Allen Iverson calling Chuck Hayes free throw a travel at :18 seconds will always be hilarious. Even the play by play guys roasted him. "Thats one of those lane violation shots right there". 💀💀💀 " you don't even wanna look at a shot like that" 😂
This video always makes me laugh. I'm having a bad day or week, just watch this video and I smile. Even after seeing it maybe a thousand times now, it is still funny.
Gils Arena brought me here. Kenyon Martin bruh😂. He really said they did it on purpose so chuck can go to the line ON HIS OWN in front of thousands of people. And they did it so they could laugh at home boy. #gilsarena
I won't defend Chuck's free throw shooting, but I'll say this - he's in the NBA because he plays with more heart than everyone else. Hayes is one of the hardest working basketball players you'll ever see.
As soon as Rachel said throwback to this day in 2007 for Chuck Hayes today on The Jump I immediately knew it was this lol. T Mac subtlety saying at least we won this game was great, too.
He became a great free throw shooter later on in his career, it's still ugly but he's making it consistently. Hard work pays off, now only if DJ would get to work, we'd make the finals...
@@gaminginstinct1532 I mean I would think an NBA player could shoot a free throw in a normal manner not hesitating like it's his first time on a court an doesn't understand the form and flow of a shot lol
@@whitemamba0089 bruh hes not hesitating its just his way of shooting freethrow. Other than that he is a good defender on his time. Playing basketball has nothing to do on how you shoot freethrow.
"Kenyon Martin came over and started laughing at me." Let's see, Hayes shoots 62% ft on his career and KMart had 63%. It's not like Kenyon is a free throw expert by any means.
god bless chuck hayes...no oone else can pull off a travel during a free throw shot...the nba just isnt the same without him...just like when johnson and jordan retired.....but hopefully his comeback will be better...get welll soon chuck.
Imagine, Game 7 of NBA Finals, no time left in the game and Chuck Hayes' freethrow determined the outcome of the game. Just like Max Kellerman's favorite line, "The fate of the universe is on the line....lol
@@crockerakahops90sjumpmantexas ...Its an easy shot. It just takes practice to make it under pressure. Nba players can 100 free-throws in a row without pressure.
Well free throws are only one of many aspects of basketball so you could be terrible at one thing but be great at everything else and still be an effective player.
I saw him play at Modesto Christian HS. He was a BEAST there and at Kentucky. I thought he was going to the next "great" NBA player. He's a solid player, but he's no Kobe, Durant or LeBron. It just shows how rare those talents really are. - Only a few players have come from Central CA in twenty years: Hayes. Scott Brooks. John Gianelli. Gerald Madkins, (I played against him in HS. He was VERY FAST on defense) Erwin Mueller. Chris Jefferies. Greg Deane. Torraye Braggs. Bruce Bowen. Not many.
46% free throw shooter back then. It definitely was useful at drawing lane violations. It looks like he's since changed his form and does 68% now, so YES, this man that shoots bad free throws is now in fact a better free throw shooter than Dwight Howard after just a few years of work.
No fake "lols" or "rofl", I think I cracked a rip when he shuffled his feet prior to the free throw. One thing I'll never understand is how some NBA players can rise ten feet above the rim, or do a crazy-ass layup or a 360 slam, yet the process of actually making a free throw is daunting.
"Ey Ref! Thats a Travel!" lmao

Even in NBA 2K12, Chuck Hayes sure gives me a smile with those freethrows.
Such disrespect on him... I think it was 2k11 maybe... he was the starting center and they didn't even have him on the team

K. Martin is a fool for making him go to the line. 😂

iverson be like what a waste of time!!!!
every player has weaknesses, but dam this guy is an absolutely killer on defense he literally can guard any position and by guard as in shut them down
I love how the opposition players run slightly too early as Chuck delays, finally releases while they're just standing under the basket
ai was like boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
It's amazing to me that a person who shoots like this was even able to make it to the NBA, much less play in it.
he was a good ass defender my guy

Easiest shot in basketball. Boggles my mind how these professionals struggle so much at it.
So you would have a 100% shooting percentage at the free throw line.
Got it.
Free throws are not easy don't get me wrong I was a good free-throw shooter growing up but nothing easy about it at all.
@@crockerakahops90sjumpmantexas Its easy. Called free throws. They are free. Easy. No player had an excuse to be lower than 70 percent.
