I'm pretty sure these are the fulfilling of the contract arrangement Hasbro had with the factory for the Damon Helstromm bodies, just repurposed in a slap dash attempt at salvaging previously discussed plans.
Kraven and taskmasker are such underrated spiderman villans i hope i see taskmasker in the new spiderman game as a real villan

And by your sense that means rhino sucks to because he is always being used by doc ock or someone, same as kingpin because he is always trying to hide that he isnt a drug lord or that he is always not the main villan, same as doc ock because he always becomes a villan because a thing at his neck corrupted him, etc
"Let's go animated series look but also comic book and then mush that together" is unfortunately the motto of the Spider-Man retro line. They mix comic characters with animated show characters, they give animated-style paint decos to comic sculpts, a handful of figures have cel-shading but most don't, and so on.
Good thing we’ve got the VHS line now! Hopefully we’ll get a lot new figs in the proper style.
yet i like most of them. i think the rhino, mysterio and shocker all look great in this a bit less faithful form. but that kravens face really ruins it. never in the show kraven looks anywhere so enraged and crazed, he is a stern and stoic hunter who at most shows his teeth like a lion, not a starved cannibal
Great video! I might add some outlines to his jacket so it matches with the artwork/ tv series. I also with he had another head too
I wonder how he compares with the older Kraven before the two pack that had the skulls on the knees
Another classic! To me most of the complaints would have been ignored if they add just simply added another headsculpt. The reason I skipped that Last Hut 2pack was the very same reason I'm skipping this one. I hate that damn head.

Real talk I didn't even know Kraven wore leopard print undies; I think it actually looks much better without them.

You mentioned more than once you like this packaging, so I want to know how you feel about the new card backs (the retro line not the AtSV line)?
If you were referring to the one with Elektra and stuff, I don’t personally care for that card design. Interested in what other figs they’ll release on that card though!

The hob goblin one takes the cake for worst retro Spider-Man figure
Well i just order it because i like it. So for the people that don't have in their collection kraven. This is the perfect choice. But the way kraven movie was moved for 2024🤦🏻♂️ So you wanted in your collection only venom , lizard and kraven? What about other villians? From this wave villians collection i have until now green goblin from the 2020 wave sandman, lizard , rhino, doc ock from aunt may 2 pack, shocker, scorpion, hammerhead and hobgoblin!

In fairness none of the carded figures where 100% show acurate. Thats what the VHS line is for.
Well yeah, but my thing is they kept bring up how this one was TAS styled. I just feel they should've committed 100% to the look like they did with Spidey and Venom. Another alternative could've been to just hold off, and release him in the VHS line with another character.
