How much do the course go in depth on what it takes to story-tell, educate and actively listen to your future clients? Like is there a test on your ability to effectively do that? And if so, can you work on that independently with a mentor that works or has worked as a SE? Ty
So the course mentions storytelling and is heavy on active listening. No such test, there are slides and they are presented by the various instructors. There are opportunities to do hands-on exercises during class and with mentors in 1-on-1 sessions. I think people joining as an end all be all will be disappointed but those who are able to adjust will still have success 🤷🏾
@@goatf0rm Thanks! Yeah, this seems like something to have in addition to whatever know how and soft skills from previous titles that can qualify a person to transfer into a SE role. I think I may work with a experienced mentor that's currently in the industry independently with some drills and homework etc. Thank you for replying! Can't wait to see you land a role! 👏🏾👏🏾

Oh, and there's a final Mock Demo that includes 3-8 minutes of discovery call prior to the actual demo!

Yeah I think everyone will have a different experience. The biggest consideration is if it's the right fit for the individual.. hope this helps!
