Scott, yes it does. From one bee keeper website I found, it was advised not to heat it up above 95F because then honey starts losing its properties. I was never a fan myself of leaving honey in hot tea, I eat it on the side.

When using raw honey as a sweetener, it's best to let the temperature of the tea cool to at least or below 116°F to avoid destroying the health benefits of the honey. Otherwise using regular store bought honey is just a sweetener, but great recipe! Thanks for sharing.

I would ad 2 spoon of Tumeric. Also I would use the fresh root vs powder. I don’t trust companies that grind stuff.

Can we directly eat turmeric powders without adding other ingredients like coconut oil or honey or black peppers and still get the same results?

Hi, you might not see this but if you do, I’m really curious to know the answer. I read that turmeric isn’t that good for men because it lowers sperm count and infertility? I’m just wondering if I give this to my bf or my brother, would things go wrong with them later on in the future as far as fertility goes? Lol it’s a little weird question but it’s also a real one and I think it’s important to know. So pleasee let me know your thoughts because u seem really educated on this. Thank you!!

I looked at some other articles and they clarified that it’s actually causes infertility when taken in a PILL form, bot the powder! So nevermind they should be fine with the tea :) thank you Joy

Vashtie Hardat well I think the best thing to do is look for the source in the article to make sure it’s not merely an opinion and does link up with a reliable source of data. 👍🏻

I make golden milk every day. I use grass fed milk or any other milk ,add thinly grated raw turmeric and ginger and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes and then strain it .I have this with half tsp of course ground pepper. We take it very night .They say adding pepper makes bi availability by 2000 times .and I personally feel that it benefits by drinking in night

That's amazing! So glad you're enjoying it Reena!
If you're using fresh turmeric, you actually don't need the black pepper though! The whole fresh turmeric has a lot of phytonutrients like turmerones that aid in the absorption of the curcumin. But if you like the spicy taste of it, by all means, go for it! :)
