How To Sculpt Acrylic With Your Non-Dominant Hand

So, in this video, I am going to sculpt using my non-donminant hand. The thing I hate most in the world is doing my own right hand's nails. It's so difficult. I've been doing my own nails forever, so I have some hints and tips, that will help you to do them as best you can.
We are closer to releasing some new content here on this channel, please stick by us, it's been difficult transitioning and getting everything right. especially in lockdown. We will have beautiful content for you very soon.

I started doing acrylic on only myself so I am better at doing my dominant hand with my non dominant hand... but the secret that helps me is to always start your nails backwards! Use your non dominant hand to do the nails first and then use your dominant hand to do the nails. Love from MN❤️

I did a whole set on myself this weekend. I've been using my left hand for a long time doing my own nails. When it came to sculpting with acrylic, somehow I had mountains of product. When I filed it down, I had to file the cuticle area all the way down and reapply the acrylic. Otherwise, there would have been lifting. Next time, I'll play this video while I work :). Thank you.

I was one of those "old timers" up until I was in 3rd grade I got in trouble for being left handed... but in the end having to go back and forth when the teacher came around... I am now ambidextrous.... which is great for doing nails on myself 😁 its still a little awkward using right hand, but no where near as hard as it is for true one handed person.

Naio is still there... she is just not doing videos for them now... she's working for herself... which will give her a lot more freedom to create with any brand she wishes.... and I'm hoping for more items in her own brand 😍

I'm 59 years old, so elementary school was quite a while ago. I was ambidextrous as a child. That's until my 2nd grade teacher made me put my left hand behind my back, now I'm firmly in the 70%.
This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time! I did my left hand on Saturday and haven’t gotten a chance to do my right hand! It’s Tuesday now! It will be done by tomorrow...or Thursday lol
In Northern Ireland, we call a splinter, a skelf. I think the Scottish call in that too. I've never heard of the term Adam called it but I suppose its pretty close, lol. I'm left handed and am lucky that I can do quite a bit with my right hand too, but doing my nails on my left hand sometimes turns out a bit disastrous. So this video was fantastic. Thank you Kirsty. I file the same exact way with my left hand. I move my right hand and keep my left hand almost still. 😂😂
I take at least twice as long to do my right hand. And I definitely don't sculpt, tips for me!

After many years of doing my own nails....it has taken a while but I am able to sculpt a pretty decent nail on my non dominant hand. It takes practice! I went to a catholic school and was a lefty to begin with....but was "corrected" to use my right hand. I'm pretty sure I'm ambidextrous because I shoot pool left handed ....but my right hand is the dominant one. Like I said....it took a while to get my non dominant hand perfected so that I didn't have a crap ton of filing to do....it does take practice!
9:45 Would love to see how you corrected the pinching tool collapsing the sides 😉. I feel like as nail techs one of the most important things to learn is how to fix your mistakes. We’re not robots and only human so it would be great to see and learn from. And also comforting to see a mistake from one of the best nail techs! Sending so much love and admiration for your work 🥰🥰🥰
When my daughter was small, I believe the babysitter taught her to use her right hand. We are all left handed except for her thanks K & A 😻 Sue Ellen from WV🇺🇸

I live in Scotland and we have always called a splinter as a skelf, no idea how to spell it right, only posh folk called it a splinter, Dr’s and Nurse’ called it a skelf🤣🤣🏴🥰💕💕

My 10 year old daughter is a lefty and my 2 year old could be too, my son is a righty though like his mama lol. Trying to do my non dominant hand with acrylic looks like I've let my 2 year old do it 😂

I can barely sculpt a nail with my dominant hand. It's the one thing I struggle with is properly shaping a nail using a form.
I had never heard a splinter called a spelk (?sp?) before, so there, I learned that today.😶

One to avoid is anything melodiesusie as they break within 3 times of using it one I use now is from aokitec affordable and brilliant aswell as portable
I’m left handed, in our family 6 of us are, my mom actually got her left hand tied up in the catholic school she went to because it was a sin to be left handed 😒so she had to use her right hand 😔 now she knows how to use both

Its actually only 10% of people are left handed, and left handed women are an even smaller percentage of that. Im a lefty, we tend to look up silly facts about ourselves. You can now say you have read what a unicorn typed, lol
I unsucribed naio nails. It reflects nothing on to the product. A company that will not allow you to expand and grow (using other company's products and so on.) That is not a company that i will contribute to. I don't know all the reasons you left; but the fact that they took everything you built says a lot. Good luck; i will be here watching.
