This bus sounds so much like the O405's we used to have in Sydney (they were finally withdrawn in Janurary this year). I used to have a O405 every day as my school bus for a few months last year. (School buses are operated by the local bus operator here)
Yeah lucky we got those buses back then really hated being behind them when they took off though hurts the ears a bit
You was not kidding that engine was eargasmic :D As far as Tettau, this bus definitely has my vote to be used for the other line but if you get more votes to use the older Mercedes Benz then that would be cool as well.

To answer your question about the similarity between mercs and MAN busses: All german city and suburban buses used to share the same basic design from the sixties through to the nineties. There is a governing body called VOV (which is some sort of abbreviation for the german public transport board) which agreed on a standard bus design for a city bus and a suburban bus. The Merc O305 and O307 as well as the MAN SU you drove last time and the SL200 series that the default OMSI double-deckers are based on are all compilant to the VOV I standard, whereas the O405 and O407 with all of their derivatives, as well as the MAN SL202 and all of it's derivatives, are compliant with the VOV II standard (from the mid 80's onwards).

You have pointed in the video
similarities in bus design.
It is becsuse of standard of the design back from 1970-2000.
City buses used standard called VÖV (Standard Stadtbus), first generation you can compare Mercedes O305 and MAN SL200, for the second generation Mercedes O405 and MAN SL202.
Also there was the standard design for intercity buses called STÜLB (Standard Überlandbus), again first generation MAN SÜ240 and Mercedes O307 (There were others too like Magirus Deutz L117 if I remember correctly) and for second generation MAN SÜ242 vs Mercedes O407.
If you compare pictures of buses I wrote you, you can see that chassis are 90% the same except engine, gearbox and few minor details ;)
As this is now the end of June I have long finished school. Going back for more courses in September. Look forward to more OMSI 2.
If I'm remember correctly, the designs was almost identical due to a statewide spec in West Germany for city buses in the 70-80's. I know that was the case for fire trucks in Germany
While the engine only ties places with the B7TL, it definitely tops the ALX400. And that bus looks a lot bigger inside than out.

Qwerty there’s a patch for the 0305 needed for this bus , so you have any idea where I can find it ?
the brands only make the chassis and the engines. the bodies are supplied by a third party company. i own a mercedes 0814 bus with a plaxton body. its a van based body where mercedes supplied the cab too. then plaxton built the body. they are coachbuilders.

not being mean qwerty but when you at the beginning of the video, dont just do nothing on the video like sit there looking inside the bus, and talk about the bus, if you do that its just boring for the first 8 minutes of the video so please start doing that when driving the bus rather than doing nothing
