Everyone Missed This 1800's Coin - Minelab Manticore - Metal Detecting Oregon and Beyond!

13 years ago ( here's my old video hunt • Metal Detecting Oregon... ), when I had just started detecting, swinging the Ace 250), I was in the Oregon Treasure Trail Society club (club today ottsclub.org). My first year detecting 2010-2011, I came in 2nd place detectorist of the year in the club (not bad for a rookie). Check out their website for some really cool pics and back ground story's. My point is, the club and I hunted this park and we all missed this old coin.
And this isn't the only time that the club has hunted here. Plus all the hunters that have detected here, including me, many times over, through the years.
The Manticore had really been doing well.

That is a British One Penny…I found one dated 1872 on one of my old sites over here in Eastern Oregon! Yours has more detail, mine was starting to get pretty slick when it was dropped, but mine has the most beautiful green patina. Great find, especially in such a hunted out area.

First off, as you may know by now if you've watch mine or anyone's videos with the Manticore, ESPECIALLY coming from the Etrac, it can difficult. I think the biggest struggle is trust. But if you just trust it, it will be easier. Do you have regular days off? The next few dry days, I'll be out. And congrats!
