The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

Considering that the Dominion wants to destroy mundus to return themselves back into primordial energy I'd say the empire would be a better ruler

"Imperial Empire" sounds redundant...it should be Cyrodillic Empire or Septim Empire or just The Empire...

i think that trying to pick between the two is pointless, since lands like morrowind and blackmarsh would never dare ally themselves with another power ever again, and both the dominion and empire are rather pathetic in the grand scheme of things. i think we should factor two things into the debate. 1. the fact that both are not perfect and 2. the fact that the empire can be just as extremist as the dominion when lead by groups like the alessian order. i think that if the aldmeri dominion gained power, they wouldnt maintain it for long. they wouldnt even last an era before rebellion came knocking, and rebellion would win, like it always does. the people would be wanting independence, and they wouldnt be asking nicely. just look at real world history. look at the american revolution and the effects it has still to this day. the militia cut a bloody hole in the land while colonizing it. they painted the green trees red with blood, both native and british, and they did not stop until they got what they wanted from the land. independence from the british empire.
Maybe neither deserve Tamriel
Elves shouldn't rule Tamriel, and gods forbid high elves ever rule.
Queen Ayrenn would be ashamed at the sight of the current Thalmor.
The Empire and mankind would win, in my opinion. If the Altmer, Bosmer and most of the other Elven races have longer lifespans than humans, I'd suspect that the Elves would have an inferior reproduction rate compared to that of humans. The Empire and mankind could exploit this and win the war against the Aldmeri Dominion. I know it’s a fantasy and fictional world but it’s plain strategy.
When it comes to the First Aldmeri Dominion, I'd happily pledge myself to Queen Ayrenn. The other Dominions? Not so much.
I interviewed an Imperial soldier once. I asked him what it was like to kill a person.
Hearing the whole of the Empire's lore and history, all it does is repeat a single sentence that General Tullius tells you after promoting you.
