, because of lack of modern use of engineering. Old body makes it lack interest. Not a Great action figure, as it should have been, because this is an essential character in the spidey mythos 😂
Looking forward to getting this guy! My only complaint is that he needed that same cheetah like deco that he has on his right arm band, on his crotch and butt!! He wore a pair of undies over his pants that had that print on it, haha! Great review Dan, as always!!
Hank looks like animated Chameleon. That Scorpion should have been a bit bigger in my opinion. I'm still surprised that Hasbro didn't put black lines on Shocker, particularly when he's supposed to be based off the 90's animated version. I hear ya on Chameleon though, I think he is in demand so it will likely happen. Having said that, I quite like him in a suit. The mobster look does actually suit him. It's nothing like how he was in the 90's show so he may not look right next to these 90's inspired figures but he's still cool. I do think that Hasbro could have given him a slightly better headsculpt though. If Hasbro do release a 90's version, they should do a new headsculpt really, otherwise it's not necessarily an upgrade. It would just be a different outfit with more vibrant colours to go with the other 90's inspired figures. Some people may prefer that outfit but that's totally subjective and could even be based on nostalgia for the show. Some may prefer him in a suit. It just comes down to personal preference.
This is an EASY GUILTY PLEASURE PICK UP especially for guys like us who grew up with this show. Did I buy this figure yes do I regret it no but still I agree hasbro is just lazy, they could have easily updated a secondary headsculpt / hands at minimum.
I need a kraven figure myself, but all I can see with his jacket is a split face smiling sabertooth!!!🤷♂️😬😐
Great review. Love the comparisons. The older ones look better. If this one had a new face it would be much more desirable.
That face looks as if he's wrestling with constipation.
The body looks to be Grim Reaper with Captain America booties.
I prefer the look of the one with the armoured knees. It looks more grim and gritty.
A newer slightly bigger buck with better articulatio is what he needs. He's big and bulky but agile too. Something akin to Jada Toys Fei Long. Now that's an action figure.

I hate these retro cards. It’s so hard as a normal opener tomorrow these beautiful packages. I actually preferred the cruddy cardboard only ones. Was so easy to toss. I’m running out of room. ….
Such a missed opportunity
Mustache is too small. Digital face print isn’t an upgrade. Looks ok on card. Taller is nice. The zebra touches are nice. The neutral expression is better. My animated Ock is in transit! Yay! Aunt May! Yes new animated Chameleon! Hasbro, get on it! Long live the retro card! Morbius, Blade, Smythe, Felicia, Robbie Robertson, Vulture, Polo Pete, Harry, Spider Slayer, Doctor Strange…more…more! Muhahahahaha!

I’m sorry but this is just sad. No alternate head, no alternate hands, and 1 accessory???????? Meanwhile even Longshot and Spiral came with multiple accessories, with unique molds! But Kraven is 100% reuse and not one alternate head or hands even to pose him differently??? What?!?!

Easy pass
The growling face probably suits the version you swapped heads with because he looks more tribal whereas the animated version looks like he's on his way to a fancy dress party at a gay bar, at least comparatively anyway. The one that came with the neutral head actually looks like someone who might live in the jungle as opposed to someone who is trying to make a fashion statement. That is why they should probably swap heads because the neutral one looks like that of a male model. I know the new head has the updated tech but the new figure is based off an animated version. The other looks like he could be from a live action movie.
For the price, definitely needed more accessories. A second head, more hands, and a hunting rifle would have made it a much better value.
