- Dicey Dungeons Part 8 - and I easily could've done more. In this Witch episode, the dice rolls are not random, but sequential. Use that to your advantage (or disadvantage) to make the craziest build imaginable!

Throwing 53 dice at someone is as good a way as any to establish dominance.
I'm tired of rolling them on the table how 'bout I roll them *ON YOUR FACE*

I’d certainly be terrified especially if it’s a metal d4
"Alright, so in this game, you attack with dice."
"Oh, like roll it?"

"Dude, what the hell?"
Yes
"Oh no," said Tyler as he looks at his shocked equipment. What the boss did not realize was that the dice that stood before them was absolutely ripped. "Whatever shall I do?" Asked Tyler, as he doubles the amount of die in the pile.

I absolutely lost it when he beat the final boss just by throwing dice
When I saw that he could stack dice like that, I was really hoping he would. I was giddy when I realized he was going for it.
yeah, just imagine you are fighting someone with a spear and they throw 50 die on you!
yeah
figuratively killed me and literally killed it 🤣
Oh no they are stacking, so anyway, I just started blasting
Imagine the amount of dice IRL he could've gotten even more
Tyler had the perfect control combo. Counterspell and freeze to lock their dice.
Especially with Glass Cauldron, since you can put it on one and just keep refreshing it every use. Every die is a freeze.
Although, there is 14:17. The Wizard got counterspelled on five, and then the freeze changed it to a one, but it didn’t get unlocked. Maybe freeze + counterspell isn’t a thing.
@@jeezuhskriste5759 I believe it is, I faintly remember using that build! Counterspell locks the die if it is a specific number at any point, so if a five is frozen into a one and you counter fives, it will lock before the freeze is applied. However, if you counter ones, it will lock the die after the freeze is applied.
@@toptextbottomtext6104 interesting
Due to the luck of the draw leading to Scathach aka Miss Hard-Counters Freeze & Lock being this run's boss, going all-in on the Dice-Stonks engine ended up being the correct play.
I've started to like this series more and more
same
I didn't like the first episode, but I am loving the series now.
Imagine having a battle with someone, watching them cast like 30 spells and barely fight back, then just being absolutely barraged by them throwing 53 dice at you
That is what we call, a combo
I took a look at the game on steam a while ago and saw the witch wasn't well liked, despite thinking Tyler def would like her
The Witch is the hardest character in the game, by a LONG shot. I had completed the absolute hardest thing in the game with every other character before even being able to complete the EASIER version of that thing with the Witch.
Witch is literally my least favorite. I still don't mind
@@misirtere9836 Ok you say that but I've at least beaten the Witch's first episode. Completely completed the Warrior and I still can't get 1 win as the inventor.
I only really dislike robot and inventor probably because they can just make you lose things, but the witch isn't my favourite either simply because she's the hardest character
@@diggory4ii385 It's not the first episode that's the problem. It's NEVER the first episode...
The real problem with the Witch is that a good chunk of her first turn is spent setting up the rest of her turns, which isn't the case for any other character. As a result, she is inherently slow. This is a problem once you get to the Elimination Round and enemies start getting upgraded equipment to kill you faster.
And the Hard Mode Bonus Round... oh don't even get me STARTED on the Hard Mode Bonus Round...
Ah yes, my absolute favorite witch strategy: Throwing as many dice as possible
Thank you for doing that at the end, it was worth waiting for
Ah, classic. Breaking the game ridiculously. Perfectly balanced as ever. Spiff would be proud.

Scatach:ha! your equipments are shocked, what are ya gonna do witch?
The witch:*pulls out a minigun* dice yeeter 1000
Hey, the final boss looks like a really fun clicker game. I should try this to sometime
“You cannot beat me,” the scathach says. The camera then pans over to a comically sized pile of dice surrounding the witch. “Whatever shall I do?” she says.
Imagine being the boss, and this guy comes to you, puts down 50 mirrors, and then just starts yeeting a ton of dice at you.
And he actually wins.
i mean if someone has 4 dice and somehow is able to throw me 50 different dice out of nowhere i would surrender no matter what. i'm not up for torture today
The ending with just a huge barrage of dice was hilarious, loved this episode.
Time to watch this before bed. Hope everyone has a good night sleep!
Wish I could sleep but I'm doing an overnight at work.😞 Good thing I have Tyler's videos to keep me company!😄
@@joshburleigh8252 but you're at a company, why would you need more

thank you i won't
@@schandler7536 I work in a psych rehab building. The other people are asleep.
Edit: now I get your pun!😆
The 2nd 3rd of the episode felt so weird because I could see so much near infinite play from turns 1 and 2 growing more exponentially than Tyler seems to have noticed. Glad he still made it crazy at the end!
How?
@@tinytroll1005 There were certain things like duping a 5, then getting another dupe using the 5 to dupe another for an infinite 5 loop. However, the main actually useful thing was just having multiple prepared dupes and halls for an insane amount of dice.
@@mobilegamesonly3170 but the thing is, with the 5 dupe you would at most have a net increase of one 5 and you cant increase it any further
"Don't mind me, just assembling a giant square of dice."
I love how he said it so calm and after complementing about removing his shield. Like, I'm better than all.
Loving this series, and the dabbling in control! It may take a while, but that dice yeet at the end makes it worth it
incredible how it turned out perfect that each five could duplicate a 1 for a total of doubling all your ones, and then you had a perfect number of 2s and 6s to trigger it exponentially more times. each turn you'd gain 2x as many dice as whichever number you had the least of, if my math serves me right, that'd be 16 or 18 more dice next turn, and only more insane each time
There's also the fact that he can combo his remaining 3s and 4s to heal and block, so overall amazing boss strat
1,000 dice
1 million dice
10 duotrigintillion dice
ngl tyler committing to a freeze build scared me exactly because I knew scathtch exists and is immune to it. I always either do a double element build or just pure damage because of how many bosses benefit from one type of element or another. like how buster is strong against fire but scathach is immune to freeze, so usually I do freeze-weaken builds or just go into poison because the only boss that doesn't immediately die to massive poison stacking is drake and yet the poison keeps him low enough that you can eventually get the wooden stake down and his hp would be in range without worrying
wrong dice minigun best strat
Honestly, I love building long combos in these games, that last kill was absolutely beautiful. Power defect comes to mind.
I've been trying to get all achievements in this game for a while, since those are all bound to the challenges (not episodes) in the game.
There are some really hard ones like getting a max hp of 64 or dealing 30 poison to an enemy in one turn. I hope Tyler tries to do some of those as well.
also, Id love to see a Mana build with the witch.
How do you raise max hp? Also what is mana?
@@aguyontheinternet8436 way to get max hp is the thief equipment that lets you gain max hp if you finish off the enemy with a very weak attack. Mana is uh... kinda a parallel universe gimmick of the witch which completely changes up equipment
I absolutely adore hall of mirrors bc of this exact scenario! it's just so fun to curbstomp everyone and everything in the dungeons lol
31:42 "it's slow, but it's gonna snowball into something glorious" what a quote
Yo Tyler long time watcher, I love this game and one of the most fun and interesting challenge in the game is in the Halloween special episodes but more specifically the witch episode. I would love to watch you destroy that game mode.
These are my favorite types of builds because they absolutely break the game thank you for doing this I love your bedtime videos
Scathach: *Shock all Tyler's spell*
Tyler: Oh no!
Also Tyler: Anyway. I'll just throw my dice to your face!!
Imagine beeing the final boss, a glorious warrior of thousands of battles, and the crazy witch just starts jeeting infinite dice in your face. love this build, lol. :D
I hate when people jeet dice at me Xd
"So anyway I started blasting"
- The witch probably
Absolutely worth the dice machine gun at the end!
Loving this series so much, it's super fun to see the many different strategies you can employ.
Tyler: Guess I have to throw the dice! *starts packing 53 dice into a bag*
Scathach: *sweats intensely*
Me seeing Tyler have 22 dice: "alright that was a fun run, you're gonna kill the boss now, right?"
Tyler: ...
Me: "You're gonna kill the boss now, right...?"
Tyler: *SPAMMING DICE INTENSIFIES*
46:21 in this moment, tyler became more than a witch
he became a *level 20 rouge*
3:20
i've just realized something
when you freeze the marshmellow, the marshmellow freezes you!
Freezing ice enemies is generally not a great idea unless you also like 1s
@@Patashu Counterspell :)

From asdf movie, “what the hell man are you ever gonna run out of dice(muffins)?”
Tyler: “no, because I work at the dice factory”
And here we see, in his natural habitat, Tyler turning himself from a wizard into a die-powered minigun
I just love builds like this. The slow ramping is so much more fun and consistent than trying to out-damage your opponents.
Fun fact: The boss this time was the Irish trainer of heroes, queen of the land of shadows. Her name is pronounced roughly "Sca-hawk" (gotta love Irish pronunciation) and that spear she's holding is probably the Gae Bolg, a spear which when thrown from between the toes while standing in a stream will erupt into many barbs after piercing someone, killing them instantly and needing to be surgically removed from them.
Aliensrock/Tyler: "I want to play this completely different."
Also him: *plays the exact same way*
What do you mean, he's never done a throwing dice build before.
I can't really think of anyone who's done a throwing dice build before come to think of it
That ending was _incredible._
Tyler literally just stoned the final boss to death
Gotta be honest I wasn't that into it at first but it's been getting better with each video and this one was nuts because of the infinite build.
Final boss: burns 5 of tyler’s dice
Tyler: you fool. You absolute buffoon. * takes out 53 dice and starts yeeting them without mercy *
I'd love to see a witch run with duplicate and the one that increases damage for every dice rolled. If this is possible it seems like you can have infinite damage as long as you have 2 of the initial dice to get the duplicate.
INFINITE POWER!!!!!!
This was like the "1000 Needles" spell from Final Fantasy... BUT WITH DICE. Love it.
I had a strat to use a spell that when upgraded gives 4 dices but their all burn
Then replace it and get a lot of burning dices and the special thing is that burning dices do more damage to the enemy when trown
Masochism?
@@Timer102 no because if You trohw them it does 2 damage instead of 1 and it does'nt damage miself
Bad inglish i'm mexican
watching you yeet the final boss to death has been highlight of my day
Omfg.. Just throwing all the dice to finish the boss. I lost it lmao 🤣🤣
That was definition of "death by thousand paper cuts" right there.
As soon as the snowball started on floor 4 it was obvious how the game would end but it was worth it
This is the equivalent of when the Wizard multiclasses as a barbarian "Oh I've ran out of spells. Let me just throw this at you"
the dice throwing at the end is legendary
Witch sure sounds super fun when her version of Hall of mirrors says (+1 dice this battle) while Wizard (the enemy) is crying that his Hall of Mirrors adds 1 dice only for his next turn.
the boss: haha I am super powerful and can't be frozen or locked
hall of mirrors: I'm bout to end this man's whole career
13:51 is the evilest cackle i've heard in a while. especially from like, a real person. involuntarily, presumably.
This was amazing. Sad you want to avoid control but I understand why. Amazing video.
loved the dice machinegun ending!
I love your commentary so much tyler! It just seems like the magic touch on any game you play. Keep up the great work!
Been watching since you started luck be a landlord, first time ive absolutely died laughing, keep it up.
My soul can rest easy now that you've given into the insanity that is Hall of Mirrors for an episode
46:10
Johnny, fill up the Gatling gun
But Aleinsrock, we don’t have bulle-
Aleinsrock: Fill it…. *With DICE*
I am convinced that Tyler is a master at breaking any deck building strategy game, he somehow always manages to find the most absurd build possible
Leave it to Tyler to find a way to play WU control in a children’s game about sentient dice
Imagine Tyler being able to act on his opponent's turn though.. That's the true Azorious Control experience.
20:17 "8+8=18"
Beautiful math, Tyler.
Tyler, these video have been THE BEST for falling asleep to. Thank you! (I rewatch the next day at lunch to get the actual content)
-reverse undyne- scathach: I deal 12 damage, shock all of your equipment and end my turn.
Tyler: I deal 53... Oh wait, you don't have that much hp left
Tyler at the end.. “so anyway i started blastin’..”
I think a hilarious deck build would be hall of mirrors, and duplicates, and other cards of that nature, built around drawing ludicrous amounts of dice that get thrown at the enemies.
(Unless that's what he did, in which case future me will be laughing.)
My daily hit of Tyler has arrived. I've been scratching and fiending all day.
This is the power of Hall of Mirrors Requiem
That's an interesting idea for a Scathach boss fight, she's a mythical irish hero. (Although technically I think her apprentice is the one with the magic spear she's holding.)
Actually if I remember her apprentice gained his spear from her.
@@AliceIsSleepy Aaaah, the version I read didn't really mention where he got it from, that's cool~!~!
This was the most satisfying final battle yet
I've played dicey dungeons a lot and I'm really glad it's getting recognition
That Machine gun dice trowing at the end was satisfying.
One of the most disrespectful ways to take down a boss. I love it.
with all the insane numbers of dice, will roll ever be making a comeback? loved those videos!
“Oh no my equipment is shocked what ever will I do”
Definitely my favourite video of yours in a long while, this is hilarious
Glass Cauldron and Counter Spell would have had amazing synergy. Freeze an enemy's die, get a one, then hit the Counter Spell to lock the die that you froze. Stack it with other freezing spells and your opponent literally wouldn't be able to play.
Tyler: I have become duper of dice, destroyer of worlds.
46:18 This ending is wayy better then endgame
The million dice throw was amazing
The dicing of Diessac: Redicing
the boss trying to burn your die is the definition of "when you strike one down, two others take its place"
The Halloween side game witch path is like this except its a series of six puzzles where you need to figure out how to one-turn kill
That ending was funny 😂😂
This is why I hate the witch. It's either you find no damage equipment and the run is unwinnable or you find some way to break the game but it takes 10 minues for each fight
Yeah she's really clunky to play and my absolute least favorite. I'm glad to hear that I'm not an oddity
@@CowKirbo the easiest way to win with her is to stack poison builds. she's like auto-win tbh.
I had hall of mirrors on 5 with an upgraded slot and hall of mirrors in the starting slot, which gave me a +2 instantly for the second turn, which i can then make a +3 and replace by magic missile etc. Etc. And deal insane damage starting on turn 2.
What a way to go, crushed under a pile of dice
The dice machine gun. The ultimate weapon.
Helpful tip, if you bump a 6 you get a 6 and an extra “1” dice. Creates a dice.

Counterspell is great for locking 1s if someone’s frozen
Just do a bunch of freeze spells and counterspell 1 and they can’t move
