- Hi everyone,
In today's video I show you how to crochet a beautiful chunky, oversized sweater! This sweater can be customised to fit any size and is beginner friendly!
My apologies about the audio in the intro and outro. Turns out the microphone you see me wearing wasn't actually plugged in 😅 The audio for the actual tutorial is 10/10 though!
I used Hobbii's Amigo Giga (Rust #40) - hobbii.mvk.co/2fdsl and a 12mm crochet hook, but you can use whatever yarn you like!
I used just over 800g but this will vary depending on the size you’re making.

thanks! i made this but left only two rows at the neck for a wider neck and put a ribbed row at the bottom for a more finished look. i also made it short sleeved but making the underarms stitches on the sleeves single crochet. i'm tempted to try the same pattern with a finer yarn.

I love your tutorials but I really would like to know how many grams(approximately). For small and medium sweaters. I know you go by measurements but if I need to by it specifically for this project with your measurements I need an idea. Thank you so much!
Totally agree. Plus i'm not a crochet expert, i'm a beginner, i'm really not good with trying and understand by making stiches 😭. Plus i have to order yarn and i have no idea, really! Please help me with a comfy size S

I’m currently crocheting this but with thinner yarn/smaller crochet hook. I’m a plus size person - any idea if I need to change the amount of stitches I need to skip around the bottom of the sleeve? Not sure if 3 stitches is enough 🤔

If this were to be on a boy, since im gonna mkae this for my brother, would i still need to add 10-15cm?
I am making working in the circle for the body but it keeps on twitching, will this be a problemen when i make more rows? do i have to stadt over?

I realise each jumper is individual but do you have Any suggestions on how you work out what yardage is needed?
Hi Amanda! You could work out yardage by doing up a 10cm x 10cm gauge swatch and measuring how many stitches/yards of yarn per 10cm 🧡
