Big difference from Judge Dredd with Stallone where he killed more than one officer pursuing him through the city on the skybike scene.

One of the brilliant and masterpiece by Stephen Spielberg. Tom cruise literally nailed it❤️ the story is phenomenal 🔥🔥
Love this movie, lots of great little details in this scene that could easily go unnoticed the first time (Anderton not trying to fatally hurt his former team members, things like that).
RIP to the construction guys that fell off the scaffolding :(

This movie still holds up till today. I like the effects in this, it's not too far fetched.
I like how far tech has come since this movie came out. I bet when we first saw the jetpacks, we were like, "Cool, jetpacks!" Now, all I can think is, "that's not how jetpacks work!" Since we have them now....
This was the goofiest yet probably most accurate future crime drama ever made.

No one talking about that saxophone kid having a full sized fridge right next to his bed.

bwhahahahaha I love how that dude is just sitting in that chair as if this happens all the time
One bit I love here is that while them bursting into people's homes has a little bit of levity, we see people in private moments that are just being utterly destroyed. But there is anger and rage, but there is some level where they aren't extremely shocked by it.

Must be really hard living on this world. Just imagining killing your toxic boss would get you imprisoned immediately
Meaning to kill your toxic boss getting you imprisoned. Remember, Anderton is being pursued here for something he hasn't done yet.
Fantasizing about doing something doesn't get you imprisoned... but if you make a plan that you intend to actually carry out, then yeah you probably would.
Its a Sci fi movie so it doesn’t make any sense if you really think about it

A funny line by Anderson during the altercation would’ve been, “Apply for worker’s comp.” 🙂

The only tech that is available in this film is the sick sticks, those devices literally make you puke involuntary.

I love sci fi movies and have watched the best and the worst but when i watched this i was shocked cuz i didn't expect it to be so damn good. Definitely worth watching more than once

RIP construction workers. I would hope that they magically survive thanks to the police officers being clutch with their jetpacks.
This scene is hilarious when you imagine that it cuts immediately after to a boardroom meeting where some guy is ruminating on the idea of using jetpacks.
"Soooooooo, Jameson.... *Pinches bridge of nose* tell me why you thought equipping the police with jetpacks was a good idea again"

That is the moral dilemma that the movie poses - and you've chosen your side.
The movie is not just a great sci fi action movie with very cool futuristic gadgets, but also as you've realised poses a very interesting social question:
how far can the civil authorities go to prevent a future crime?
Even by incarcerating a person who as yet has committed no crime?
Is preventing the crime worse than the crime itself?
