    I'm loving the Roces fifth element. I always used to skate the M12 back in the 90s and now I'm skating again after 22 years off, I wanted to learn about the new brands before I tried any. If you know your M12 size you can definitely downsize the fifth element if that helps anyone.

    I love that there are still people out there skating. I still have my remz skates. Seeing your videos inspire me to go find a Ledge or a skatepark and get back at it. And I saw you were in San Antonio! That was where I grew up. I have a video oh me doing this 5 kinked rail that no longer exists but there were some good skate spots down there when I was growing up.
    Keep at it. I’m loving your channel.

    I'm in love with my Eugen Shadows. I've never skated anything like them. I stopped skating back in 2004 (after 8 years) in favour of parkour and because rural northern england isnt exactly known for its plethora of skate-spots or skateparks. So since coming back to skating last year, I like to incorporate parkour movements into it and my shadows are perfect for this style of skating. The unique balance of lots of flex but still with great support allows me to move on these skates in a way I was never able to before. They inspire confidence in my abilities and as i'm sort of re-learning everything at the moment, i'm sure these skates are speeding the process up A LOT. Before I invested in the shadows I was using an old pair of RB TRS Downtown, so upgrading to the Shadows was quite the step-up.
    There's not a whole lot about the skate I would change aside from I swapped the fluid V frames out for Oysi Mediums (which are a dream combo) and I'm thinking I might change out the velcro ankle strap for a proper buckle. The strap does its job well enough but I do have to readjust it now and then which makes me wonder about how long it's actually going to last/perform. I also skate them with the liner laces completely loosened and untied. I have very narrow feet and I suspect anyone with wide or even average-width feet might struggle a bit with the snugness of these liners. I've also ground down the outside metal loop on the toe strap a fair bit from doing some sit-down unity cess-slides....probably best I avoid that trick in future haha.

    There are so many combinations of skate parts and liners..an individual's needs for comfortable feet a factor that varies as well ... I almost feel like it's a little bit of chance and trial and error experience unique for everyone ... little things make a big difference... my top main skate is razors sl... I think razors shift and them 909s would be the next boot considered for me ...

    I've gone through he'll finding skates that work for my wide ass feet since I've picked skating back up. I got the Retro Shimas Cults(mostly for nostalgia's sake), then the Derek Henderson SL 2's, then the Remz 2.5W, and finally the Eugin Enin Shadows. The SLs are my go to. I really want to like the Shadows but totally agree with your sentiment about how you have to invest time into learning how to skate them. Great video, Bud!

    I haven't tried the AG10 nor AG20 but I understand that they're a revamped and rebranded version of the USD Carbon and Carbon Free skates. One of my all-time favorite skates, so based on the 7 skates you listed, this silhoutte/ mold would be my favorite as well. Great review and even better trick vocabulary. Would love to see some "How To" videos on negatives and switch-ups since you're clearly so good.

    Well after going nuts trying to decide what skate to order with no local skate shop - I went 909 because they seem pretty good for what you get. I was really stuck between the Razors SL and the LoMax Aeon but I called an audible and went 909 as a bladder owned and operated company. I was a Rollerblade/Roces/Razors skater back in the day but didn't want an M12, they Blank SK isn't available in my size yet (or wasn't), and all the stuff about Razors made it easier to choose the 909. It was cool to be able to order the 909 with all Them parts and the new soul plate which seems to address most of the criticism of the Them skates in the past. I really wanted a flat skate as the only skates I skated anti were my TRS Lightnings and I didn't love it. The AQ10 looked amazing but that is some serious coin for a boot.

    I've been skating a pair of the black and white 908's with Kizer Fluid 5s and flat 50/50 58-90a wheels with 50/50 Abec 9 bearings. The boots were a little stiff at first but they broke in nicely and have a great flex/support trade off now. If you can't afford to get the Iqons yet but want a new skate I say grab some Thems or maybe the new Faction skates. That way you support a skater owned brand and throw some Fluid 5s on them since you enjoyed those frames.

    I've had my Anarchy's for 5 weeks now after watching your video. First time skating aggressive so I don't really have anything to compare to but i really liked them. Sadly, yesterday, the rear wheel of one of the skates warped out of its core and tore some plastic out of the frame. I'm not sure if this is common or not but my initial thought is that they should last longer than 5 weeks. Waiting to hear from Skatepro to see if it will be replaced or not :)

    Well...makes sense that you felt comfortable in the AG10 like you've skating them for years. You already had a go at the AG20 so it's not like you were a completely alien to them. You had GC frames which you're uber familiar with, so there's that. MyFit Prime liner is essentially a refined & reworked 2nd Skin which you are also familiar with from the Aeons. Had they not named that liner "Prime" they could have easily called it 2nd Skin V2 and nobody would've questioned it. Bundle all those things that you've already been acquainted with, I'd be more surprised if you didn't feel familiar with them.

    I cant stray from cults, SL's, and Shifts. Performance and price is hard to beat. You could say im in a cult ; )

  • @climbtheskyspine5748
    @climbtheskyspine5748 Před 2 lety +1

    How can the new Cults come without shock absorbers or heel pads??
    My old 2006 Genesys and Shift 2s both came with gigantic shock absorbers. For some reason I feel zero impact in the old Genesys L.E.s, but quite a lot more impact in the Shift 2s. The shock absorbers are the same, so that's really weird. Might be because the Genesys have very rare super thick and high Jugg liners and the Shifts have much thinner, shorter MyFits..... Also noticed that the new Razors buckles are mega weak compared to the old strong buckles. Budget cuts, neeeehhhhhhhh. Loving the Shifts, though. Widest soulplates I've skated and the new Create Originals frames are amazing. Skating flat for the first time in decades and zero wheel-bite, flying around twice as fast as anti-rocker on some pretty sweet Deads.

    I hate that all of todays aggressive skates are hard plastic or carbon. Soft-boot skates like Rollerblade TRS Downtowns or K2 Fatty's are so much more comfortable than anything available today

    Great video but in the intro you didn't thank us rollerbooters for being here 😡
    I'm new to aggressive, started with an M12 but the 8-9us caused big toe pain on my 273mm feet. Got Blank SKs 9-9.5 mainly for the individual shell sizing. Much more comfortable and easier to lock in grinds however the m12s did feel more responsive.
