When Popeyes introduced their chicken sandwich and everyone was making a big deal about it. I didn’t get it. Then after the noise died down. I finally got myself one. It was heaven in my stomach.

It’s gotta be Popeyes. Even their fish sandwich recently was really good! I had the one from McDonald’s and mine was terrible. It was like and old piece of chicken over fried.
in my hometown, there was a small local fast food place that only sold chicken burger and they were the greatest thing I tasted, the chicken actually taste like chicken, the cheese melts like it supposed to melt and the fries were amazing, sadly they closed down and move over to another city

Popeyes from my experience isn't as consistent as chick fil a, but when popeyes is fresh it's amazing.

I'm sure the Popeye's chicken sandwich is amazing, I've just never been lucky enough to get served a proper one. They've always been freezer burnt or completely messed up. It has the potential for greatness, but unfortunately all my local Popeye's restaurants are unreasonably pathetic.

Here in Tallahassee FL, I've had most of these sandwiches, but none of them compare to Lindy's fried chicken sandwich. Their sandwich is by far the best in town. Fried boneless breast, hawaiian bun, mustard, mayo, and pickle. By far, the best in town.

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".
Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.
I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

I tried it, but maybe it was the quality of the local Popeye's I went to but it didn't impress me. Also #1 I think is overrated, plus I rather avoid hate chicken if I can.

Because I'm from Australia, I reckon the KFC Zinger burger is the best chicken burger out there because it has the right amount of spice and the chicken is nice and juicy with the classic KFC crunch.

Been eating at Chic fil a for years and recently tried Popeyes. Chic fil a seems dried out and over cooked, while Popeyes is fresh juicy meaty. I’ve tried everything on the Popeyes menu thinking I’d find one food item that I would not care for. Been pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed all that Popeyes has to offer. Popeyes should be number one.

I like all chicken sandwiches and they are delicious and mouthwatering to an extent, but KFC’s chicken sandwich is my favorite simply because of the crispy texture. Not to mention how delicious their original chicken sandwich, known as the Chicken Littles are.

Where’s Hardee’s big chicken sandwich?! That one is soo good! It has lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, and I always add bacon. Awesome sandwich.
What is better or best is really pretty individual, so most comments are dumb…fine to say which one you prefer, but really folks, who made you the decider of what is “best” or even “not good”….but I appreciate hearing about some of the contenders I would not otherwise know about. All of these must be worth a try to have made this list. Its great to have awesome choices now, and that chains decided to up their game. I recently have had the Burger King, Hardee’s, KFC, CHIk-Fil-a, and Popeye’s versions. All were terrific. A ranking would not be helpful, because, as with most fast food places, the consistency can vary a lot from visit to visit.

Does anybody else *disagree* with Chick-fil-A as their number one choice? I’m also surprised to not see churches chicken sandwich at least at the bottom of the list. 😝. I liked that sandwich. But as far as freshness goes, I’d say Canes, which I tried recently for the first time. It’s sooo fresh, made to order (worth the wait) and NOT so salty like some of the others on the list.

@@SamuelTucker12 it’s a shame, where I live the Popeyes sandwiches are trash most of the time (Not Every time). The chic fil a sandwiches are usually always juicy and fresh (not every time). And the Zaxbys signature sandwiches are always hot, juicy, and fresh. I usually just go with zaxbys because I know exactly what I’m getting every time. It’s all about consistency.
I got a chicken sandwich from Hardee’s and it was really good! It had mayonnaise and pickles on it.

barely got around to trying popeyes and chick-fil-a a year ago. chick-fil-a sandwich was small for the price. flavor wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be. after that i expected popeyes to be the same experience and it was absolutely delicious.
