I'm currently cleaning out my garage & 2 sheds of "stuff that'll come in useful one day". Anyone like to place a bet on that "one day" arriving about a month after I've got rid of it?
I've recently cleaned out some parts and such I've been holding on to too long. (Seeing Ike's crazy hoard of cars and stuff over the last couple years has motivated me.) And it happened that I could've used a part just two weeks later. But the feeling of unburdening one's self by getting rid of so much clutter was way more than worth the $13 the new part cost me. So to anyone contemplating: DO IT! Do it now!

Trouble with acquiring stuff is ending up with so much of it that you never get anything done, speaking from experience, I'm a terrible hoarder when I see something that I suddenly want, and then end up with a lot of things that need fixing... :P
It's all about supply and demand. If there are plenty around where you live, $500 sure. But in other places there might not be. Then there is the consideration of maintenance. These days you can buy $50K-75K trucks stacked full of electronic wizzardry from a dealer but everytime something goes wrong you have to have the codes read and plobably spend sh*tloads of cash to get it fixed. Trucks like these are so simple that maintenance and fixing is easy and CHEAP.
i would love to watch more videos like this one not alote of people post videos like this i have been following since cars and camras love to watch the videos over there as well keep up the good work and god bless
People will pay a grand for a set of good rally wheels around here. Patina trucks in the color blue are also very desirable. Square body chevys just look awesome!

"We're gonna have to replace that thermostat." It's very considerate of you to assume the last guy even put one in after his battle with overheating in traffic. 🤣 All jokes aside that's a pretty nice little rig, would go for 2-3k where I live especially given its not rusted into pieces.
Its always nice to see an old car or truck coming back to life and hopefully moving on to see a bit more use again. Its also nice to see that not every vehicle fights against n being put back to work.
Sorry for your loss i lost both parents and they lost everything when the banks stole our childhood home and was left nothing so i feel ya.but atleast u have the property and alot still there atleast ect.he left me a 16 ft laddder and a broken craftsman lawnmower😢
Yeah I don't mind a good revival video now and then. Jeez, I ain't seen one of those in forever. That looks like the same condition of the trucks ya used to see around here many years ago. They sure ain't been around here in a long time, about 35 years to be exact.
Just over a year since ya Dad passed away. My condolences. Pretty cool idea to show some "good times" memories as closers , a lot of us have suffered similarly in recent years and can emphasize. Some memories never get old. 😢
it looks like a Highway probably a 600 or a 650. It’s a vacuum secondary and it sounds like it’s just fine. Probably just needs to be gone through put a new Excelerator pump on the front replace the vacuum, secondary diaphragm, maybe do a smaller set of jets in it and adjust the air bleeds. what is it you say. it’ll be fine
0:14 Understatement of the year! Seriously, how many "project cars" do you have, Ike?? I'm betting no less than 20. And then another 10-20 decent cars that run but you never drive. Don't sell just this one truck to make room for another project. Sell at least 10 to make room for 1.
That little 600 Holley is not too big for a 305 at all...if it running a little rich it may need a new power valve... those 305s are very good engines and do make good power when tuned properly.. nice video bud....I can't wait to see the 57 running

The sad fact if you do not drive your surplus vehicles the deteriorate and If you reduce the number of surplus vehicles maybe you can drive more of your keepers.

I live in, Tn. I have a 2001 Ram Sport, regular cab, SWB, 318, 5 SPEED MANUAL that I wouldn't expect to see 1/2 that, from. It's also clean inside & out, as well as rust free, doesn't use a drop of oil between changes & doesn't, smoke. Not even on a cold start after sitting for, weeks. That being said! What I just read is that there are some DA's where YOU, live, brother! Some REAL DA, mofos.

nice clean up my self no not my way reason is getting to costly replace use them till break down then get one i been fixing to fix that one circle but cast iron no aluminum i know was sad thing th400 or 4l80 houseing out cast sure their heavy 205 was gears but nothing compairs like brick or over build but get better like sold logs 12-16 inchs thick now days 4 inch thick 30 year payment no thanks paid for make it better get more
