THANK YOU! I was about to perform battery surgery and tried these steps. At first, nothing....just the same battery logo and no booting up. Then I plugged into iTunes, did the same steps, PLUS pressed each button 3 times after reboot attempts, and it worked. I’m stunned.
For those trying the same thing....mine was unresponsive in iTunes...probably did this procedure 30 times over 4 days...watched video which was the same thing I was doing, but added the button presses while plugged into itunes. that took 6 times while plugged into pc and itunes. 12.9 iPad Pro 2015

I have a similar problem and fix it a similar way. Once it starts, it could work fine for weeks. A good idea is to contact apple to do a diagnostic. They will domso remotely. They said the diagnostic says my battery is bad. That confirms your diagnosis. Thanks for a great video

When I tried I took my charger out of the iPad I’ll try again with the charger
Awesomegirl6865 try having it plugged/ charged in and use a hair dryer to heat up the back/ battery of the iPad, try it at least 5 times, it worked for me (this isn’t a joke, it has to do with reconnecting the battery back to the circuit)

My technique is to get an Android so i don't have this kind of problem
yeah good advice. apple knowingly uses crappy batteries that die shortly after the warranty expires so then they can charge people $100 to replace them or get them to buy a new device. when i went to the apple store for my iPad mini when it stopped charging after 1 and a half years the "genius" even lied and told me that apple doesn't replace iPad batteries because he wanted me to buy a new one.
I tried 100 times it didnt work
Try to keep the ipad plugged in charging for 2-3 hours and then try again. Have to really do it many times. I did it maybe 20-30 times 😅

Well mine didn’t work too but know it works I’m gonna give you a tip how to charge it:
1. if you have a phone or a iPad plug it in
2. bend it then you gotta hold it like 4-5 minutes
