  • It's a battle of Japanese icons in this battle of 350Z vs Civic hatch. Jorge Torres and his heavy but powerful Nissan 350Z go head to head against David Cortes and his light but lower-powered Civic EK track car. Each has one side of the speed equation to their advantage and one side that is holding them back. With this combination, it’s going to come down to driver skill to find the winner.

As always with “Driver Battles,” these cars are pretty far from stock. Starting with Jorge’s 2005 Nissan 350Z, he has a stock block with a Vortech supercharger, Deatschwerks 600cc fuel injectors, Nismo exhaust, uprev tuned to 91 octane, Feal 442 coilovers, Rays Nismo 57CR wheels and 275/35R18 Nitto NT01 tires. David’s 1998 Honda Civic EK hatch has also seen its fair share of upgrades, with a Greddy turbo kit, 440 RC injectors, a Hondata S300, Riaction coilovers and 225/45R17 Nitto NT01 tires.
With a whole day on the track and tires that don’t fall off, both Jorge and David have plenty of time to find extra speed on the track in this battle of Z vs Civic. It’s all going to come down to who can best save time in the corners and keep their foot down in the straights.

Thank you for having me!! It was an awesome experience! Driving line made a badass video and it couldnt be done without nitto. Such a consistent grippy tire. Made a lot of cool memories and even cooler people! Jorge is FAST!! It was a pleasure racing you.
Fun fact: my PB last was my very last lap of the day. Only reason I went out is because my gf( now my fiancé ❤️) told me to go out one more time and send it!

You could hear how much longer the Z was on the gas going into the corner. But man both these cars are sick. Track oriented tuners for the win

Not too surprised on the outcome… The Z is faster on paper as well as a driver who seemed more experienced. Loved the 350 but the civic was no slouch, with more seat time, I can see the civic reaching the 2 or even sub 2 mark at CVR

I love this series! I just signed up with my LS3 350z maybe a battle against a turbo VQ would be cool.

Vtec’s+ Turbo kits don't mix. Due to the nature of the b16/b18’s and their high compression ratios, the B20 block which he's running specifically from a CRV deals better with boost. Hopefully, that makes sense.

@@djsonicc 👍🏻Your right I'm wrong😂. I had a Boosted 2000 Si back when they first came out. Yes they work just fine but people craved the b20 block + boosted for a reason.

Stock B20 really? How did they ever think this was a fair race when the last race was a k20 civic vs a stock hp 350z and the 350z still won. This Z has 420hp! Smh, at least drop a k motor in it homie or least a b18 with turbo.
