I suffer from pain in my back from time-to-time and it turmeric goes to work immediately when I add black pepper, and a drop or two of organic oil, like coconut, or olive oil.
You should add black pepper to this recipe! Black pepper increases the health benefits of turmeric by 1000%...literally!
That is true it activates the tumeric to work especially for full benefits.
Ty 🥰 🥰 🥰
2000% actually
What’s the ratio?
Joshua Nuss can you use cayenne pepper in place of black pepper?

I used 1/2 cup sweet coconut almond milk , 1 tsp coconut butter , 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp ginger powder, 1 tsp cinnamon powder and honey . I blended it all using my coffee mixer device. Blended it right in !!! Very ayurvedic ... therapeutic indeed. :) I want to top it off with Saffron next :)
Do add pinch of black pepper it actually increases absorption of turmeric :)

Finally got to the point. thank you
Directorz Inc Music & Media you’re welcome, enjoy the recipe 😀
Where is the best place to order or buy the Organic powder Turmeric and Ginger tea?
I enjoyed you video. Thanks I also drink it every often
Erzsebet Deer glad to hear that!
Thank you for this. Sounds good. I'm wondering if heating the raw honey over a certain temperature doesn't destroy its vital enzymes. Maybe add it after the temperature comes down a bit?
Scott, yes it does. From one bee keeper website I found, it was advised not to heat it up above 95F because then honey starts losing its properties. I was never a fan myself of leaving honey in hot tea, I eat it on the side.
Been drinking tumeric tea for the last two years. I started to help relieve lower intestinal pain (diverticular pain)and it helps massively. The pain comes back if I don't drink the tea for more than two days, so I drink it daily and it seems to do the job. It's the only dietary regimen that I feel compelled to maintain due it's pronounced effect.
i know I'm pretty randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to stream newly released tv shows online ?
What if i use turmeric and ginger root, what amount should I put in?
I love this! So amazing :) i went and bought organic fresh turmeric root and its awesome.
So happy to hear that! It's super yummy and nourishing :)
When using raw honey as a sweetener, it's best to let the temperature of the tea cool to at least or below 116°F to avoid destroying the health benefits of the honey. Otherwise using regular store bought honey is just a sweetener, but great recipe! Thanks for sharing.
Yes, it's important to be mindful about cooking or heating honey too high. Usually after blending, the temperature has come down though :)
Thank you!
What can we use besides coconut oil say if we don’t have any? Because I heard fats do help with absorption. Thank you.
Looking delicious i will try it
We have been using this for years
Thanks for sharing
I 've been wondering if it's wrong to use powdered ginger and turmeric
Now I m gonna try ☺☺
Not at all. As long as it's 100% organic powdered ginger or turmeric with no additives.
I drank turmeric tea when I was diagnosed with costochondritis! (GOOGLE IT, very painful) It helped me each day. Thanks for sharing this recipe, mine was a bit different. I just tried your recipe...its very good. Thanks for sharing. ☕
God bless!
Peace, Lynne 🍃💜🍃
WoW i should try this
Great!! Thank you for sharing this recipe
Glad you enjoyed it!
I understand if you drink to much it can have an adverse effect, is this true and what is the recommended per day consumption
Love it🌹Thankyou😊
This is exactly the ingredients I use to make my tea, but I do the fresh turmeric and I always thought you had to add a pinch of pepper so I would add that. I whisk all the ingredients over the stove to incorporate and heat up. It's so delicious.
When using whole fresh turmeric, you don't need to add black pepper as the root contains active compounds that help with the absorption of the beneficial curcuminoids! The beauty of whole foods :)
Love it!! So when do you need to use the black pepper, when it's in powder form or not at all?
Pepper is so good for us why not.
I didn't know this thank you all so much. I cant wait to try all this
@@joyoushealth Girlll you eat so healthy, no wonder why your hair is thick😍
I just got one question when you mixed it in. That blunder? Was that boiling hot water or just regular hot water
This tastes delicious! And so healing :-)
Glad you love it!
You're lying 🤢 I hate the taste of ginger 🫚
Thanks for explaining what every ingredient does for our bodies. This info motivates me to try your recipes!
Do you mix all with hot boiling water or cold boiling water?
if you leave out the black pepper, you could just as well leave out the turmeric. without the piperine in black pepper, your body cannot absorb the curcumin in the turmeric
Thank you
I recently started drinking golden milk. I use pretty much everything you're using here except I use rice milk and I do add a pinch of black pepper. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it is. I'm always looking for natural ways to boost my immune system and this tea is excellent for that.🙂
Since she adda coconut milk pepper is not necessary..turmeric plus fats or turmeric plus pepper
Black pepper is a must have when using turmic . Turmic will NOT be absorbed without it !!
@jennymoore7623 I agree. I did my research thoroughly and that's what I discovered which is why I add pepper.
Looks fab
Thanks!
Hi everyone! Here is the full recipe: www.joyoushealth.com/blog/2016/10/25/super-easy-turmeric-ginger-tea/
Joyous Health I notice that you make more recipes about ginger do you like it ?🙂
hahah I sure do! It's so good for you and perfect for the cooler months up here in Canada!
Joyous Health thanks ☺️
How do you make it with fresh ingredients
Can I make the tea then put the rest in the fridge to drink the next day?
Hi, Brian here, i must say, i have only jest started with Ginger and turmeric, very nice to take, i hope it will stop some of my dreadful pain i get with my hands, CAN YOU SAY HOW LONG BEFORE I GET SOME RELIEF. tHOMAS
I would recommend cutting out dairy, gluten and sugar if you suffer from any pain as well as include foods like turmeric and ginger. I hope that helps you!
I have RA and am trying to incorporate foods that are anti-inflammatory so this is perfect! It's tastes delicious but mine didn't have that golden yellow color. What did I do wrong? ☹️
Thats amazing! Did you peel off the skin and use fresh turmeric?
I love this tea 💋
HI joyous, I really enjoyed your video. that looks like a plastic blender, does the plastic leach when you put hot liquids in it?
Great question! Vitamix containers are made with BPA free plastic which has been tested for estrogenic/androgenic activity and was shown to be safe :)
Anastasiia Potsiluiko go to a more ethnic / Hispanic store the it all fresh or powdered.
Curious about why I don't add black pepper? Go to this video: czcams.com/video/15dgwHOHNAw/video.html at 6:05 and you'll have my answer :)
i use turmeric to whiten my teeth. I melt some coconut oil and then add turmeric to make a paste and leave it on for 2 minutes.
Perfect! I've gotta give it a try :)
it does stain the toothbrush though ahaha
lmao.. "it does stain the toothbrush"... but not my teeth...
I use Turmeric, coconut oil and baking soda mixed together to remove plaque from my teeth, whiten my teeth, prevent infections and help heal any cavities ( which I have done). I wish I had known this twenty years ago, I could have saved myself a lot of unnecessary stress. Even though it stains my tooth brush, it works great for healthier gums and teeth.
You’re right it’s great for whitening teeth or if you have a tooth ache put some on it, I add peppermint drops to mine to taste better
can you tell me if you use the fresh turmeric and ginger what are the portions?
You can use either! I like to use fresh as much as possible since it comes with a wealth of other nutritious benefits from the phytonutrients in it but it will work with either. You can find the recipe here: www.joyoushealth.com/26656-blog-super-easy-turmeric-ginger-tea
Thank you. Love your video. Easy recipe
Thank you🙏 🇬🇧👍
Is it safe to pour boiling water into a “plastic” blender?
Haha You're intro along with your hairstyle makes it cute.. Good job! 👍👏🤭😊❤
Thanks!
I like you and your turmeric tea really..
Alberto Mariano ah thanks! 🥰
Dear lady, since I am using powder, shall I just use a spoon and stir stir stir instead?
My name is Joy :) Yes you can do that.
Did I miss the part where you added the ginger?
Go straight to the point.
yay! today I opened my spice drawer and thought of using ginger and turmeric...thanks for this recipe! I'll make it tonight :D!
You're welcome! Enjoy!
Can i use instead of water soy milk?
And is it good before sleep?
I'm not a huge fan of soy-based products unless they're fermented just because they're usually derived from GMOs otherwise. You can definitely use coconut milk or almond milk though! Yes, its okay to enjoy before bed too if you don't find turmeric and ginger to be too stimulating for you.
So I can use the coconut oil or the black pepper to aid in absorption????
You can use either but you don't have to because this recipe calls for the whole turmeric root. There is coconut butter in this recipe which contains fat so no need to add extra oil.
I take a turmeric pill every day, and juice ginger in my daily green juice also. I'd like to juice fresh turmeric but I don't want to stain my juicer worse than it already is!
Also, raw manuka honey is great but I use it sparingly because of the cost!
It will stain everything it comes into contact with but I find a good scrub with hot water and soap can get most of it out. If not, it's a well-loved juicer and blender! ;)
I tried this tea recipe with the turmeric (etc) that I already had in my cabinet that I purchased from the grocery store. It was delicious, I will have ordered the organic powders but it will take be a week before I get them. Are their any health benefits in using the turmeric etc out the grocery store or will I be wasting my money.
organic pls. turmeric is like ginseng, it needs nutrient
i have a question......can i add the turmeric, ginger and coconut oil to my filter coffee? ..like when i add the coffee and add these ingredients and let them brew?..just wondering
Jude Gharaibeh I would add these ingredients after you brew your coffee
Hello, I love ginger turmeric tea and would like to know if I can mix dandelion root with my ginger tea?
Absolutely! I think it would be great for the liver and super tasty.
Hi Joy! I have a question - can you recommend a website that I could purchase organic turmeric and ginger? I live in a small town and don't have access to a health food store. Thanks!
Check out amazon.com. They tend to have everything! It also might be worth talking to your local grocery store manager to see if they can order some in. :)
DA LW chinese or Indian store usually have it!
Znaturalfoods.com most items if not all are organic and kosher
I would ad 2 spoon of Tumeric. Also I would use the fresh root vs powder. I don’t trust companies that grind stuff.
Isaac Resek I love fresh, but there are some reputable companies. Have your checked out Chas Organics? They are legit and their spices are AMAZING
Can we directly eat turmeric powders without adding other ingredients like coconut oil or honey or black peppers and still get the same results?
Yes but black pepper Greatly increases absorption
Everything is great.,Presenting the ingredients is quite blur.
So does turmeric still have benefits without pepper?
Yes absolutely!
Why are you straining when using powder
Mine didnt look like that mine came out brown and i had to add sugar
Can I pour hot water in my cup, then ground ginger , turmeric and coconut oil in it and put a lid over it to steep Then add honey?
Shan yep!
Omg this is the best...I can do this...daily...yes...
Enjoy!
The video was clear and clean cut thank you.
@@reginabroughton5917 Thank you! :)
Can I drink this tea more then once a day?
Yes absolutely! Whatever makes you feel good :)
Hi, you might not see this but if you do, I’m really curious to know the answer. I read that turmeric isn’t that good for men because it lowers sperm count and infertility? I’m just wondering if I give this to my bf or my brother, would things go wrong with them later on in the future as far as fertility goes? Lol it’s a little weird question but it’s also a real one and I think it’s important to know. So pleasee let me know your thoughts because u seem really educated on this. Thank you!!
Vashtie Hardat can you please post the research link and I will take a look. 👍🏻
I looked at some other articles and they clarified that it’s actually causes infertility when taken in a PILL form, bot the powder! So nevermind they should be fine with the tea :) thank you Joy
Vashtie Hardat well I think the best thing to do is look for the source in the article to make sure it’s not merely an opinion and does link up with a reliable source of data. 👍🏻
I love it , I must start drinking more .
Very good , drink twice daily never see your doctor again , i drink 4 times a day , been many years my health is supper strong ,my wife said so.
camera duong that’s amazing good for you!
video begins at 2:12
Can you store in the fridge?
Nnamdi Oriuwa yes you can, enjoy!
I make golden milk every day. I use grass fed milk or any other milk ,add thinly grated raw turmeric and ginger and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes and then strain it .I have this with half tsp of course ground pepper. We take it very night .They say adding pepper makes bi availability by 2000 times .and I personally feel that it benefits by drinking in night
That's amazing! So glad you're enjoying it Reena!
If you're using fresh turmeric, you actually don't need the black pepper though! The whole fresh turmeric has a lot of phytonutrients like turmerones that aid in the absorption of the curcumin. But if you like the spicy taste of it, by all means, go for it! :)
Hi. What amount of grated turmeric and ginger do you use?
