The boys track day is finally here! After our awesome road trip up Highway 1 with all of our cars, we stayed at a local monterey hotel.TODAY IS TRACK DAY! the goal for the trip was to take all of the cars on Laguna Seca.. AND IT WAS GREAT! This was our first big test day with the M2. We have new @bridgestonetires RE71RS, @nitronsuspension5414 R3, and a fresh corner balance and alignment! Time to rip

Laguna Seca has been around since 1957. Unless you've been living there before then, you knew what you were signing up for when you moved in!

Totally agree with this statement. Also, the reason they paid less for the property was because it was near a track.

92 Dezibels is Bullshit ! not even Nürburgring has that low of a Limit. Laguna Seca needs to fix their shit ASAP. Much love from Germany. ( Normaly we have the Stricktest Rules )

Nurburgring has the highest limit in Europe by a long-shot. Typically tracks in Europe have limits up to 105, the only one I know of that is at 90 is Zandvoort. But getting kicked out for 94.5 at Laguna seca is ridiculous. What factory exhaust is that quiet??
There was a recent lawsuit about noise from a shady dude that targets racing... The court ruled in favour of sound limits....
It's 92 decibels in Mont-Tremblant, Canada as well. It's a very fast, almost 2 minutes a lap track that once hosted the Canadian F1 grand prix.
Now reduced to HPDE, Lapping and 3 gentleman racing events per year with very strict 92 db sound limit, we have to thank the real estate promoters that built appartments, condos and houses all around the track without proper paperwork stating that this legendary, decades old racetrack is there to stay and will make some noise. Now unfortunately people are moving there and complaining about noise and for some reasons are winning in court.

Everyone that lives around Laguna Seca complains about the noise. Why live by a race track then? So they have to regulate the noise when people are at full throttle.
thats what i never understood, like you intentionally moved next to a full blown race track and expect there to be no loud noise. Like be for real.
They are used to using their money to get their way their entire life. They dont care if a track is there they will just keep being a problem till they change it.

They are very strict on the sound level. Even some stock cars won't pass sound at Laguna. You blow a 93 on a 92db day and you're done. They have higher 103 db track days for those that are louder. Be glad you didn't go to a 90db day... those 2 db make a big difference!

Then he needs a front splitter to balance it out otherwise he'll actuallly get lift at the front. Cant have one without the other. Can get away with front splitter and no wing but not the other way around.

One of my best memories in racing was when moto GP came to Laguna Seca and Nicky Hayden R.I.P. won by a half a lap(or at least it seemed it was that much due to it being such a Azz whoopin) it was about 17ish years ago and during Valentino Rossis' run where he dominated every race for 3 or 4 years straight. Nicky was the up and coming youngster that was good but not winning and when he came to his hometown track he took Rossi to school. He didn't know how to handle that funky down hill corkscrew and Nicky sliced right through it lap after lap. RIP Nicky Hayden, god bless him and his family. His brothers are pro superbike racers also, i can't imagine how that shook them up.

92db is standard UK driveby limit. There are some that are lower 😭 If you keep exhaust stock it’ll be fine. It’s worth it to be able to do all track days. Great vid btw, love the food shots, new subscriber here 👍👍

It’s definitely is tough being a passenger. I have no problem being a driver but when I ride passenger on track…I give props to instructors who sit in the car with beginners and giving them tips.
There needs to be an agreement to any home owner in a certain distance from the track that you fully understand and are aware of the sounds that come from the track, personally me I’d love to live next to a track 😂

92db is very low….i live in Japan and my Honda fit with a Mugen exhaust is titled for 96db. That’s wild.

92db is ridiculous and I'm wondering if a combination of you near other vehicles during a busier session of the day made you hit 94db compared to the earlier session.
I know they're strict due to the surrounding regulations to prevent shutting down track days entirely, but lower db weekends means more seat time! (Less people show up) Maybe swap the exhaust for practice and let loose during competition?
