Loved seeing all of the original band members together.
A l epoque je les écoutez pas trop mais j aimais leur musique bien rythmé
Back when I was in high school, in the 1970's, we took a school field trip into Manhattan -- the American Museum of Natural History. Well, back in those days, the Hayden Planetarium was running a laser light show, called "Laserium." It was basically a laser show, set to music of all types. About a third of the way into the show, this song started blasting out of the BIG sound system they had in the planetarium, with an incredible laser show to go along with it. I don't think anyone was seated during Shining Star... all of us kids were up and dancing and really groovin' on it. Every time I hear Shining Star, it brings back that memory. Good times for sure.
What a fantastic memory! I can relate. I was a kid when this came out💫🌠✨
WOW!👏🏾♥️

All the times I've seen this group live to see them one more time in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, priceless. To all the members who have passed and gone on rest in peace thank you for your wonderful music Earth Wind and Fire.
The people in the audience are watching the O.G. 9 perform perhaps EW&F's greatest hit ever, and 95% of them are sitting in their seats the entire time. SMDH.
Mostly white folk that couldn't dance lol
They still have it. What a good group they are.
grin and bear it - You know this is 20 years ago...

I am singing shining star & dancing...come on star get in the damn car
Wow! That’s the old line up; it’s hard to find videos with all of the early EW&F legends when they are older.
The vocalist has some serious chops.
I like how Al McKay jumps into that guitar solo, and they cut to... Larry Dunn on the keyboard. :/
Maaaan...! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a clear, full video of Al taking that solo. You’d be hard pressed to find it anywhere on CZcams.
@@RoninAli1 Pretty close here. czcams.com/video/0NIZYykdlzQ/video.html
@@multicamzilla4669 I have this DVD. Yes that’s an easy one...but still appreciated.

REESE ! GREATEST SINGER EVER
I miss Maurice
Don’t worry! You can still hear him on the radio.
Why isn't Maurice singing the verses here? Was it because of his Parkinsons disease?
I believe so. He looked so fragile.
Yes. He had been dealing with it for for years at this point. That’s why he stopped touring.
Best song ever with the worst crowd ever.
Se fosse um baile tava todo mundo dançado… um bando de ricaços sem swing…
If it ain't Maurice, it ain't EWF.
Who is playing the sax on this song?
Andrew Woolfolk RIP
Andrew brought me to the real shining 🌟 star and now my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I just learned of his passing a few weeks ago and was sad he never knew what an impact he had on my life. We worked together in early 80s and he came into my office, closed the door and stood looking at me; then said God is wooing me 👀 Really Andrew...God is wooing me 🤪 and he had quite a lot to say afterwards- which truly got me thinking outside this world. Shortly after the company folded, but we were given a Bible. Oh brother I thought I'll never read it. It ended up reading me!
I want to hear this masterpiece in the voice of Maurice. I don't want to hear Philip's singing voice.
Maurice, although there, was ill. Those who appreciate him/care about his well-being wouldn't want him to strain himself. That's no doubt why Philip Bailey sang the lead.
Maurice White was suffering from Parkinson’s disease at this time.
Maurice was dealing with Parkinson, my friend. Which he later died from. REECE fulfilled his destiny, he was a true mentor in everyway. Thank you Maurice, one of a kind!
Got to love those painfully offbeat, lackadaisical hand claps from the audience. What a waste of precious talent and energy performing for the uninspired, disinterested, blasé group in that audience.
Horrible audience I would have been up front jamming n sweating
❤ yes 🙌
Stuff like this makes me about 10% less "racist." At least temporarily.
U think ur so goofy for that 💀💀
weirdo
Racism reveals so much about yourself. Imagine hating someone because of the colour of their skin, that says a lot about yourself. What you put out is what's inside you. Heal!
@@jjgeek4831 If race were merely skin color, that would make sense. It's not; in fact that's by far the least significant aspect of it. You've been propagandized. Wake up!
Are you racist or not? Why the parentheses?
