  • In the wake of Depp v. Heard it seems as though the world has courtroom fever! The standout of the case was both sides throwing objections out left and right.
But what are objections and what can be objected in a court of law?
This video will cover a few common objections demonstrated in the Depp v. Heard case and in courtrooms in general.

Thanks for your explanation! I am a newbie scopist and have had a difficult time wrapping my mind around all of these objections when I’m working on transcripts. This gives me such a better understanding.

Omg, thank you for explaining this! I just watched another video about the objections from the Depp v. Heard case, and I was wondering what exactly these terms mean in a courtroom setting, hence how I found my way to your video here. Lol

Hi Mrs. Britt. This is a great video. You helped me tone down my seriousness and discomfort of working as a court interpreter.
We need to take this kind of work lightly and enjoy hearing trials xD

Thank you for this info. Its helping me do better questions for the plaintiff. I am helping my lawyer gather all the appropriate evidence and with this video it gave me a better understanding that speculating and hearsay is not admissible. It helped me come up with questions using their own statements and confessions. You are the best

@@LawyerBritt quick question. What makes an evidence inadmissible? For example are police reports and police videos unmissable for a civil case?

Is it appropriate to object to a lawyers statement during an Initial Scheduling hearing? Pro se plaintiff?
