When Mom turned 60 she bought a MG midget. When I'd visit my folks I'd give her my Fairmont keys and I'd take the MG's. One visit I went out for a late night drive. I got on the Interstate loop around Columbus. A double trailer rig was blocking me getting one.....so as soon as the 2nd trailer cleared me.....I made a hard left to go around this slow truck. Well Ohio allows TRIPLE trailers and I found myself under that 3rd trailer. The top was down so I saw it quick and moved back. If Mom was still here with us I'd look at this mod....but both are gone now. Those little cars are fun. Thx
35 years ago I bought a set on K&Ns and chrome panckes for my '72 Spriget; 1st time I lowered the bonnet the aft pancake ( I was promised by the sales rep they would clear) dented it - so I MacGyvered the stock filters and made sheet metal lids - same induction sound as the pancakes , but must flow more. Still have the Spriget.

The EX wife said to get rid of it and a month later she followed... A Steve had turned up at her workplace 4 years before so I didn't feel bad. Our Daughter loves this story of course.

Happy to find your channel MIke. I have a Bug Eye Sprite that I bought to restore with my Daughter for her "take to the car show" car. Found a really nice 1974 Miget with bad floor pans from a leaking soft top for a parts car. I'm going to swap the disk to the Bug Eye and was wondering what else I should consider swapping to the Bug Eye?
