Problem 1: My gaming minivan is completely broken and not a single game can be played. Problem 2: I promised my children that they'd be able to game during our road trip over the long weekend. Problem 3: The long weekend is in 5 hours, we've gotta get going.

5 Hours to fix the Van? Man, you'll do anything to get out of starting WAN on time...
i know right it starts at 10 instead of like 5 where i live
Lol
good shot!
Bruh! 👍
THEY COULD HAVE INSTALLED WIRELESS DISPLAY WINDOWS SUPPORT THAT. WHY SO COMPLICATED LINUS. ANY AWAY YOUR KIDS NOT GOING TO PLAY HIGH LATENCY GAME ON TRAVEL ITS FINE FOR PORTABLE
Middle child suffering is universal LMAO
Nah I’m the youngest and I definitely suffered the most in our family from things not my fault
@@drew2626 Yeah, same lol
step #1 be an only child
step #2 just suffer due to yourself lol...
@@yigawaffle my older brother and parents seem to have beef but that’s because he’s an alcoholic roller operator and gets aggressive 😂
@@SimonBauer7 Best thing about being a single child, is you get whatever you want, worst thing you gotta deal with the family’s problems.
I love how Linus is with his kids - when they ask a bunch of questions he isn’t annoyed or upset exhausted by it, he simply answers their questions! I also enjoy the son; “that was unnecessarily complicated” lol
Microsoft pay tension to the jonger generation and fix you windows please
I do think some of the questions they were told to ask. But then it sounds like they asked more that were unexpected, and Linus just took it in stride.
I know what you're saying, and yes he does seem to be a good father.
But I can't imagine it being overwhelmingly common that a father would be shouting and or screaming in anger at his kids for asking questions.
@@colinofay7237 The other options are things like annoyance or frustration. Not necessarily yelling or anger.
Where I waiver a bit is that those sorts of emotions happen, and don't make someone a bad father. That said, you probably shouldn't put those moments out on video. They shouldn't be so frequent that you couldn't just leave them out.
He validates his kids with real responses. Very good parenting..
its so nice seeing all 5 of linus' children getting along
Alex knows how to be the favorite uncle.
Him trying to hook them up with more PCs was peak cool uncle behavior
heck yeah
Linus: "You're not helping!"
Alex: "Correction, I'm not helping YOU."
If Linus and his son were ok with it I would enjoy seeing him more on the channel doing stuff
The bit about the gloves was a good idea.
Honestly Linus's "family content" feels the healthiest kind of content for the kids I think I've ever seen on CZcams. I know Linus has gone back and forth on how much he wants them to appear on camera. But I think he's found a nice balance recently
I also heard that he pays them, which is also nice
@@unstabledefusionThat makes sense to me. LTT is a big company they're probably subject to labour laws on kids doing film shoots like tv shows and movies are.
And when his kids are on camera he doesn’t use their names helping keep some of their anonymity.
@@Dwarg91yeah I really respect that's he's made the effort to never say his kids names on camera
@@yikes710 what are you talking about? All 3 of the kids are like mini Asian Linus'
18:00 Small suggestion from working at a university that used to have desktops on the floor with power buttons on the front. You may want to set the power button action within windows to 'do nothing' and then make a shortcut to shut it down and a seperate one for hibernate(dont use sleep, it still requires power)
The power button will still turn on the computer, but by disabling the power button action in windows, it doesnt accidentally shut the computer down while gaming on a bumpy road, but still allows you to force a shutdown if you hold the power button.
Never had a button that janky that it would push down from some road bumps. He could just set the power button to hibernate and call it a day.
@23:12 Oldest child very quietly- "that what you get for being the middle child" 💀
The way linus looked back and laughed was great😂😂
Alex- you’re wrong. Most of car interiors is pulling on things and hoping the plastic clips don’t break but SOMETIMES they hide a screw in a completely illogical place!
That just means pull harder
befor they put trim eith tabs over that
I still have 2 m6 bolts that came out of the interior, somewhere, but everything is in place, and i can't find any place it would have come from, so it probably wasn't important (insert car falling apart when kicked meme)
I was pulling on the bumper of my car after having removed one more bolt a few times already, it's amazing where they think to hide them, eventually got them all by looking at which bit of the bumper still refused to bend 😅
1:49 “Second computer”
Never change Alex
24:33
18:10
Dude, second computer. Like you don't have a second one laying about
Alex is the poster child of the Child at Heart perk.
“[Alex], [Alex] never changes.”
Girl: "Yes we love each other"
Boy: "I won"
Wow, the middle child is great. She just keeps asking and asking and asking. Way to go kid, every new thing you learn makes you smarter. Don't let anyone take this away from you.
"I'm getting griefed by children" is a way of life when you're around them, Alex.
Kids are brutally honest without filtering.
I do believe they pick up more griefing skills being near the people they are usually near :D
Also I wouldn't be surprised they are taught to take it as well as they can deal it.
Deal it with a grin, take it with a smile.
Roll with the punches.
I see how that can build character. Toughen up your skin to take on the world later on.
@1:50 that was an "uncle Alex moment" right there lol. too funny.
18:08 has a lot of uncle energy
Absolutely, he sounds exactly like me when I am with my niece. My sister would make me pay for the second computer though.
It's nice to see all four of Yvonne's children working together
Justin being so excited about having an IR emitter on his phone is what I imagine I sound like when I talk about random tech stuff with my friends lmao
Like NFC on modern phones 😂
IR blaster is simply so cool. So useful in random hotel rooms
Alex is definitely fulfilling "I'm the cool uncle, it's not my problem to be a good example" quota- just like with Elijah
LTT is the only family YT channel I support
yea all the other ones like abuse the kids
You support them because they aren't a family yt channel. If you removed the kids from the videos (ie Alex and Justin did everything they did) the video still would have been good. They were a bonus to the content not driving it
@@alexdavis9324 That is the most narrow minded self report I've read in a LONG time. The way Linus goes about being both patient and firm handed with his children is something that many young and older people alike can relate to and learn from. It's a breath of fresh air. The world is bleak and seeing a few smiling kids can really brighten a day. The reason you're watching is not the reason other people are watching.
@@OldManYellsAtClouds it was critical but it wasn't negative it was constructive i think @bknightly28 doesn't see the difference
what about the Outdoor Boys?
i have no idea why but just the "alex" at 16:18 is so funny to me lol
"So we're not up a creek without a paddle! Right, kids??"
..."what?"
Such a dad moment.
18:13 “It's both of you now, the safety glasses on wrong.” - says the man without any safety glasses on whatsoever.
lol, so true. Also love how men never really grow up 😄
hearing the kid call em "apps" instead of programs aged me more than any joke about floppy disks and hanging up a phone ever could.
Indeed. These days I try to go with 'software' and 'application' . Unless I'm specifically referring mobile only, and other I still avoid it. Somewhat irrational, but in the immortal and often repeated words of Daniel Jackson " That's just how I feel about it, what do you think? "
(No actual need to respond I just felt the obligation to put the complete line)

I loved that. That's how Linus felt hearing 'rizz' or sometime first time. (Iirc him explaining hearing in on wan show was how I learned it's meaning)
The way Linus explained patiently to his daughter how the things worked and what they did is so sweet, usually at that age I’d get “Stop asking so many questions it’s annoying” but Linus just took his time and let her ask
As an engineer, the 5 why's is how you start failure analysis.
I don't get to answer many kid questions as my nieces and nephews aren't old enough but I'm really looking forward to that as I love explaining why and how hahaha
The love you have for your family is awesome and I feel like your crew is like uncles to them .. they will learn so so much from you all
"Are you smart enough to do that" -things I wish I could say to customers
Lmao
Same!
Yeah seriously!
Why would you ask rhetorical questions? You just know the answer is no...
"Do you feel confident enough in your ability to perform that task"?
16:03 "Getting griefed by children" while the kids meow in the background is hilarious
they're gonna be menaces in their teens
As a father myself, I love to see you being such a good dad, and your kids are so adorable!
Great Wolf Lodge!!! Welcome to Wisconsin!! We love to have you here!
10:04 guys read the letter the viewer sent along with the little receiver. it's both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. love goes out to the dad and his son!
Either I'm having troubles finding his website/youtube channel, or it's some.. interesting art kind of things?
@@Nightykk i don't think he's actually selling it as far as i understand. it was mainly for his own use and a couple that he sent to LTT in hopes that they would maybe find some use for it
@@Nightykk huh i just found their website as well. not sure what to think of it tbh 😂
either it's somebody else or the domain is spelled differently. linus is sadly covering it with his finger probably to prevent it from crashing or because he too saw the ... um ... artsy thing.
@@timkeklinker They don't want to DDoS a random site even if the exposure would benefit them. Also, it's a prototype so Linus is cautious putting the creator's site when it's not a real product yet.

I thought the same thing. 🤣
What that meant to be cheap??
@@garystinten9339nah, cheesy, because it’s such a cheesy lame slogan
Asus may want to rethink their branding if even children are making fun of it.
I love the Linus family content. It really shows how good of a dad Linus is, and the team (including the little ones) works well together.
For cooling, most vehicles have their pressure vents located in the “trunk” area, that could be used to exhaust the heat.
Bless my dad. I just got a PS3 for Christmas and immediately the next day we had to hit the road to go to Louisiana to see my grandparents. He knew how excited I was so he rigged up a tiny TV and my PS3 to go from power from our van. If we burned like four fuses on the trip but it was so much fun and it was an incredible memory.
I think we all would've wanted a gaming minivan for long road trips... Linus's kids are living the dream
I dont like gameing a lot sinse dotmine has 0 players now
sure but i think i would have preferred train for longer trips instead of car.

11:00 if the glove gets caught in it and you get really unlucky, your local emergency room and trauma surgeon are going to have a bad day
no kidding.
Deburing a sharp piece of metal that can be held far away is one of the few times I would wear gloves with a bench grinder. If the wheel grabs that piece of metal it may take a finger with it.
And then you learn the other meaning of "degloving"
@@legionof0ne441 no gloves on grinder.
Take those risks of a small cut from the metal over the risks of degloving or broken bones.
I'll put it to you this way: In university I took a course on forensic biology. The class slides were full of pictures of dead bodies in various states of injury and decay, but one of the few things the prof wouldn't put in there were pictures of the aftermath of degloving on a live person. Horrific way to get hurt.
Love that the kids are involved ❤
11:12 man if i have kids in the future im looking forward to these moments, teaching them about stuff you are interested in and them just absorbing it.
Loved these moments with my dad.
11:46 I love the father daughter bonding over one asking and the other providing the wisdom ❤
I love the family episodes for that same reason!

“I won!”
That was hilarious. Kids has great comic timing.

Man, I follow Linus since he was closer to his son's age. It warms my hearth, really beautifull thing to see happen, such beautuful kids, and a great family.
11:13 she's a curious, enthusiastic adhd gremlin, definitely linus's kid lmao

Seeing the kids help is always adorable. And kudos to Alex for the glove safety note. There's a lot of people who wouldn't think NOT to wear gloves because they're used to thinking of gloves as necessary safety equipment in all situations.
Really love Linus' kids being old enough to not just be on camera but actually do stuff. Alex and the son makes for an amazingly chaotic duo.
23:08 "thats what you get for beign the middle child" LOL.
"It's not about how you feel." Damn, that's a boss's kid alright.
7:19 What got me wheezing with laughter was the "What?" after Linus said "up a creek without a paddle." 🤣🤣
Idk what it is but I find it heartwarming to see Dad Linus in videos. Just has the energy of a dad who cares and will absolutely embarrass his kids constantly.
19:33 I was waiting for someone to notice. Convert your rearview to digital.
Exactly what I was thinking! My boss has a camera on the back of his camping trailer and a wireless display for it in his truck. I'm sure there's a wired solution that would work as well.
Some places still require fully physical rear view mirrors. Sometimes is allowed to have reflective with a corner that has a camera display.
This is way better than "Pimp my Ride". Makes more sense, too. In a local car show I saw the KIA EV9. With turnable seats so that one parent can sit facing back in direction of the kids and have direct interaction. I know that's a new and expensive car but I'd love to see this or similar mods in that kind of car. Like using the cars 230v or 12v system for the entertainment, adding a proper screen to the root, putting 3rd party solar solutions on the roof, etc. But great video 🙂
Linus’s family is so freaking wholesome! I love these videos!
"Children with bench grinders and sharp knives" is gonna be the name of my next album
Linus in WAN show: "I don't want my kids getting too spoiled..."
Linus on main videos: "My kids can't go on a roadtrip without a full 3-monitor gaming den!"
I don't know man, that's not really spoiled. Like spoiled kids would have uncontrolled access to their devices. Linus could just shut the PCs down if the kids misbehave or something like that
They're in an old minivan playing together on a single PC, it's not a private jet with individual ipads and a theater.
To be fair, the kids were involved in building this, so they learned something and will value it more
@@abdulrahmanalhasbani1445this very much. And the computer's config and content are easier to manage, and the screen is always visible for spot checks. That's one of the things I really like about how he has the family computer room set up.
It was a real pleasure watching you involve your kids in this process, I enjoy your videos even though some of the. technical stuff is a bit over my head 😊
This is sick to see. Throws me some personal nostalgia too! My dad, my brother and I were the first people to put a xbox (first generation) into a Semi-Truck for a Semi-Truck Convention in the early 2000s.
I never realized that Linus's kids look like if him and Yvonne had kids
That's because they are kids that are his and Yvonne's
That is infact how genetics works.
😱 YOU’RE RIGHT!!!
LTT watcher discovers genetics
They are beautiful kids. Most often mixed couples had cute kids, mostly because they look less like their white parent. Mixing is good and healthy for the gene pool!

They turn out to be pretty cool people you'd actually want a conversation with😂😂
IN MY DAY KIDS HAD ONLY VIOLENCE AND BOOKS TO OCCUPY THEMSELVES!
There's also the time my parents said the ride was too short to put music on, so me and my siblings (there's four of us) spent the next half an hour singing 'the song that gets on everybody's nerves' nonstop. I'm pretty sure we had music on the drive back.
Lookin' out the window and old cassette tapes were the entertainment provisions. 😅

Castle crashers is eternal
I love how you are spouting all kinds of technical terms your kids dont seem to understand but you kind of have to explain it for the audience, quite funny to me
I imagine the kids are used to their dad spewing white noise when talking about tech again.
Then again, they seem genuinely curious and might pick up more than we realize.
Maybe they do understand half of it.
Also, if asking a question and getting a boring white noise answer, why ask another question, and another? Maybe they really do want to know.
I love how Justin is jut like "I can make that, no prob."
Thank you for being a good example of a father, well done.
Reminds me of road tripping down the west coast with my family back in 2003. My dad fabbed up a portable 10ish inch 480p screen to mount on an Original Xbox. Looked like a ridiculous laptop!
Many hours playing Fusion Frenzy and Midtown Madness in the back of my parents Doge Caravan. Good memories!
Now, 2 decades later, just took a flight & enjoyed Red Dead Redemption on my Steam Deck. As cool as that is, it will never be as cool as my dad’s jerry rigged OG Xbox setup.
@3:56 I also may have giggled at poopy cables
