Really love the recent influx of high quality videos. You really deserve much higher view counts. Keep at it, Rome was not build in one day. In some of your videos the concept giving up material to improve your pieces came up. Something I, as an amateur, find difficult to do unless I see an immediate decisive attack. This kind of thinking about a position is really going to help me.

Fantastic lesson, thanks Irina. Can you please talk about "time" (not the clock but the ability to play moves needed) in one of your videos? Good luck in your upcoming tournament.

I second this, at times I will be playing such good chess but at the cost of my time, and I get flagged even in a completely winning position. I usually don't get too upset, but I think some videos could help:)

@@vvBoost I think he meant "time" in the sense when you are in dynamic positions and need to act fast if you don't want to lose your initiative/the momentum, etc :)

Hi there, Irina! I just wanted to let you know that I really think your instructional chess videos are top notch. You give such a masterful performance explaining each concept! I really look forward to your videos as I always learn so much and I am quickly able to incorporate the new strategies and techniques into my games. I almost feel like that I should be paying for these lessons, as they are your life learning that you are generous enough to share with us. Thank you so much!

Bb3 looked to be a correct answer to move Bf5. Irina you answered a good cliché. “When you see a good move, look for a better one,” Emanuel Lasker
Good luck in St. Louis American Cup. I’ll be watching. A good lesson on the importance in understanding key squares

I don't think I would've considered pawn g4 for white, but Bg4 in that key moment did look thematic. Nice illustration!

At my 'intermediate" level, I would have probably responded f3 to the Kc5 move. Then black could have exchanged the Knights and I would have captured with fxe4. Then both black bishops would have been limited, and the push of black pawns on e4 and g4 would have been stopped. Then, I would have tried to deal somehting on the f and h files, while trying to bring my last Knight to f5 and castling on my Queen side. Having tested my f3 move, the computer didn't punish me, but gave me a +0.4 instead of 0.5 if Qc2 or Bd3 were played, what is not so bad for my lever I would say. Thanks for this other instructive video that adds another arrow to my archer kit. :)

do you know if all the squars were the same color on a chess board it would make no difference to how the game is played 🤔
you would just have a bishop called the kings bishop and an other called the queens bishop,

White's objective is to form the en potence at once and afterward to establish the grand left oblique, while the minor crochet covers the right wing against the adverse major front echelon. The minor left oblique refused is inferior to all strategic fronts directed either by the right or by the left or by the right refused..

0-0, which would have been my first thought, wasn't even something to think about. Your idea, Nf3-d2-e4, was wrong in detail but it was on the right topic. Completing development by castling and connecting the heavy pieces wasn't even on the right topic.
That makes your point forcefully. In this position you were fighting for the White squares (and in the most precise manner, or with one of the two accurate options) or you were nor doing anything of value.
